Lakefront Family Home w/ Boat Dock + Slip in Texas

This house was PERFECT for our 51st wedding anniversary Get-away! Located in a very quiet, well-kept, upscale neighborhood on the lake, with driveway parking, neatly kept landscaping, it seems like a newly built house. The back patio w grill was perfect for outdoor breakfast or reading! Loved that there were 2 kayaks (including paddles and life vests) available for our use!! Pontoon boat in 1 of 2 boat slips can be rented. Due to low lake levels right now, we couldn't launch kayaks onto our water inlet behind the house, but would be great place if you have your own boat! Keyless entry very convenient. Inside smelled so fresh and inviting - extremely clean! Online Indoor pictures are exactly as we found it: nice sized rooms, nicely appointed bath fixtures and supplies in the 1 and 1/2 bathrooms, upscale bedding and linens, great kids' room w toys, comfortable couches and seating, great tv's and wifi connection!! My food issues require a kitchen for storing/prep'ing my foods- this kitchen was great!! New appliances, granite countertops, very adequate dishes, new cooking pans, even a few 'commonly used' unopened items in the frig for our use. Stored but available for use: an air fryer, a blender, useful knives, kitchen basics like salt/pepper/olive oil, coffee pods, etc. Excellent and immediate response when we had some questions about Roku, etc. We've stayed at BnB's and other VRBO's but this was the best experience yet!! We'd definitely rent this place again!

Beautiful location, great family house, lots to do in the area

We were there four nights from June 19-23. The house is new, clean, modern. The area is a residential area, safe, and somewhat secluded. We walked every morning - some very nice homes in the area. The facility is fully supplied, as expected. Full size kitchen. The home is on the water, a canal, and lots of water "toys" are available. Different things are important to different people - three things important to us stood out -- really nice shower -- really good A/C --- and, very important ----- DARK bedroom!We tried The Whistlestop in Trinidad - a short drive - and it was excellent!

Great house for a getaway; check in / check out was a breeze, communication was speedy and easy. Would definitely recommend!
