It was great. The staff was kind and attentive. Made hot chocolate for my daughter, received drinks and a gift upon checking in, the pool was nice, the gym was clean and we loved our stay.

Way over priced I thought I was getting a luxury hotel, when you get on the elevator you can tell its from the 70-80 and they just painted it. I paid extra for a city view but we were on a lower level so not much of a view at all. Being forced to pay 45 dollars a night for the valet was a nice surprise. The rooftop bar was great though very friendly bartenders.

Check-in valet parking was awful - front desk & valets seemed to be fighting & they had lost tickets to be able to valet our car. Extortionate pricing at $100 for 2 nights parking on top of a $350 / night room. No water in the room very odd & charged $7 for a small bottle. Nice location, but won’t be back.

The staff was awesome, especially at the front desk. Super friendly and easy to talk to. I had an A/C problem the first night, and they moved me immediately without me even asking, and even went up to the new room to make sure the A/C and everything else was acceptable before giving me the key. Breakfast was great, and the bartenders at St Julep were easy to talk to and kept my glass full...what more can you ask for.

Property was fine, but nothing special. The ceiling in my room had peeling paint and there was hair in the shower. No coffee maker in the room and no mini bar offerings. Almost no toiletries provided. There is also no room service after 10pm, so if you arrive from traveling late you are out of luck and have to Uber Eats food - I arrived at 11pm and was out of luck. The property served its purpose, but I wouldn't rush back.

Great location - quiet but close to everything. Staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Valet team was FABULOUS and kept us on time for our events. Room was spotless, nice coffee service in the lobby - and free bikes to ride around the area. I love that it was so warm and comfortable - not cold and corporate like some hotels.

The hotel was in poor condition. Our room had noticeable scuff marks on the walls and bathroom floor, and the carpet at the entrance had large, visible holes. The windows were old and grimy, and the sills were covered in dirt and dust, clearly neglected for some time. The hallway carpet was torn and frayed at the seams, adding to the overall rundown appearance. What made the experience worse was the front desk service in the morning. When I simply asked if I could check out by dropping my keys in the box, I was met with a rude, condescending response. I had interrupted a personal conversation. After answering me curtly, she actually apologized to her conversation partner—as if I was the inconvenience. Also, the evening we stayed I asked for an extra blanket around 930pm, because the duvet is more like a thick sheet, and did not get a response until 730am when we were ready to check out. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially for a Kimpton property. I would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it. There are surely much better hotel options in the Buckhead area.

We had one issue during our stay. The A/C went out the evening of our second day there. I called the front desk and they said they'd send someone over. We waited about an hour and no one came, so I called back down. They said Engineering was working on another room and we were next. They said no problem if we are going out, they will fix it anyway. We did go out around 5:30PM and came back at 11. The air was not fixed. I went down to the front desk and was informed that the air was out fo the entire tier of rooms. They assigned us another room. No problem, things happen all the time out of their control. But, I think it could have been handled better. It would have been nice to get a follow up that the A/C could not be fixed and that we were being moved. It also would have been nice to get some help moving our things. They simply dropped off a luggage cart at the door. Needless to say, packing up your room at 11PM and moving was not ideal. That was our only complaint. The hotel is immaculate and the staff are very nice.

Kimpton Sylvan was a nice & quiet 2 night stay. Guest relations staff was very warm, friendly, & helpful - all of them! I enjoyed the amenities around the hotel esp, the arboretum, pool side, fitness ctr, and all the spaces to sit throughout. The rooms were spacious and clean. Initially, the sink was stopped up in my room, but the staff made quick efforts & fixed it. I will definitely stay again.

The roof bar was just above my room and music was load until 11:30. Air conditioner in room was not cooling properly and I’m a hot sleeper. And then paying so much for valet parking only at hotel with a parking area was frustrating.

Paid extra for 'city' view, but it tured out that we are facing a garage structure. The front desk told us that it used to be a nice city view, but next door started the construction and blocked the view. If that were the case, then they should not charge extra for a view which is no longer there. Another issue is that we were over-charged for parking. I've called their Finance twice and left 2 messages, but it has been a week, no one ever called back.

Rooms were more spacious than expected. The photos made it look smaller. Temperature was easy to adjust. Mini bar was great and had extras that were nice! Had to request an iron and ironing board - slow service maybe due to the wedding party check-in. Overall great property. Was really inexpensive.

The hotel was in poor condition. Our room had noticeable scuff marks on the walls and bathroom floor, and the carpet at the entrance had large, visible holes. The windows were old and grimy, and the sills were covered in dirt and dust, clearly neglected for some time. The hallway carpet was torn and frayed at the seams, adding to the overall rundown appearance. What made the experience worse was the front desk service in the morning. When I simply asked if I could check out by dropping my keys in the box, I was met with a rude, condescending response. I had interrupted a personal conversation. After answering me curtly, she actually apologized to her conversation partner—as if I was the inconvenience. Also, the evening we stayed I asked for an extra blanket around 930pm, because the duvet is more like a thick sheet, and did not get a response until 730am when we were ready to check out. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially for a Kimpton property. I would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it. There are surely much better hotel options in the Buckhead area.

I previously stayed at this hotel for a business trip in December for over a week and had an OK experience. I elected to rebook the hotel as it is conveniently located for work. While in my Uber after landing around 10:45pm I received a phone call that they were having an “issue” and needed to book me elsewhere— they would “text me an address shortly” I was already on my way to the hotel and to receive this message at that time of night is entirely unreasonable and unacceptable. I received a text that I was rebooked at a Marriot. This location was no longer convenient for me walking to work. Additionally, upon arrival, this was not a Marriot hotel nor was it the same quality as the Sylvan. The front desk also let me know that this was due to an overbooking. Again, unreasonable and unacceptable to not give me an option on where I would stay or at minimum provide an upgrade. When I responded to the message they agreed that this hotel was not a comparable hotel and also that this was due to overbooking (thanks for lying to begin with). I also requested to have a call from a more senior hotel manager and have yet to receive that. Horrific customer service and experience after a day of travel. I can’t in good faith recommended anyone book this hotel.

Newer, well done hotel. Good value for the area. I had an issue with the room I was assigned. I got a welcome text from the front desk, told them about my concern and they changed my room and upgraded to a larger.room. Staff member Vee was very responsive - friendly at check in and helpful in the switch.

Check-in valet parking was awful - front desk & valets seemed to be fighting & they had lost tickets to be able to valet our car. Extortionate pricing at $100 for 2 nights parking on top of a $350 / night room. No water in the room very odd & charged $7 for a small bottle. Nice location, but won’t be back.

3 people at the front desk hanging out when we arrived, they allowed a line to build up before saying “oh is anyone helping you?” The room was missing many typical things - no remote, no glasses or wine key, when asked they didn’t provide. Front desk seemed to lack care for guests needs. Bellman handed us a cart but didn’t help and it was covered in pet hair. The Kimpton vibe is usually amazing and this was just bleh. If the staff was more focused on delivering good service to guests, it would be a good spot but I’d recommend another place until they improve. Decor nice, beds comfy, quiet in the evening but the service just ruined it.

Great location - quiet but close to everything. Staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Valet team was FABULOUS and kept us on time for our events. Room was spotless, nice coffee service in the lobby - and free bikes to ride around the area. I love that it was so warm and comfortable - not cold and corporate like some hotels.

Unexpected stay in Atlanta after a flight home got cancelled. Decided to stay in Buckhead for the night. This hotel was a short walk to Buckhead Village where we planned to have dinner. Older property but updated and well maintained. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Did not utilize amenities but seemed decent. Nice garden connected to restaurant.

Very friendly and welcoming staff! Great to have a dog friendly hotel option for our senior pup. Only thing that would have been nice would be some green space for him to go potty. Great location in the middle of Buckhead with shops and restaurants!

This was a great stay overall. Very clean ! Walking distance for a lot of shopping and eating. Both restaurants onsite are very nice. An to cap it all off the front desk staff were all amazing and professional! Definitely staying here again

Convenient location in Buckhead near several shopping and dining establishments. Room layout and furnishings are nice, however we had multiple annoyances during our stay that indicate that service could be improved : no water pressure in shower and bathroom faucet, no additional toilet paper in-room at check in, one lamp wouldn’t turn on, confusing signage to get to the valet parking area. We arrived at 9pm on a stormy Friday night and were told that the restaurant was closed for a private event, that there was no room service, and that the only way we could get food is order directly from the bar upstairs. We went upstairs and it was total mayhem: no room so sit, loud music and overwhelmed staff (again at 9pm). When we went back downstairs to inquire if there was any other way to get food to our room, we were told Uber Eats was our only option. We ordered and waited in the lobby, which was very loud as some alarm kept on ringing on and off. This wasn’t the quiet night in we were looking for. All in all the experience didn’t meet my expectations as a Kimpton brand loyal customer and service was miles away from what we’ve encountered recently at The Shane in Midtown Altanta, a property I would warmly recon over this one.

Decor and furnishing were bland and no view to speak of. The breakfast in the Betty was fine with the exception of the 1 slice of toast for $7!! Dinner was disappointing. Food was served cool and bland. $50/night KochWould definitely stay again.

The staff was very hospitable. Front desk offered us the same rate as the garage to valet, very polite. We got a drink credit as well since we were not able to make the bar. We want to come back to see the rooftop bar St. Julip. The food at The Betty restaurant was good. We had an issue with one server but the manager was very professional and addressed all our concerns. Kimpton is a high quality chain!

I had a medical emergency while I was here. Security staff lied to my spouse about confirming my wellbeing and claimed to have spoken to me when I was actually unconscious. I was fortunate enough to wake up and get myself care. A staff member from another country lectured me on her culture and the appropriateness of her response while I informed her of the inevitability of said medical emergency should someone not intervene and when I asked for the managers information. I have a condition where regulating body temperature is difficult and the air conditioning was broken. They tried to make this up to me with free breakfast where the gratuity was supposed to be included but the staff claimed it was not. Liars and scammers.

The hotel itself was wonderful. The restaurant, the Betty,was a disappointment for breakfast. It proclaimed to have a southern breakfast, but we did not see the evidence of that. It was very pricey, and we did not even receive toast with our omelette or eggs.You had to buy a piece of toast one piece for 4 dollars.

The room was hot. We had the air running cool, but the room temperature never left 75 degrees. The bathroom has no ventilation so it was really hot. The restaurant, The Betty, was very good.
