Casa Vida Luxury Villa in Tulúm

We had a large group and chose Casa Vida for the bedrooms, large living room & rooftop area. All the rooms were as described and the pictures were accurate. It’s a really nice place. A/C worked well and hosts were very attentive to all our needs. We had several places to eat quality food within a 5 minute walk, including a market. There’s also a grocery store not too far away. I’d recommend staying here if you’re looking at places around this area.

The house looks awesome and has potential. Thats where the good parts end. The amenities are so fake and the house is full of issues. We have never stayed in this horrible a property before. To call it luxury is a complete scam. Don’t fall for it. The following were the concerns we have with the property: 1. The day after we checked in we did not have any water in the morning . No taps no flush . We had to actually go out to public spaces to use restrooms . This happened again after 2 days in the night. 2. No Internet connection. We have had barely any internet connection. The vrbo listing states 500+ mbps, we have at best been able to get 5 MBPS that to after constantly pushing the property manager to do so. 3. There are termites in the outdoor bedrooms and we saw at least a couple of cockroaches in the house. 4. There is no washer dryer, the dishwasher is broken. Not all stoves work. There is no microwave oven, no second swimming pool as advertised . You have to spend a majority of your time trying to get issues resolved with the property manager. I raised an official complaint through VRBO and have contacted the host about this and seeking a refund. They are so negligent that they will not even respond for it at this point. It’s a complete scam and don’t waste your money . There are so many better properties in Tulum.

Casa Vida is a beautiful villa in the amazing Aldea Zama neighborhood of Tulum. We really loved the neighborhood. We felt safe the entire time while walking around exploring local spots. Carlos was fantastic to work with leading up to and throughout our stay. He helped us with anything we needed! The rooftop pool was such an amazing spot to hang out as a group. We enjoyed how spacious the kitchen and living room areas were. The bedrooms were large with fantastic bathrooms. Everything was great during our stay and I would highly recommend Casa Vida!

I celebrated my bachlorette in Tulum.. only half of us stayed an extra day to relax & let me tell you ….. this villa was amaaaaazzing!!! The photos doesn’t do any justice. Since I was coming from a different villa, I wanted to check in earlier & the host was lovely & flexible enough to accomadate all our needs. Only thing I will say, some of the kitchen appliances didn’t work, they didn’t have any paper towels. Fortunately there was a market close by where we could walk for any of our needs. We had an amazing shuttle driver, JORGE! He’s was such a great time & very efficient. Overall, I would definitely come back to this villa in the future!
