An outstanding hotel Staff were so friendly and helpful Room was stylish, large, lived the outdoor shower 2 restaurants food was excellent in both and wines very good Breakfast was best in Costa Rica - buffet style - lots of choice and delicious Bar area was fun for a pre dinner cocktail and a fun games room Pool area was lovely and tranquil with a great hot whirl pool for relaxing in after morning activities The free afternoon yogo with Jeremy was fantastic and so nice after a day tubing The trail walks were great for bird spotting and we had a nice swim in the Rio Celeste at the bottom Definetely recommend this hotel

We had a fantastic four night stay here. The rooms are huge but a little rustic. However, the rest was excellent. Great restaurant, awesome food, very friendly and capable staff throughout, nice spa, modern gym, lovely little coffee shop, etc. Some great wildlife around as well. An absolute gem in the middle of a rain forest.

The property is beautifully situated and each room has a covered private deck that feels like you're in the rain forest. It was awesome to sit there and listen to the rain and watch the birds come and go. The property itself and the grounds are beautiful. We used the spa, pool, gym, bars, and restaurant several times and the quality of the experience was always excellent. The staff were all universally welcoming, attentive, and helpful. The only down sides (if you can call them that) are that the pool is heated by the sun and so is always warm (not really refreshing), and the property is located some distance from any towns or other destinations (closest was the Tenorio Volcano State Park, which was a 30-40 minute walk away), so if you don't have a car you will have to arrange for transportation. The hotel was happy to oblige and we used several of their recommended excursions, but that cost can add up if you're there for several days. I would definitely stay at this property again if I have the chance to go back to Guanacaste.

Out time at the Hideaway was absolutely beautiful! Upon our arrival we felt instantly welcomed with a cool face towel and fresh juice. We were then taken to our bungalow by golf cart by the sweetest employee. The grounds and scenery are unbeatable! We had a forest view suite and it is totally worth it! We were able to sit out on our balcony and view tons of wildlife and listen to the chirping of the birds. We also enjoyed all the food and refreshment options with a full service dining area for the complimentary breakfast and the reasonably proced dinner. There was also a swim up bar with food and ddink options as well as a coffee shop. My partner also reay enjoyed the gym and all the nice equipment provided. All around the staff were very kind and helpful going above and beyond. We would recommend this hotel to everyone and will be back when we are in Costa Rica again!

Private individual villa rooms. Large room and love the outdoor shower. Food was awesome, and staff were very attentive, friendly and top service. There is a large balcony, but as for garden view rooms, there is nothing to see there. Thick plants were up to the balcony and nothing to see. Hotel has nice loop hiking trail behind the hotel and trail also takes you to the river, so if you want to swim there, you could. Hotel is conveniently located close to the park and other activities.

Absolutely spectacular hotel. Easy enough to find / get to, the grounds are stunning, it has it's only little trail where you can swim in the river, and it's literally 2 minutes from the Volcan Tenorio national park where the goregous Rio Celeste waterfall is. The pool area is lovely, the staff were very helpful and friendly and it does the best Pina Coladas!!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

The property and the rooms were beautiful. There was a baby sloth sleeping in a tree outside our room, and a monkey by the spa. The staff was helpful & the property well maintained. We loved eating at the swim up bar and the walk to the river was a nice treat.

Très beau établissement, Belle piscine chaude avec trois jacuzzi, belle chambre CASITAS DE GRANDS CONFORT. accueil et services irréprochables: Bar Restaurant, serveur, entretien Toute commodité à pied(sans voiturette) Chemin privé permettant d’accéder à un endroit du Rio Céleste où nous avons pu nous baigner. Dommage que nous avons passé qu’une seule nuit, le préféré de tout mon séjour.

This is a second tome we stayed at the hotel. First time was four years ago and it was quiet boutique hotel, now it's in process of expansion. We love the place and would come back. I included the negative responce about it to inform, not to deter. The highlights: You can walk to the river, it's a short hike, and swim in there, very beautiful spot to take photos. You can see wild life while on property, we saw toucans, sloths, monkeys, red eyed frogs, etc. Liked: Beautiful hotel all around, grounds, rooms, pool, etc. Very attentive service. Everyone is extremely polite and helpful, very sweet. The restaurant prepared good food, we stayed 3 nights and while breakfast had limited variety it was enough to choose from. Had we stayed longer, it whould feel boring. Dinners were very good. They have excelent pool with three jacuzzi and poolside bar, it's warm and comfortable, so that you can spend the whole day in it if you like. Disliked: CONSTRUCTION. The hotel is going through expansion and building more facilities and villas. There is constant banging and havy tools screeching sound. It's heard by the pool, by the restaurant and the rooms. There is no quiet space at all. in addition, the construction is too close to the red eyed frogs habitat, tge small frog pond. I wish they would create another safe pond for frogs, safly relocate them and then build around existing frog pond. It was very sad to see this change from four years ago.

The friendliest staff I have ever met on any vacation! The grounds and rooms were immaculate and every staff member was welcoming, knowledgeable, and personable. The food was delicious, the beds were comfortable, and the property was gorgeous. We can't wait to go back!

Amazing experience. The staff was always super welcoming and nice. The room was beautiful and cleaned daily. The property is only a few minutes from the Rio Celeste Waterfall and the river is right in the backyard of this hotel which makes it super unique. Highly recommend.

THIS PROPERTY WAS BEAUTIFUL AND THE FOOD AND DRINKS WERE AMAZING. DURING BREAKFAST YOU GET TO SEE ALL KINDS OF BIRDS AND ANIMALS. THE VILLA WE WERE IN WAS GORGEOUS, THE BED WAS BEYOND COMFORTABLE AND THE OUTDOOR SHOWER WAS SO RELAXING. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE WHEN I RETURN.

Upon arriving, this hotel literally took our breath away. We were welcomed by name and the host let us know that they had been expecting us. The room felt palacious. The property is beautifully situated and each room has a covered private deck that feels like you're in the rain forest. It was awesome to sit there and listen to the rain and watch the birds come and go. The property itself and the grounds are beautiful. We used the spa, pool, gym, bars, and restaurant several times and the quality of the experience was always excellent. The staff were all universally welcoming, attentive, and helpful. The only down sides (if you can call them that) are that the pool is heated by the sun and so is always warm (not really refreshing), and the property is located some distance from any towns or other destinations (closest was the Tenorio Volcano State Park, which was a 30-40 minute walk away), so if you don't have a car you will have to arrange for transportation. The hotel was happy to oblige and we used several of their recommended excursions, but that cost can add up if you're there for several days. I would definitely stay at this property again if I have the chance to go back to Guanacaste.

The property is absolutely beautiful. The staff is amazing - especially at the restaurant. The rooms are very nice, amazing outdoor shower, our only complaint would be that the bed was not very comfortable. Overall it was a great choice and would definitely recommend it.

Out time at the Hideaway was absolutely beautiful! Upon our arrival we felt instantly welcomed with a cool face towel and fresh juice. We were then taken to our bungalow by golf cart by the sweetest employee. The grounds and scenery are unbeatable! We had a forest view suite and it is totally worth it! We were able to sit out on our balcony and view tons of wildlife and listen to the chirping of the birds. We also enjoyed all the food and refreshment options with a full service dining area for the complimentary breakfast and the reasonably proced dinner. There was also a swim up bar with food and ddink options as well as a coffee shop. My partner also reay enjoyed the gym and all the nice equipment provided. All around the staff were very kind and helpful going above and beyond. We would recommend this hotel to everyone and will be back when we are in Costa Rica again!

Private individual villa rooms. Large room and love the outdoor shower. Food was awesome, and staff were very attentive, friendly and top service. There is a large balcony, but as for garden view rooms, there is nothing to see there. Thick plants were up to the balcony and nothing to see. Hotel has nice loop hiking trail behind the hotel and trail also takes you to the river, so if you want to swim there, you could. Hotel is conveniently located close to the park and other activities.

We had previously stated this property and had a fantastic experience. Unfortunately, during the stay, the same cannot be said. There was continuous construction going on around the entire property, causing noise and disruption during our entire stay. We were placed in one of the first five cabins which is closest to the highway. We had never experienced such highway noise which didn’t allow us to relax or feel in touch with the natural environment as a result of it. Our previous stay was closer to the trail head and felt like a magical experience in the jungle.

Incredible service from all the staff but a special thanks to Mariano who helped us find a better route so we could also make it to La Fortuna to see Volcano Arenal. He was very generous with his time and super informative. We loved the room and the location in the area of Rio Celeste.

This place was beautiful. The rooms are lovely and huge. There's the best staff. Katherine, Josue, Ismael and Jennifer were so wonderful. There's nothing they won't do to make you happy. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The food has many breakfast and dinner selections and lunch can be out by the pool or in the dining room. There are toucans and monkeys and sloth there. The monkeys visited one day at breakfast they kept popping their head down to say hello.

An outstanding hotel Staff were so friendly and helpful Room was stylish, large, lived the outdoor shower 2 restaurants food was excellent in both and wines very good Breakfast was best in Costa Rica - buffet style - lots of choice and delicious Bar area was fun for a pre dinner cocktail and a fun games room Pool area was lovely and tranquil with a great hot whirl pool for relaxing in after morning activities The free afternoon yogo with Jeremy was fantastic and so nice after a day tubing The trail walks were great for bird spotting and we had a nice swim in the Rio Celeste at the bottom Definetely recommend this hotel

The friendliest staff I have ever met on any vacation! The grounds and rooms were immaculate and every staff member was welcoming, knowledgeable, and personable. The food was delicious, the beds were comfortable, and the property was gorgeous. We can't wait to go back!

This is a beautiful high end boutique hotel. The staff was superb, very attentive at every detail. The hotel is right next to the Rio Celeste national park. The facilities mix first class areas like the restaurants and pool with rooms right in the middle of the rainy forest. I really recommend this resort.

This is a second tome we stayed at the hotel. First time was four years ago and it was quiet boutique hotel, now it's in process of expansion. We love the place and would come back. I included the negative responce about it to inform, not to deter. The highlights: You can walk to the river, it's a short hike, and swim in there, very beautiful spot to take photos. You can see wild life while on property, we saw toucans, sloths, monkeys, red eyed frogs, etc. Liked: Beautiful hotel all around, grounds, rooms, pool, etc. Very attentive service. Everyone is extremely polite and helpful, very sweet. The restaurant prepared good food, we stayed 3 nights and while breakfast had limited variety it was enough to choose from. Had we stayed longer, it whould feel boring. Dinners were very good. They have excelent pool with three jacuzzi and poolside bar, it's warm and comfortable, so that you can spend the whole day in it if you like. Disliked: CONSTRUCTION. The hotel is going through expansion and building more facilities and villas. There is constant banging and havy tools screeching sound. It's heard by the pool, by the restaurant and the rooms. There is no quiet space at all. in addition, the construction is too close to the red eyed frogs habitat, tge small frog pond. I wish they would create another safe pond for frogs, safly relocate them and then build around existing frog pond. It was very sad to see this change from four years ago.

Amazing experience. The staff was always super welcoming and nice. The room was beautiful and cleaned daily. The property is only a few minutes from the Rio Celeste Waterfall and the river is right in the backyard of this hotel which makes it super unique. Highly recommend.

Absolutely spectacular hotel. Easy enough to find / get to, the grounds are stunning, it has it's only little trail where you can swim in the river, and it's literally 2 minutes from the Volcan Tenorio national park where the goregous Rio Celeste waterfall is. The pool area is lovely, the staff were very helpful and friendly and it does the best Pina Coladas!!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Excellent all around. The grounds, the food, the service, all fantastic. Plenty to do on site and more nearby (though not walkable). If you’re looking for something amongst the hustle and bustle, this isn’t it. It’s a wonderfully peaceful spot to stay amongst nature. Will definitely consider going back!

Très belle hotel, très bon emplacement pas loin des sodas et parc rìo celeste. Personnel au petit soin et très sensible au confort des enfants. Nous y avons bien mangé. Petit dejeuner très copieux. Super !

Btw, it was our 30th anniversary and from the Koi pond to the fireplace dining; from the pool and poolside bar, we were bathed in comfort and care. Even the Chef and serving team supported my Gluten allergy with delicious meal options. As a whole, we were blown away !!! Our experience with the Hideaway Hotel was beyond our expectations. Simplesmente maravilhoso ! O serviço, a natureza , instalações, o rio celeste em si , tudo muito exclusivo e de muito bom gosto .. só 20 quartos ! todas as noites no jantar música ao vivo , comida deliciosa , café da manhã maravilhoso ! Foram dias incríveis no Rio Celeste …. O Rio è muito lindo e gostoso ! Final da tarde tinha um passeio com um biólogo pra ver os bichos noturnos : rãs, cobras , sapos , etc … O café da manhã era com a visita dos macacos , quatis, esquilos 🐿️ e pássaros ! O bicho preguiça, no alto da árvore, avistavamos todos os dias ! Muito fofo ! Aula de yoga final da tarde ! O hotel fica na Cloud Forest , floresta nublada, quase sempre está chovendo e nublado .. as 2 trilhas até o rio celeste e a piscina aquecida são atividades legais mas o hotel é pra relaxar e contemplar . Considero o serviço e a gentileza de todos funcionários o melhor ponto do hotel! Desde a reserva o serviço foi impecável ! Inesquecível !!!!!! A Khaterine faz a melhor margarita da Costa Rica ., e os outros funcionários sempre nos receberem muito bem com um sorriso no rosto ! Natureza com serviço incrível e muito bom gosto !!!!

Una estancia inolvidable. El lugar esta muy cuidado, lleno de detalles. El personal es muy amables todo el tiempo, la comida es deliciosa. Hicimos un pequeño tour para ver animales y tuvimos la suerte de contar con un guia que nos enseño un oso perezoso llamado Emma, monos aulladores, ranas, coaties, serpientes!!! toda la experiencia del bosque tropical en un solo lugar.

This is a second tome we stayed at the hotel. First time was four years ago and it was quiet boutique hotel, now it's in process of expansion. We love the place and would come back. I included the negative responce about it to inform, not to deter. The highlights: You can walk to the river, it's a short hike, and swim in there, very beautiful spot to take photos. You can see wild life while on property, we saw toucans, sloths, monkeys, red eyed frogs, etc. Liked: Beautiful hotel all around, grounds, rooms, pool, etc. Very attentive service. Everyone is extremely polite and helpful, very sweet. The restaurant prepared good food, we stayed 3 nights and while breakfast had limited variety it was enough to choose from. Had we stayed longer, it whould feel boring. Dinners were very good. They have excelent pool with three jacuzzi and poolside bar, it's warm and comfortable, so that you can spend the whole day in it if you like. Disliked: CONSTRUCTION. The hotel is going through expansion and building more facilities and villas. There is constant banging and havy tools screeching sound. It's heard by the pool, by the restaurant and the rooms. There is no quiet space at all. in addition, the construction is too close to the red eyed frogs habitat, tge small frog pond. I wish they would create another safe pond for frogs, safly relocate them and then build around existing frog pond. It was very sad to see this change from four years ago.

Beautiful property and great staff! Food at the restaurant was amazing as well. If you’re looking for a hotel near rio Celeste this is the place to be. You have your own private springs and the accommodations are stunning. Will be returning!

Très bel hôtel, très bien situé proche du Rio céleste. L’avantage est qu’il possède deux accès (trail) accessible temps de se baigner, ce qui n’est pas le cas lorsque l’on est près de la cascade. Tout le personnel est absolument charmant et serviable. Le petit déjeuner buffet est vraiment incroyable ( spécialités locales)avec un menu où on peut commander des spécialités. Nous avons dîné au restaurant sur place ainsi qu’au restaurant asiatique, les plats étaient très bien servis et très bons. Spéciales pour la chambre, absolument fabuleuse de par sa surface et sa déco typique. Dès que vous entrez l’odeur du bois prend toute sa place et la vue depuis la terrasse sur la verdure est juste « Pura Vida »… Le plus également: la douche extérieure …Excellente étape .

One experience that truly stood out was when my wife accidentally left a garment by the pool. The staff found it and personally brought it to our room. That level of honesty, care, and outstanding customer service says everything about this wonderful hotel. During our stay, we also booked several excursions through the hotel, including a visit to the breathtaking Rio Celeste Waterfall and an exciting white-water rafting adventure. Everything was well organized, and both experiences were unforgettable. We had an amazing time exploring the beautiful surroundings. The property itself is peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect place to relax while enjoying the natural beauty of Costa Rica. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable. I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you to everyone at Hideaway Rio Celeste for making our trip so special. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an unforgettable Costa Rican getaway.

My family and I loved all of it. Is it perfect? No, but it did not have to be? In order to be fair I need to rate the individual aspects and put them in perspective. Hotel Overall the hotel is a 5 star. Its clean, well maintained. exceptional service, beautiful foliage and atmosphere. Location 5 (Rio Celeste Area) Rooms 5 Big, beautiful, clean and outdoor shower my favorite. Pool Area 5. Why? It is super clean. relaxing and Service is always available. Even if your are the only person or family at the pool area they have full service (Food/Drinks) Kantala Restaurant 4.5, Food 5, Star, Price 4.5 only because portions are small. If you have children and are at diner they will accommodate ordering from the lunch menu, just have to ask. What a wonderful accommodation!. Tours booked thru hotel: 5, Why? You pay a little bit more but they provide wonderful door to door service and the extra charge is worth it. Hotel Staff 5: We encountered wonderful staff in all areas, not one single complaint. I would say EXCEPETIONAL! We stayed for 5 nights. We will surely return and stay for longer within the next two years. I was able to relax and my wife and children would love to do it again. We will not chance changing hotel on our return simply because our experience was complete. The hotel's location is wonderful and there are many attractions nearby. Feel free to explore the area. You don't need car but I recommend one if you want to explore freely the surrounding, Simply WONDERFUL!
