Helena Inn - Airport

No one was ever at the desk even when we tried to check in. We left and came back later, Afterwards whenever we had a question or needed something he was also never there or had no answers - could never help us, Elevator went out and we were on 3rd fl and my husband is disabled. Really nothing good to say,

Cable is out, an odor in the hallway, next to the airport so an occasional jet over the property. Elevator is dirty, water stains on the ceiling in the bathroom.

First of all, this was over $100/night. The internet did not work-I had to use the family's personal wifi to get my work done. The TV cable was less than minimal. Most of the channels had no signal. I wont say the place was dirty but the dim lights gave the impression of being dingy. I have never seen a stack of broken air conditioning units just sitting in the lobby of another hotel in this price range. The included breakfast left a lot to be desired for a hotel room at this price. I would expect something like this at a Motel 6 or a Super 8, but not at this price.

We had requested a pet friendly room when I reserved. Was given a room on the second floor with carpet. Ugh. Was charged $30 extra for it even though pet fee on the website is listed at $20. Back access door was unlocked so anyone could enter without a key.

Convenient location right off the highway, but lacking presence by staff. Had to ring bell to summon someone to front desk to check in (he was there quickly), was given key and when I opened the door to my room, there was already someone in there! Unacceptable to see a lack of proper tracking of who checked out (or not!) - it felt unsafe - which was evident the next morning when there was a sign to simply leave your key (along with at least a dozen others) on the front counter - again, no staff present to manage and properly record the check out process. Following my uncomfortable experience with the first room, I found the new room very dark upon entry (blackout blinds closed, likely to keep heat out) which was not very welcoming. It was clean, but a little dated looking. I walked by a toilet plunger sitting on the floor in the hallway (gross!)… not sure what that was about but it was still there the next morning when I left. It was OK overall, but I will not choose to stay there again on my return leg through town.

Parking Lot not well lit; room superficially clean, but could use a deep clean. Aged. Staff Member was accommodating to change us to a 3rd floor quieter room

Lots of outdoor trash and abandon vehicles. Exit doors were taped open so they did not lock at night. Appears to be a homeless shelter. I was informed by local resident that the business maybe bought by city to function as a homeless shelter. I witnessed many people come and go through the adjacent U-Haul facility behind the building. Limited parking so I had to park my vehicle behind building where groups of people were gathered at night. Also several stored vehicles under tarps and a run down rv beside the parking lot. At checking had to wait 15 min for staff to assist us. Never saw a staff member after that. Rooms old as was the interior and exterior.

No one was ever at the front desk. When they did come couldn’t get us checked in because computer was down. POOR internet. Advertised a hot breakfast the only thing hot was the toast and juice. Only toast, cereal, fruit and yogurt offered. 1 of 3 ice machines worked. Computer in lobby was not even hooked up.

Two ice machines and no ice to keep things cool on the morning we left. The breakfast was entirely continental, no waffles or pancakes, sausages, eggs and so on. Roomwas very nice with a desk and three chairs, one for the desk and two easy chairs for reading or sitting and talking.

Very clean. Helpful staff. Easy parking and liked the laundry available.

This hotel is in great need of renovation. Dirty and dusty in common areas. Rusted heater and other things in the bathroom. Stained bathtub. At least the linens and towels were clean. Pretty terrible breakfast.

Back hallway was dirty. Bathroom toilet was dirty. Soap tray was very dirty. AC was not working due to filthy filters, which I had to clean myself, and it was disgusting.

When we went to check in, there was no one at the front desk and when the desk clerk came out he could barely speak English. The room we were given wasn't clean, the floors weren't vacuumed or they were vacuumed by a blind person, the window sill was filthy with dirt and dead flies, the toilet was plugged and the bathroom floor had hair and bits of paper or some sort of pieces of wrappers scattered about. I asked management to relocate to us to another room. This room was cleaner but not near as clean as it should have been. The bath towels were small and thin, the soap bar furnished was about the size of a fifty cent piece, there were only two cups to use and only half a roll of toilet paper was in the bathroom, no extra roll. A hot breakfast was included which included cold cereal, four glazed doughnuts and and a handful of white bread for toast, that was it! Bottom line, if you are looking for a $35 room and are willing to pay $68 for it, this is the place to stay!

The shower floor is gross, tv didn’t work, anything that was metal( tissue holder and heated baseboard in bathroom) were rusty. Highly do NOT recommend.

I do a lot do traveling and this one takes the cake for the worst place I’ve stayed! I had to wash my feet and sandals (cause my feet make them sticky) after walking on the carpet. Grime on the walls, scum in the tub, carpet edging falling off the walls, computer chair was disgusting, once the initial “good smell” wore of when first opening the door, the room hinted at pee, my bed was saggy, the curtains were so old they had holes in them, the stairwell reeked of cigarette smoke, the outside had weeds, garbage and cigarette butts everywhere. Went in for breakfast, there was a sticky trap on the floor, dirty and dingy. Didn’t even look around for what was available because there wasn’t much out there.

Bed sheets stained, room dirty and very hot

The room looked like not vacuumed in months there was blood and mucus smeared on walls. The nightstand was full ofbtrash and old room keys. This place was disgusting.

This place was one of the WORST dives that we have ever seen! Absolutely filthy and disgusting. You would get better furniture from digging in the dump..Breakfast? 2 old rotten bananas with cold cereal. No where near the airport either. Don't do it!!!

Bed Bugs. Blood dirty. Left without stsying.

The chair in the room was torn and worn through, the wall had stuff spilled all down it and then dust and dirt attached to it. There was sticky stuff on the bathroom floor. The continental breakfast was Raisin Bran or Fruit loops, a loaf of bread and green bananas.

It’s a good stay for a night. The room is big enough for four adults.

No TV and was not made aware of the problem until er asked.

Deserted. Cable was out. They said it would be fixed in a few min. Didn't happen. Still not fixed by morning. Breakfast was basic cereal and juice.

Booked two rooms, TV did not work in one. One room had no sliding door on the closet, the other room's closet door fell off while trying to open it. Both rooms had a wall entrsnce light that did not work. Breakfast was very poor.

We stayed for a night just waiting for the rest of our party. It was fine just for a bed to sleep in for the night. The tv didn’t work, the WiFi wasn’t reliable, and we had to tinker with the toilet to get it to flush every time. The room was superficially clean. With all that being said, it was an okay place to take a shower and sleep for the night on a budget.

I have stayed at a few hotels and you know I usually go for ones that have pools but this one just fit my financial needs than anywhere else and even though it don't have a pool customer service is nice friendly and understanding the rooms are very spacious they're clean it's quiet I know no problem with noise didn't feel like it was haunted perfect temperature the heaters and coolers whatever work was like good in the room

Clean Room. 95% of the TV channels are not playing. Disappointing.

The walls are pretty thin, it’s an older building for sure but they did a decent job renovating it. For the price it’s hard to beat

When we arrived to check-in, we were immediately told that our reservation was not found and they had no vacancy. When I reached out to Expedia, they called the motel and I saw the guy answer and pretend to look for our reservation. As soon as he hung up, suddenly he informed me that another room had been canceled and that I was able to rent a room from him, but at an increased rate. This was an obvious scam to me. So I declined and left the motel. We will not be back and will never recommend them.

It was new management. They seemed to be confused about everything. They could not get the TV to work. Things were in a mess all over. They charged me twice for the same night. They called me on my cell phone waking me up at midnight asking me when I would arrive. I was already in the room that they had checked me in to. They were confused about almost everything. They tried switching me to a king room, but I needed the 2 beds that I had reserved. A King room would not have worked for us.

Poor customer service and relations. No staff to be seen unless you rang the bell. Breakfast? Would not consider a loaf of bread, fruit loops and a jug of milk breakfast. Not organized and no staff in duty. Do not recommend.

When I checked in they gave me a room that someone was already in. 2nd room was not very clean you needed to wear shoes. The bed was comfortable

Firstly we had to wait for the front desk person to show up when checking in. The room had no phone and the staff couldn't have cared less. The Wi-Fi could not be activated by anyone in our party. Again who cares. And breakfast was a complete joke. Never Again.

I arrived late night to find no one at the desk with a sign stating they were currently helping other guests and a doorbell next to it which i realized goes to a back room thats tinted so you can't see in. Someone quickly came out though. Arrived to our room and noticed what appeared to be dried boogers stuck to the wall near the bed and a wet sagging ceiling tile above the toilet which indicates the toilet above most likley has a leak. Waking up after 3 hours of sleep and hoping for a decent breakfast like seen in the pics only to realize that the only thing available was toast with jelly. The cereal dispensers pretty much had crumbs in it, no sign of anything else being served, the coffee machine was empty and would only dispense hot water but didnt even have tea bags and never once saw an employee. Even the counters were disgusting and covered junk and a portion used for storage. Trying to check out and realized theres still no one at the desk but can hear people arguing in the back room. This time theres a sign that states do not rung doorbell to check out..leave key in basket. Even the key card envelopes have been reused so many times that they were torn, falling apart, new numbers written over each other. Then leaving you can see garbage and debri all around the parking lot and grounds Just purely neglected, dusgusted property, and staff always hidden.

Check in was quick, once someone came to the desk. But right from there on things got worse all through to checking out the next morning. The room assigned to us had only hot air blowing from the A/C. Called the desk, he knew it wasn't working and I asked to be moved and questioned why they would put us in there knowing that it wasn't working as there were plenty of available rooms, no answer. The freezer of the mini fridge was so iced up, that when we opened the door, the cover to the freezer compartment fell off. Then we moved rooms. Both rooms the furniture was well worn, but I will say the bed was comfortable and we requested an additional towel and pillow and we picked that up at the front desk. Other things to point out was the bathroom ceiling was water stained and the comfy chair, under the cushion had a piece of chocolate and wrappings that had not been cleaned. Breakfast was advertised to be included and part of the price paid for the night. Upon check in we were told breakfast was from 6am to 9am. We got to breakfast around 7:30am and there literally was no bread, buns or muffins of any sort. The container was empty only butter and cream cheese to put on nothing. I was so outraged that I went to the front desk to ask where breakfast was. I had to ring at the front desk only to have woken up the attendant. His reply was the person who was responsible for bringing the breakfast items hadn't done so. I requested $20 refund, so we could purchase breakfast elsewhere.

The lobby smelled awful and was practically abandoned. We waited about 10min for someone to check us in. The young man working was wearing what looked like pajamas (track pants and slides with no socks), and kept his ear buds in the whole time. He was short with us when we had questions. The room had a broken air conditioner, visible dirt and dust, an old/uneven paint job from a precious decorative stage, and stains on the wall. There were holes in the curtains and the furniture was shabby and broken. The bedding and the bathroom were clean enough, which is the only reason we ended up staying. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6am but by 6:45 there was no sign of anyone or any breakfast preparation.

The staff is okay. The room is spacious. The outside of the buidling is not so inviting, it was plain no landscape. When i went inside there was no air conditioning, dark. I was hesitant to stay. The wall of our room,windows and the dining/ meal are needs clean. This place has a good potential to grow its near the airport but it needs improvement.

Is a good place for a simply stay, is close to many important areas in Helena.

Room was clean, recently painted and carpet was in good shape. Bathroom floor was a bit sticky. Front desk staff were pleasant. Breakfast was basic, as I would expect from a budget hotel. Proximity to the freeway made it a bit noisy. I would stay there again.

Simple and clean. No hot breakfast. Location is convenient.

Close to restaurants and the airport, very convenient. Weeds need cutting.

Welcoming staff, clean room with coffee maker microwave and mini fridge. Walkable to one restaurant. Commercial area with some freeway traffic noise.

Was exactly what you’d expect for an inn. Very convenient location - good for a one night stay.

Not a great location in terms of property placement. It does have easy access to highways, gas stations and a 24hr diner. The room door setup on the ground floor can be very noisy. It was a clean, cheap and convenient place for me to sleep a couple nights while visiting family.

It's in a quiet place.

This place has everything you need and nothing you don't. Not all that close to Helena's attractions, but close to the airport. Reasonably priced.

Garbage all in front of building. Room good. Breakfast was toast, yogurt, orange juice, cereal and coffee.

At checkin there was nobody at the counter. The property is at a dead end street. A hot breakfast was advertised there wasn’t any hot Food in the dining room only toast , yogurt. Coffee. After getting coffee while sitting in the dining room we watched a mouse come from behind the refrigerator on the counter and go to the cereal dispenser and stand up on its hind feet and take cereal out and go back behind the fridge. He made 5 or 6 trips back and forth. We informed the attendant he said he would clean it up, I told him he needed to close the hotel and fumigate the hotel. Where can I insert pictures and videos to backup my review of this hotel? I recommend if there’s an Indian as the attendant go to a different hotel! Do I need to report this hotel to the health department?

This hotel smells a lot. They were in need to change carpets everywhere decades ago. It stinks. The free breakfast is a joke. Milk and old cereals, coffee. It's the cheapest hotel in the area so you will get what you paid.

Very run down property. They are doing some renovations but broken front door whose windows aren’t cleaned and heaters stacked in lobby blocking a fire door for the elevator. Worst breakfast that had a loaf of white bread only. Dark hallways Room was better

Barebones operation with broken equipment and no staff. Beds were terrible and breakfast was disgusting (just white bread for toast and some jam/spreads in the fridge).

The rooms were clean, however, there was no TV connections, lack of parking area. The continental breakfast was minimal. Bread and jelly, cornflakes or frootloops generic brands. milk and orange juice. Apples and bananas, in limited quantities. very disappointed.
