Beautiful, quiet, and very comfortable! Caught a large Northern off the dock! Watched sunrises around the fire pit and stars at night! Have been to Lansing before, but this was a perfect trip! Thankyou so much!

Such a wonderful place! From the welcome basket, games, ample towels, dishes, seating, you name it. Cleanliness was great. Location was great.The view was phenomenal, along with the screened in porch, and outside patio. The LP was ready to go in the grill and fireplace. Alexa in the screened in porch came in handy playing cards and bags on the patio. The trains going by a couple times a day were enjoyable for us to watch. Access to the water and dock availability worked perfectly for our weekend pontoon adventures. Highly would recommend the Reel Paradise at Shore Slough! Thank you to the hosts.

There was a large group of us with 2 young kids, and we had a great time! Even though the river was high resulting in us leaving our boat at home, we still made the best of it. We brought a blow up pool and used it for the time being. The screened in porch was our absolute favorite as anywhere along the river is going to be buggy especially at nighttime. So we were able to enjoy the outdoors more and play a few card games around the patio table. Plus, the view is so beautiful and perfect spot to drink your morning coffee. Would most definitely stay again!!

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Reel Paradise. The views were spectacular, fishing was good, and the home was well kept and comfortable. The hosts are wonderfully friendly as well, and there were lots of personal touches that made it feel nicer than a hotel or bare bones rental. Having a dock available was a huge benefit for our fishing trip. We had plenty of room for 7 people (three kids), and there was a lot of space to hang out both inside and outside. Instructions were clear for check in, check out, property usage, etc. I gave 4 stars for listing accuracy, because the driveway was very steep and awkward to get into and the ramp down to the dock was very steep also. We were able to adjust, but it was kind of a surprise when we got there. These things are understandable based on the lay of the land, we just weren't super prepared for it because we weren't all that familiar with the area.

Great place on the river, just off the channel. Parked the boat at the dock for the week right in front of the house. Gas available on the river, less than 1/2 mile away. The house was wonderful, use of the garage was also nice. Really enjoyed our stay!

Weekend away to ice fish and the guys could do so right off the dock and in that area. House was very nice, clean and we would definitely like to go back. Good communication with host. House had all the necessities. Definitely will recommend to family and friends.

The cabin was clean, the scenery was beautiful, the entire stay was great! Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at your place. It was so clean, kid friendly, and plenty to do. We enjoy coming out this way every year for the fall atmosphere and will be back!

Very nice fully renovated. Everything was new inside and out. Nice location on the river, roughly a mile from downtown Lansing. Yes, the tracks are close, but I believe we only incurred a couple of trains the two evenings we stayed. We were away from the site during the days visiting family. Good soundproofing so train noise was minimal IMO. We planned for 8, but only had 6 in our family able to attend. 3 bdrms with queens, one bdrm had an additional day bed, and there was a roll-away style twin bed that we could have used in the common area. The description stated common area sleep sofa/futon. (That was the roll-away twin). We'd definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Reel Paradise! We surprised our mom for her birthday with a stay at this beautiful home. We woke up to beautiful sunrises and a great view of the Mississippi River. Would definitely recommend a getaway at this property.

Positives-Host is very responsive. Setting is breathtaking for watching eagles and watercraft. House, furniture and appliances are new and high quality. Negatives-train tracks are very near and 100-car trains come through 5-6 times a day and night, disrupting sleep. Main queen bed squeaks and seems like box spring/headboard and frame need replacing. Furnace is loud and pulls air from bedroom making the north bedroom next to bathroom unusable.

Lovely place to stay right on the river with wonderful amenities. Kitchen was well stocked, and all the communication with the owners was great. We could hear the trains but weren’t overly disturbed by them. We’ll definitely consider booking again for a future trip to Lansing!

We truly enjoyed this property. The views are spectacular. The property is clean and very comfortable. The hosts really want their renters to have the best time. They have many things to use at the property and were more than willing to give us ideas on places to go see and things to do. The one disappointment was that the fire pit didn't work. The trains are not too much of a bother. I would stay here again!

This was a great house in a great location. The view of the river was great, and the short drive to Lansing's shops was helpful. John and Jane were great hosts. They were very responsive to requests and proactive in making sure we were taken care of as guests. We would stay here again.

Very nice fully renovated. Everything was new inside and out. Nice location on the river, roughly a mile from downtown Lansing. Yes, the tracks are close, but I believe we only incurred a couple of trains the two evenings we stayed. We were away from the site during the days visiting family. Good soundproofing so train noise was minimal IMO. We planned for 8, but only had 6 in our family able to attend. 3 bdrms with queens, one bdrm had an additional day bed, and there was a roll-away style twin bed that we could have used in the common area. The description stated common area sleep sofa/futon. (That was the roll-away twin). We'd definitely stay here again.

Such a wonderful place! From the welcome basket, games, ample towels, dishes, seating, you name it. Cleanliness was great. Location was great.The view was phenomenal, along with the screened in porch, and outside patio. The LP was ready to go in the grill and fireplace. Alexa in the screened in porch came in handy playing cards and bags on the patio. The trains going by a couple times a day were enjoyable for us to watch. Access to the water and dock availability worked perfectly for our weekend pontoon adventures. Highly would recommend the Reel Paradise at Shore Slough! Thank you to the hosts.

Just wanted a place to unwind for a few days. This place really offered that with a great view. The town its self was really nice and had some great places to eat. You don’t have to have a boat to enjoy this place! We will back for sure and look forward to it.

Wonderful property, beautifully equipped and extremely clean. The location was beautiful in terms of the views, but there were too few local restaurants nearby.

Great place on the river, just off the channel. Parked the boat at the dock for the week right in front of the house. Gas available on the river, less than 1/2 mile away. The house was wonderful, use of the garage was also nice. Really enjoyed our stay!

This was a great house in a great location. The view of the river was great, and the short drive to Lansing's shops was helpful. John and Jane were great hosts. They were very responsive to requests and proactive in making sure we were taken care of as guests. We would stay here again.

Lovely place to stay right on the river with wonderful amenities. Kitchen was well stocked, and all the communication with the owners was great. We could hear the trains but weren’t overly disturbed by them. We’ll definitely consider booking again for a future trip to Lansing!

This property was great for our needs. The screened in porch was a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful weater and breeze without being in the direct sun. The trains were a joy to watch pass by and were not loud or obnoxious at all. The owners were friendly and allowed us to use their bigger fishing pole and some live bait. We had all we needed in terms of dishes, cooking utensils and pans. It was very sweet of them to leave a bottle of wine for us to enjoy as well. We would definitely recommend this place.

This is a beautiful, well-kept home right on the river. Having a screen porch to relax in and enjoy cooler evenings was wonderful. Loved having a dock to pull the boat up to.

This was a perfect place for our low-key weekend. I especially appreciate the small things that make it welcoming and easy - the towels, dish soap, shampoo and soaps in the bathrooms, etc. Those are always a pain to pack and always a toss up if they are included. The hosts were very responsive to helping us with the fire pit. The hammocks were amazing- the house was roomy and comfy. We will be back!

nice property overall. Ability to clean fish was very nice. Property has stairs which was mentioned clearly and not a big deal for our group but may be for others. Convenient to bait shop, overall very good.
