Hotel del Sol

Excellent experience. I arrived 2 hours early with the hopes of leaving my luggage while I ran a few errands and was accommodated with early check-in. My room was so freshly cleaned that the sink was still damp, so I greatly appreciate the hustle to make it happen. The 3 front desk staff persons who were present during my stay were exceptionally friendly and communicative. The location is in the heart of Centro perfect for wherever you want to go - day or night. I walked to all of my destinations but nearby bus and taxi options were available, too. The one thing that I must point out is that if you have mobility issues, this isn't going to work. You'll have to either walk up a series of steps or a series of fairly steep ramps both to enter the building and to get to the guest rooms. This was a challenge with my 2 very heavy surveyed, and I didn't have mobility chalkenges. When the airport shuttle driver picked me up, he said the building was converted from a hospital, so the floor layout made sense. The only true downside for me was the noise. There's no buffer. I was on the second floor and could clearly hear it when the hotel phone rang downstairs. My bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of blankets in the wardrobe for the cool nights. I'd stay again for 1 or 2 nights.

Great staff and beautiful property. The hallway and other rooms can echo or be loud a but especially with kids. I had dog and kid coughing issue. Room was great had a small amount of natural light the bathtub could use a reglazing. The hotel staff was amazing and helped me address and move room if requested. The patio and balcony have great vibe/ views and will return again!!

The staff there are super friendly. We booked the wrong date, but they tried the best to accommodate us. They could make it better (profitable) if bathrooms are renovated/redone. Anyway, the price reflects the quality, it is friendly to shoestring travellers.
