The property was as advertised. Very clean and quiet and convenient to walk to the Main Street area. Cool building history, and the owners knocked it out of the park with repurposing this building into what it is today. Great job!

Being a construction professional, I recognize quality in workmanship - this facility is well built and finishes in construction are excellent; blending new work with existing brick conditions is magnificent. The decorating is exquisite and very fashionable. Bathrooms are excellent and showers are unique. Compliments to the Interior Decorator. Very pleasant stay.

This is a beautiful place. We have enjoyed being here. The rooftop terrace is fabulous, the the lobby downstairs is also unique. My friends and I love it.

Beautiful property with spacious, clean rooms. Nice outdoor space on the second floor. Quiet and walkable to duckpin bowling and several restaurants in downtown Madison. Will stay here every time we need to visit the area.

We loved this newly done hotel in Madison! I’m usually too cheap to go for the boutique hotel route, but this one was reasonably priced for what you get. The check-in process was clearly explained and very easy (you receive a code via email that gives you access to the building and your room). We loved the extra touches including locally made and sold chocolates, soap, and coffee; plus the wallpaper and decor added a unique touch. After dinner, we enjoyed sitting out on the rooftop space. Our only less favorable comment on the room was that it would be nice to have a place to sit other than two small stool or the desk chair, but this definitely did not ruin our stay. I would highly recommend The Chandler Hotel for a special, but not overly expensive, getaway!

The Chandler Hotel was the perfect place to enjoy our weekend getaway! We were able to walk every where once we parked. The room was so relaxing and spacious. The best surprise was the rooftop space! Will definitely stay here again!

My wife and I have done our fair share of traveling, and I can say that the Chandler Hotel might be the best place we have ever stayed. The owners have done an incredible job of restoring an old building into a first class hotel. The lobby and our room were spotless. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of room to stretch out. The electric fireplace added a nice touch of ambiance. There is no one on site so check in and communication is all done through email, but that worked seamlessly. We really appreciated the small touches such as a bottle of chilled water and glasses in the mini fridge and pre measured coffee. There was also an area down the hall from our room with extra towels or coffee if needed. We were able to park on street right in front of hotel. Great location for everything in downtown Madison. Such a great little town with so much going on all the time. We loved our weekend here and can't wait to return. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean. A real coffee pot with real coffee pre-measured - no pods! Spacious and well-appointed bathroom. By far the quietest hotel in which I’ve ever stayed. Charming town on the Ohio River.

Usually only review terrible stays but have to break tradition. The Chandler is a wonderful hotel. Spacious rooms, clean, big bathroom and shower that actually has enough water coming out of the shower head. Zero complaints. Will stay again.

Amazing hotel in Madison! Probably one of the nicest places I have stayed in a small town. Bedding was perfect, tv size and location again perfect. Bathroom, perfect. Lobby area matches the vibe of the entire property. A must stay.

I love the art in the hallways as well as in the room. Everything was clean. Nice shower and very comfortable bed. The "TV" chairs were nice and somewhat comfortable. Nice sized table and chairs and essential kitchen items.

This was a great boutique hotel for a night away. The shower alone with its huge rain shower head was enough to bring me back on its own, but the room was so pretty and comfortable. Can't wait to come back again and maybe try another room.

The hotel was beautiful-loved the historical component. The room was clean and charming as well. The only complaint was the mattress was pretty firm, so I woke up with a very sore back. But that is just a personal preference! We would definitely stay again if in the area!

Beautifully restored 1870 building. Well appointed guest room. Check in was difficult because we never received the required code to enter. Room was tastefully decorated, but the bed was very uncomfortable. Shower and coffee pot were nice touches.

The Chandler is a brand new hotel in the heart of historic downtown Madison, IN. It is within walking distance of everything, only a block off Main Street. What a nice surprise! While called a hotel, The Chandler acts like an Airbnb. There is no staff and you are given a unique code to enter the building and your room. The building has clearly been lovingly and beautifully renovated to suit its new purpose. The rooms are all on the second floor, so beware if stairs are an issue. But it is definitely worth the hike up a few steps. Each room is unique with different design elements, all very lovely. There are vaulted ceilings, exposed brick and wood floors, giving it an "old world" factor, but brand new modern appointments for the trendy feel. There's an outdoor space with comfy furniture to lounge on and a cooler of beverages for sale for your convenience. One minor suggestion I have would be to incorporate some kind of snack vending since there is no nearby convenience store, but there were a couple of sweet treats (from the local chocolate store, I would imagine) to greet our entry. We also appreciated the fresh flowers -- lovely touches to make you feel welcome. All the elements of comfort and convenience were also included - little fridge, plenty of outlets, complimentary toiletries, good towels, etc. We were happy to be able to sign in to YouTube and Netflix on the TV as well. We loved this newly done boutique hotel in Madison! The check-in process was clearly explained and very easy (you receive a code via email that gives you access to the building and your room). We loved the extra touches including locally made and sold chocolates, soap, and coffee; plus the wallpaper and decor added a unique touch. We enjoyed sitting out on the rooftop space. Our only less favorable comment on the room was that it would be nice to have a place to sit other than two small stool or the desk chair, but this definitely did not ruin our stay. I would highly recommend The Chandler Hotel for a special, but not overly expensive, getaway!

Beautiful property and very nice room. We had everything we needed and knew (from the book in the room) where to find additional supplies like ice, towels, etc. Within walking distance of the downtown, river, restaurants, coffee cafes, bars and shopping. Would most definitely stay here again.

This was a great place!! Nice location. Room was very well kept. History all over the decor. The older building has been beautifully renovated. Close to several nice restaurants and a couple of blocks from the river. Highly recommend.

Awesome, large room. Cool digital fireplace. Very unique look to the room and hotel. Easy walk to the Riverwalk and many restaurants. Very pleased with everything about the hotel, except maybe parking on the street.

The Chandler is a brand new hotel in the heart of historic downtown Madison, IN. It is within walking distance of everything, only a block off Main Street. What a nice surprise! While called a hotel, The Chandler acts like an Airbnb. There is no staff and you are given a unique code to enter the building and your room. The building has clearly been lovingly and beautifully renovated to suit its new purpose. The rooms are all on the second floor, so beware if stairs are an issue. But it is definitely worth the hike up a few steps. Each room is unique with different design elements, all very lovely. There are vaulted ceilings, exposed brick and wood floors, giving it an "old world" factor, but brand new modern appointments for the trendy feel. There's an outdoor space with comfy furniture to lounge on and a cooler of beverages for sale for your convenience. One minor suggestion I have would be to incorporate some kind of snack vending since there is no nearby convenience store, but there were a couple of sweet treats (from the local chocolate store, I would imagine) to greet our entry. We also appreciated the fresh flowers -- lovely touches to make you feel welcome. All the elements of comfort and convenience were also included - little fridge, plenty of outlets, complimentary toiletries, good towels, etc. We were happy to be able to sign in to YouTube and Netflix on the TV as well. My wife and I have done our fair share of traveling, and I can say that the Chandler Hotel might be the best place we have ever stayed. The owners have done an incredible job of restoring an old building into a first class hotel. The lobby and our room were spotless. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of room to stretch out. The electric fireplace added a nice touch of ambiance. There is no one on site so check in and communication is all done through email, but that worked seamlessly. We really appreciated the small touches such as a bottle of chilled water and glasses in the mini fridge and pre measured coffee. There was also an area down the hall from our room with extra towels or coffee if needed. We were able to park on street right in front of hotel. Great location for everything in downtown Madison. Such a great little town with so much going on all the time. We loved our weekend here and can't wait to return. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean. A real coffee pot with real coffee pre-measured - no pods! Spacious and well-appointed bathroom. By far the quietest hotel in which I’ve ever stayed. Charming town on the Ohio River.

I love the art in the hallways as well as in the room. Everything was clean. Nice shower and very comfortable bed. The "TV" chairs were nice and somewhat comfortable. Nice sized table and chairs and essential kitchen items.

Very clean and efficient. Keypads on doors have no lighting until the 1st number is pressed. This makes your initial selection a bit of a guess. Also, both me and my wife weren’t fans of the pillows. In general, nice room and a simple process.

We had a great stay here because of the beautifully restored building, our spacious and comfortable room, and the perfect location - not directly on Main Street but just a block away, making it both quiet and convenient. Be aware that there are no staff on site - access to the building and your room are via numeric code sent to you ahead of your stay. This was a new experience for us but it worked just fine. There's also no restaurant or bar on the premises, but step outside and you'll have many choices just steps away. We would definitely stay here again on a return visit to Madison.
