Quality Inn Ocean City Beachfront

One evening the elevator wasn't working and we were staying on the fourth floor and had to walk up, but it was fixed by morning.

The elevators were not safe. The in-door pool was extremely dirty.

The value was good. You get what you expect for the price. No major issues. Cons. Indoor pool water was cold. Could not regulate heat/ac in the room. Pros. It was beachfront which was my number one requirement. The hotel was clean.

Keycard reader on door broke, tv had a black line down the middle. The room was large and comfortable, had a nice beach front view. Continental breakfast was okay but could have more variety added. Outdoor pool had a lot of seagull feces and they were swimming in the pool not sure if there’s anyway around that because you’re at the beach. Also, the elevator stopped working a few times while we were there.

Great location. It’s very nice there are two pools. One inside , one outside. Higher floor ocean view is definitely the way to go. Breakfast was convenient and satisfactory. Hotel could use some updating. Plumbing is definitely a problem as upon arrival the toilet backed up overflowing over the entire floor. Staff member gave us the plunger and towels to clean up.

Beautiful beachfront. Nice location. Indoor and outdoor pool. With poolside lounging. Two beach accesses and property REALLY IS BEACHFRONT.

The Pool Area Was Not As Clean As It Could Be , Furniture Needs Upgrading .

Trash around property. Leaking ice machine and sea gulls constantly in the pool.

The view was amazing the hotel room was adequate clean enough but the outdoor pool was gross seagulls poop all over deck feathers in the pool no one cleaning up hotel grounds the indoor pool deck needed hosed down and no security

During our recent stay, we experienced a severe and unacceptable situation. Our original room (Room 316) was infested with bedbugs, which we discovered shortly after checking in. We were moved to another room (Room 325), directly across the hall — yet this room also had serious issues. The tub and sink barely drained, the shower head made loud noises, and worst of all, my infant was bitten. I have photo evidence showing red marks and swelling on his face. We were charged nearly $1,000 for this stay — for unsanitary, unsafe conditions. When I spoke with the General Manager, Donnie Wooten, he acknowledged the presence of bedbugs in the first room but attempted to downplay my concerns about the second, even suggesting my child could’ve been bitten elsewhere. I’m still waiting on a call back to confirm the investigation into the second room where my son was bitten. What’s even more alarming is the lack of accountability and proper room inspection. Are these rooms not being thoroughly checked before being given to paying guests? Housekeeping clearly missed obvious health hazards. The last morning, I woke up feeling itchy and uncomfortable myself. This has been one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The lack of cleanliness, health safety, and customer care is beyond disappointing. I strongly urge others to avoid this hotel — especially families with young children. RUN FAR AWAY!!!! DISGUSTING!!! We decided to try a new hotel this year, and it was a HUGE mistake. Checked into an ocean front room on 9/21. When walking to the room, we observed the indoor pool that looked like an absolute swamp. Stagnant water with a film of mold and mildew across it. The elevator had trash in it and greasy finger prints everywhere. The hallways have a distinct musty smell. Walked in the room and I was instantly disgusted. There was food throughout the room! Tomatoes on the floor and onions on the floor and nightstand— right beside a hand written intro note from the housekeeper! The bedding was DIRTY- stained, wrinkled, and appeared to have been slept in. I pulled down the comforter and there was black hair throughout the white (ish….) sheets. Stains on the carpet. The fridge was smelly and had food spilled in it. The freezer was completely frosted over and covered in spilled food. The bathroom was dirty and had not been swept or mopped. The microwave had food splattered. I immediately called the front desk and they sent up 2 housekeepers who didn’t at all seem concerned. When the dirty bedding was pointed out to them, they said “yea, they should’ve changed the sheets.” They were then asked if they change the sheets between guests and they did not respond! They offered us a different room, but due to the absolute filth we walked into, and the housekeepers seeming unbothered, I immediately started calling different hotels and demanded a refund.

Just stayed for 3 nights for the Oceans Calling Festival. Arrived late Thursday night and went to room which seemed ok for cleanliness but not great. Woke in the morning to discover bed bugs in one of the beds. The front desk apologized and changed our room and comped our night. Next room was just filthy. The toilet had not been cleaned, there were used sheets and food in the couch when pulled out. Just filthy. They comped me again for which I am thankful. I do not usually write reviews and the front desk staff were very kind and helpful, but the place is just unacceptable. Filthy.

Dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The moment I walked in I could tell it wasn’t clean. The carpet was dirty, not vacuumed, and a bunch of random crap under the beds. The tables and walls were dirty..literal water streaks running down one wall. Outside under the ac, muddy/rusty water spot. Pools were cold. Breakfast area too small and just mediocre food. We think there was black mold on our ceiling. Took 3 days and two times asking for things to get fixed and cleaned. Also, they said they’d give me 85$ off first night. I have to call because this did not show up on my credit card. The beds were comfortable and we liked to close location to the beach. 😩

Location of the property is excellent but is not being maintained properly. The rooms are outdated and have mold everywhere on ceilings and walls. The building with city view is even worse and elevator is not working. Staff trying their best but I do not think they are trained in hospitality at all. Basic help as how to get your suitcase to your room was missing and they found it funny that elevator is not working. At the same time if you asked for help they went out of their way. Indoor pool was dirty. I am not sure if they even cleaned it. The breakfast is not good. I know many who went out to eat. The view from ocean view was excellent and off the boardwalk which is great to walk to everything but not have the noise.

room had mold (smelled bad) no room service unless requested ( no garbage pick up, run out of toiletries pull out couch no sheets to sleep on just a mattress pad) pool water murky, would not recommend this place at all.

A lesson in why not to procrastinate. Needed a room for two nights at the beach for a concert. Waited too late to have a better selection. Paid a lot of money!!!! For a balcony that faced the ocean. The hotel is rundown and dirty. I wished I’d brought a sleeping bag. Stripped off a lot of the bedding due to mystery stains. Visible dirt on the floor, downstairs hair and head hair on the floor in the bedroom, a barely cool mini fridge that had blue stuff spilled in it, broken switches in the bathroom, a wall heater with rust and exposed wiring and an air conditioning vent that could be used for bio warfare because it hadn’t been cleaned since the Carter administration.

A table on the balcony would have been good... A giant dresser right in front of the AC unit was annoying.

The staff was nice and friendly. The room we had was small for 4 people. The hotel and room is outdated. The elevator is old. The breakfast was good. Great location for the beach.

Property has 2 buildings— a large interior hotel that faced the beach and a smaller rundown motel across the parking lot facing the street. The room we reserved was city view so that put us in the rundown motel building. The room was extremely small and rundown. The balcony sliding door wouldn’t open, there were stains on the bathroom walls and ceiling tiles, the phone wasn’t connected to anything, and there was mold or mildew on the window AC unit that was in the wall. The location was good, no problem finding parking and the 2 pools were fine. If you book, I would highly recommend getting oceanfront or at least ensure you are in the large building on the beach. Note: the lobby is in the motel portion. There are no signs so we had no clue where to check in until we asked a cleaning lady.

We had an amazing time!!! You can tell the hotel is old but they kept the grounds and area clean. City side was warm and elevator scary lol. Ocean side was nicer seemed more updated maybe newer. Both sides altogether will be coming back!!!

The check in was seamless and the room was clean, up to date and we had no issues with the oceanfront room.

The hotel is right on the beach! The room was a decent size but it’s extremely dated and not well taken care of.

It was close to the beach which was convenient but the walls were paper thin. You can hear everything your neighbor is doing so part for quiet neighbors and not ones who decide to turn tvs on to max volume after 11pm just because. The rooms are small and the double beds seemed small too. Was the former Econolodge that Quality Inn must have bought. Property didnt seem to be like other Qualty Inns I have stayed at

The room smelt nice and was clean. Just out dated and in need of normal maintenance for a hotel on the beach. Bathroom fixtures rusted and what appears to be mold. Kitchenette was outdated as well. Cabinet hinges loose. Location was perfect for attractions, most within a short walking distance. Water park and amusement park direction across the street. Plenty of restaurants and shops.

Views were amazing. Love that it is just down from the board walk (1-2 blocks). Building and rooms are in need of an update. Cleanliness was okay. Staff were very friendly and helpful!

I LOVE the proximity of this hotel to the beach. Our view was beautiful. Each staff member we encountered was so very kind. However, they all were clearly ran ragged. They did make every effort to help us with anything we needed, but the hotel has a policy where there is housekeeping every third day for extended stay guests. Our room wasn’t cleaned at all & we were there for 7 nights. We would put our note out listing our requests (replacement towels, toilet paper, etc.) and we received most of the items. People are putting their dirty towels in piles in the hallway, and all their bags full of trash. The staff is working hard…there just simply aren’t enough of them.

We stayed here with our two kids, visiting from Frederick, MD, and had a great experience! The hotel manager, Eric, was amazing—super friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect for our family. His hospitality really made our stay special. Highly recommend!

We had a great 3 days stay. Lots of dining options around.Walking distance to boardwalk and parks. Just a little problem with a buthtub which was resolved promptly by manager Eric. He also gave us some refund/credit for the inconvenience. Thank you for the nice vacation to hotel and stuff.

On the expedia there was a picture of the building facing the Ocean but we got rooms on the other side . I booked it together but we two families were given 2 seperate rooms 221 & 326 on second & third floors though we wanted it at least on the same floor. The rooms were Smelly, bathroom tub on the second floor was blocked. Not a great experience booking with Expedia!!

Direct beach access. Smaller scale hotel - nothing super fancy, but clean & Eric at the front desk (perhaps a manager) went above and beyond to remedy an error on Expedia’s part. An upgrade guaranteed room was booked & unavailable upon check in. I could have cried - this little getaway was intended to be without the burden of flying & be a balcony suite, oceanfront (which is my zen zone). While it was not a balcony as expected - Eric was able to gain us access to oceanfront as promised. While this may, for some, may appear as an expectation - in the industry and world we live in? Such as a small resort (seasonally active) town such as OCMD, there are no guarantees & customer service can be obsolete. But Eric chose to NOT be like the others - and while not the fanciest of hotels, he was wonderful & we must pay respect where it is due!

Internet was working perfectly. The building is old but everything in the room worked very well. Everyone was very professional, friendly and helpful.

The staff here is excellent. Eric at the front desk was so helpful and kind. Without him, our stay in Ocean City would have been a lot different. He gave us so many good recommendations, especially since we had small children with us. I only gave this hotel an average rating because breakfast was very disappointing (no meat, potatoes or eggs) and our room wasn’t as clean as it should have been. Still would recommend for the price.

Staff is very helpful and accommodationg! Great stay and very reasonable rate for Mid September! Would definitely come back!

We had an amazing time at this hotel. The staff were wonderful. The rooms were clean and the view from our room of the ocean was breathtaking.

As advertised. You get exactly what you see on the advertisement/posting. If you ask for ocean view you get ocean view. You ask for two queen beds that’s what you get. what I really liked about this particular hotel is the front desk. Very courteous. They Always pick up the phone . They answer your questions honestly. Whether you go into the front office or call them, they always respond- which I found very refreshing. I had a tough situation and they helped me and I am grateful.

We love the view and location of this hotel! Its our go-to when we visit OC!

The hotel is at a great location, past the crowded section of the main boardwalk but there wrre things to do and plenty of places to eat. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Easy walk to boardwalk. Comfortable room easy access to the beach

Good for whoever is looking for a beautiful and peaceful beach location where away from crowded people. Room is comfortable and convenient (Beachfront room) but don't expect too much for any luxury or any fancy things. It is just a basic room with daily facilities that you can stay over night and prefer to spend more time on the beach (just behind of the hotel) and boardwalk. Service and Breakfast were so-so, they are not much important for me, though. Another good thing is Hotel parking is plenty space for guests. p.s. You can walk from the hotel down to the main boardwalk but might not convenient as the hotel is located at the end of boardwalk (around 30th St.) and more restaurants, shops, tourist spots are between from 1th St to 20th St. I took a walk about 2 miles to get there, not too bad. There are also bicycles for rent along the boardwalk if you want to save your time to explore Ocean City scenery.

The breakfast area was small and crowded. Everything else was great.

I loved that it is beachfront and has an outside and inside pool! I did not like how the breakfast was set up! The breakfast needs to be different! There is not much room to dine once you make and choose your meal and too small for both buildings! I suggest having a breakfast set up in both buildings! Also need some protein added to the breakfast menu like eggs!

Property is a little older but clean. Loved the free continental breakfast each morning and the beach access just steps from my room!

Our room with balcony was oceanfront well priced. The free breakfast was a joke, It's prepackaged baked goods, oranges, cereal and waffle makers. The coffee provided was the worst. Staff was fine, room was fine, and the location is convenient.

Just off the end of the boardwalk, so it's quite a hike to the other end. Recommend bringing bikes! Decent accommodations, clean enough. Free breakfast but it's pretty minimal. A little strange that the outside doors were always open, no key required.

Beach view was awesome. Hotel was nice. Little outdated, but not at all bad. Great price for the time spent there. Staff was good. Breakfast area could be bigger and more selections would be nice.

Elevator was broken... bad knee no accommodations ...3rd floor room.. bathrooms near pool dirty... dining area a mess for breakfast... not enough breakfast options
