Great location and lived up to "The Hampton Inn" expectation. Had a small problem with the shower and they repaired it right away. Lady that served breakfast the first day was fantastic and the lady on the second day made fresh eggs for my grandsons. Pool was in great condition and a perfect temperature.

Visiting the area for a few days as a resting point on our way down to Nashville. We were so pleasantly surprised with this hotel stay! It was so clean, comfortable and in a perfect location to all of the local caves, mammoth cave and all the area activities. Everything is within a few minutes drive! The breakfast was standard with somethjng for everyone and the staff was so friendly and helpful. This is a well-kept hotel, very clean and right off the highway. Easy self parking. Looks like they are trying to develop this area with more restaurants and attractions. My family and I would definitely recommend and we are fairly picky about hotels. If you’re going to Mammoth Cave area and want a clean, convenient and comfortable stay, this is the place!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. We arrived very early and were able to get our room an hour before check in. The parking was easy and close to the building. Derek got us in quickly and apologized for not getting the two rooms closer. The pool was clean, but a little chilly. Breakfast was delicious. Stay here if you are going to Mammoth Cave!

We paid for 3 nights but left within 2. Pros: Hotel itself is decently upgraded. Breakfast was mediocre. Workout area was updated. Pool was good but cold. Cons: Our hotel room reeked like wet dog. Air conditioner leaked water all over the carpet, toilet ran nonstop, fridge was dirty and no freezer.

We paid for 3 nights but left within 2. Pros: Hotel itself is decently upgraded. Breakfast was mediocre. Workout area was updated. Pool was good but cold. Cons: Our hotel room reeked like wet dog. Check in was 3pm but room was not ready until 3:20pm. No shampoo in the shower. Breakfast was congested with only one waffle maker and minimal options. No hot tub was a huge downer as well with the pool being extra cold.

Our room had just had the carpets cleaned and there was a sticky residue on the carpets. Our feet and shows both collected this residue and it was not a good feeling. Notified the front desk immediately. The manager never responded. Told the front desk both in the evening and morning. No response. Poor customer service.

I gave this 3 stars because although the staff was very friendly and informative and everything in the room was in working order, our room smelled like someone had urinated in it and the a/c was leaking on the floor which caused an added mold smell which was just as off-putting as the urine smell.

Check in was ok. Room was ok. The bathroom smelled of mold and mildew and the TV remote was filthy. But the rest of the room seemed ok. The bed was comfortable.

Staff was friendly. The linens, floors, and room weren’t as clean as I’ve come to expect from the Hampton Inn chain. The tile and carpet floors in the room were very sticky, the towels and bed linens also had somewhat of a tacky feel. Although the ac filter appeared clean, the room had an underlying odor that smelled like it had previously been a smoking room. For the price I paid on a random Thursday night during off-season, compared to other similar properties I’ve booked in this price range, I was very disappointed in the quality of this stay.

The staff was friendly. The beds were comfortable, but the tile floor was sticky and the bathroom walls had hair and ickiness on them. The shower had mold on the bottom. For the price, I would look elsewhere on our next trip.

Everything was clean and staff was friendly. The only issue was the mattresses were too hard. Thia affected my back the next day and we did not sleep well.

There were a couple of issues with our (two) rooms. In one room there was significant leak in the drain under the sink with the P-trap likely caused by a clog in the main drain. It took the property a day to resolve it. The rooms have rolling 'barn doors' for the bathroom and closet. They are heavy and noisy. One came off the tracks. In one of the rooms the deadbolt was mis-aligned with the frame and would not extend-at all to fully secure the room. It was not due to a sagging door or closure issue (I tried). (Inexplicably?)The misalignment should have been noticed and fixed well be for I found it. Apparently no previous guest noticed it or communicate ted the problem. It was not fixed in our three night stay.

The property had a nice warm indoor pool, breakfast was very good. There was a bright fire alarm in the room that kept blinking all night long which was very distracting to me and my son. When I called down to the front desk they said this was normal but I've never been in a hotel room with a blinking fire alarm.

We came down to explore the caves. This hotel was beautiful! And they honestly had the best beds and pillows that I've ever slept on! Everyone was very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Excellent customer service! Room wasn't quite ready when I arrived and I opted to wait a little and they didn't want me to have to wait any longer so they compensated by giving me another room which was fine. Rooms are always lovely and clean. Very polite staff that engaged us even after we had been checked in meaning they recognized us and asked us about our stay. Very personable and friendly. We will always use the Hamptons!

Staff was all exceptionally pleasant, kind, and thoughtful. Got to the breakfast near the end, and staff assured us not to rush through. Everyone went the extra mile to make sure we were well attended too ... will definitely stay again if we go to Cave City.

Stayed 2 nights. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! Hotel and rooms are very clean. One of the better free breakfasts, biscuits & gravy were delicious! Outside felt very safe, well lite. Great area for pets to potty and get rid of some energy.

We made a reservation through Expedia and the hotel said that it had been cancelled but could not tell me who cancelled it. Obviously, I hadn't cancelled it nor had Expedia as I received an email from Expedia reminding me of my upcoming stay. However, for full price, Hampton was willing to let me stay but would NOT honor Expedia price. Thankfully, the rep from Expedia was extremely helpful and found us another hotel in the same area for our original price. Also, there were 2 families still awaiting rooms at 5:00 (check in was at 3:00) as their rooms were not ready. Glad we stayed somewhere else.

Did not sleep at all. You could hear every sound upstairs and in the hall! They had a school group staying and it was as if ten elephants were jumping rope upstairs all night. I complained several times, but nothing was done!

The hotel was nice. Great proximity to the national park. Several restaurants close by. We had a great stay. Breakfast ended a little too early and the beds were hard. Showers had great water pressure. The issues arrived after we returned home. We booked with hotels.com and paid for our room months in advance. Once home our credit card was charged again by the hotel for a much higher amount. They sent hotels.com an invoice for our day. The bill was for $50 less than we were charged (double charged as we had already paid for the room) Every time hotels.com contacted them there was one excuse after another about the manger not being in. Not sure what illegal activity they are up too but I would steer clear. Several other options in cave city to stay at and Glasgow is just a short drive away.

The hotel was very nice but the employees are what really made it. Very caring and friendly! Leita was exceptional at the front desk. One of the best experiences I have ever had checking into a hotel-AND we had to wait a few minutes! She handled it so well.

The hotel was very nice but the employees are what really made it. Very caring and friendly! Leita was exceptional at the front desk. One of the best experiences I have ever had checking into a hotel-AND we had to wait a few minutes! She handled it so well.

Visiting the area for a few days as a resting point on our way down to Nashville. We were so pleasantly surprised with this hotel stay! It was so clean, comfortable and in a perfect location to all of the local caves, mammoth cave and all the area activities. Everything is within a few minutes drive! The breakfast was standard with somethjng for everyone and the staff was so friendly and helpful. This is a well-kept hotel, very clean and right off the highway. Easy self parking. Looks like they are trying to develop this area with more restaurants and attractions. My family and I would definitely recommend and we are fairly picky about hotels. If you’re going to Mammoth Cave area and want a clean, convenient and comfortable stay, this is the place!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. We arrived very early and were able to get our room an hour before check in. The parking was easy and close to the building. Derek got us in quickly and apologized for not getting the two rooms closer. The pool was clean, but a little chilly. Breakfast was delicious. Stay here if you are going to Mammoth Cave!

Great location and lived up to "The Hampton Inn" expectation. Had a small problem with the shower and they repaired it right away. Lady that served breakfast the first day was fantastic and the lady on the second day made fresh eggs for my grandsons. Pool was in great condition and a perfect temperature.

Staff was all exceptionally pleasant, kind, and thoughtful. Got to the breakfast near the end, and staff assured us not to rush through. Everyone went the extra mile to make sure we were well attended too ... will definitely stay again if we go to Cave City.

Everything was fantastic but one small thing. The free coffee w breakfast was not good. Watered down. When I inquired thinking someone who made was not a coffee the reply was yeah maybe people complain but we are given rules to follow, it just is. I inquired who I could speak with and was told yeah it's just corporate. Well, my stay was fantastic, I just had to walk next door to mcdonalds to get my coffee. Would gladly comeback.👍. Fix coffee

The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was also quiet. I didn’t have any issues with hearing anyone in the hallways etc. breakfast was good, but had limited choices. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Simple but nice little Hampton Inn. The staff was great and super friendly. We traveled a with our dog and were happy with the amount of green space around the property. Decent gym and pool too!

Staff were the nicest people ever. Place was decent. Honey and Oak restaurant and Kentucky Down Under are a must! We don’t have small children but we absolutely LOVED the kangaroos and the cave tour there. It was a nice add on to the historic cave tour at Mammoth Cave NP.

Wished the room had a microwave. There is a communal one in the breakfast area guests can use 24/7. Fridge in room was small.

1) Unfriendly/unhelpful desk clerk: When I first arrived, there was no one manning the check in desk. After waiting several minutes, I found Jeffery down the hallway. I asked if he was managing check in to which he curtly responded, "I hope so." 2) Malfunctioning thermostat: When I repeatedly tried to adjust the wall thermostat, I got an error message. In response, I was told to manually adjust the temperature on the wall air conditioner which eventually seemed to work. 3) Shower in disrepair: When I first tried to use the shower, I noticed that the bathtub spout was pulled out from the wall but, more importantly, the water diverter wasn't working properly (couldn't transfer the water flow from the spout to the shower head). I called the desk clerk (Jeffery). While he immediately responded and managed to get it working, after some effort, he told me that I was just doing it wrong when, in fact, I was doing exactly what he was doing (refusing to admit any problem to me).
