Private Dock & Boat House: Lakefront Mabank Home

So much fun! The house was perfect for our family vacation. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. We sat on the back porch and enjoyed the beautiful view. The kids had a great time fishing. I highly recommend and we hope we can stay there again.

I rented this lake house through VRBO for New Year’s Eve, planning to check in on December 30th. I received a confirmation that my booking was good to go. However, on the day of check-in, I received an email around 2:30 PM stating that my booking had been canceled. When I called VRBO, they directed me to contact Evolve—a company I hadn’t heard of before.When I called Evolve, they informed me that my booking was canceled because they hadn’t received payment, even though the full amount had already been withdrawn from my bank account. They rebooked my reservation that same day, but I had to wait several hours for them to process the payment. By the time everything was settled, it was almost 3:30 PM, with check-in scheduled for 4 PM.I thought everything was resolved when I received my booking confirmation, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. When I arrived at the property, I discovered that the owners weren’t even aware we were coming. The propertymanager, explained that she had initially received the first booking confirmation and was preparing the property for us, but when Evolve canceled the reservation, she understandably went back home.The manager was incredibly kind and allowed us to stay, despite the fact that she wasn’t able to prepare the property due to the last-minute notice from Evolve. It was great, we had a wonderful time. I think you should disclose the slide could not be used, it was the biggest reason we choose that place. Hopefully it is disclosed and I just missed it?
