We had a lovely time, beautiful cabin, comfy bed, amazing scenery! We had a bonfire down by the river and one by the cabin, lots of birds, we were able to fill feeder with seed provided and it was gone by the time we left! We definitely will be back! Thanks Jolene!!

What a stunning cabin with a perfect location. Ideal for a couple with small kids, or a couple wanting a hideaway. So beautifully arranged and very comfortable with so many options for seating, inside and out. You can sit down by the creek, out the side by the fire pit, out the back on the grass, inside on the back porch, by the fireplace in the main living space... Easy to find, perfectly hosted, 15 minutes from the city of Eau Claire, but feels like in the middle of nowhere, make this place your next hideaway.

Nice getaway. Actually caught a trout in the creek next to the property and cooked it on the tripod grill. Homeowner recommended the creek downside of the dam for fishing (4 minutes away). Caught several more there but were not "keepers" Was my first time and tried the supplied kayak. At 60 years old it will be my last (more humorous than anything getting in and out). Friends and I had a great time.

The cabin reatoration was so well done. Authentic but modern enough (e.g., turntable with a selection of vinyl), comfortable with great lighting options, a great firepit and lots of wood, and a beautiful setting on the creek. Used the charcaol grill for some steaks, and indoors the kitchen was well appointed. Peaceful get away from work and the city.

We had a wonderful experience at Lil'Kickback! Our stay at this delightful cabin on Elk Creek was in the end of October, 2025 and part of our 40th anniversary celebration. Travelling along the Great River Road from southern Wisconsin, Eau Claire was to be a layover spot as we had planned to take a day trip to the northern tip of the state and visit some waterfalls. Jolene is a superb host! Her communication with us was wonderful. While we were in route, she reached out to check on our arrival time and sent me additional directions to the cabin. We arrived at dusk and immediately felt so welcome. Lights were on in the cabin and there was a fire burning in the gas fireplace in the living room. It was at that time, we decided to change our plans. Rather than spend our first day travelling, we opted to remain at the cabin and enjoy everything it had to offer. First this place is adorable! So cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated! The cabin is located on a creek that winds through the property. Very private and quiet. The outdoor firepit was so nice. Its a great place to enjoy the evening. Plenty of firewood and firestarters were provided! The cabin was immaculate, and it had a fully stocked kitchen. In addition gas and charcoal grills are provided. I highly recommend Lil' Kickback On Elk Creek and are looking forward to visiting again!

We had a great stay here! The place had everything we needed. Clean and nicely decorated just as the pictures show - nothing out of place when you arrive. It's also a very private property and good for hanging out by the fire. Communication w/ the host was excellent. You won't regret booking this property!

We felt like we were in a Hallmark movie because this cabin is right out of the perfect cozy scene we all imagine. It was below zero outside but warm and toasty inside with both the gas and wood fire place going. Background music, game playing while delicious meals are prepared and served on the porch overlooking the river. Comfort plus beds and couches with perfect ambiance added to the gentle snow falling outside. Could not have asked for better family memories enhanced by every need met from attentive mangers. A definite rejuvenating escape that is very easy to get to from all directions. We look forward with great anticipation to return to experience every season.

The cabin and property we amazing! Cabin was furnished with everything we needed for a long weekend with our two kids. They loved the loft and being able to walk down the path to fish in the creek. Would definitely stay here again!

Lil’ Kickback is such a sweet cozy place to stay. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with supplies. The view, wood burning stove plus the fireplace made our stay in the middle of January such a warm inviting stay. Jolene was a great host! Always responding quickly and willing to be accommodating. Plus the little “hunting” game made it fun too. Highly recommend a stay here! Hopefully we will be coming back for another stay

My wife and I were looking for a quiet, cozy place to get away for a couple days. This cabin is SO nice, and has a beautiful story behind it, left in book form by the owners. It’s private, comfortable, clean and close enough to town if you want a day away for sightseeing or a nice meal out. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Nice cabin. Nice yard. Steep to get down to water. No fish. Inside cabin tidy but could use a good décor cleaning. Food storage on top of garage bin unsanitary. Condiments and spices old and outdated. Broken can opener. Air conditioning in bathroom and bedroom can’t cool entire cabin. No contact from renter when we left to check in on our stay and felt not hospitable. Definitely no special touches like fresh flowers or a couple beers on counter with a welcome note . It was ok. Not bad just ok.

Gorgeous area and beautiful cabin. It was a hot weekend, but the AC kept the cabin cool. We spent an entire day sitting outside watching the river flow by, and we saw so many beautiful birds while we were there.

Our family was super impressed and absolutely loved it. It is so quaint, relaxing, gorgeous outside views no matter what direction you look. The pictures online cannot mimic the actual beauty of this log cabin. Want to come back for each season. Don’t debate it., do it. You will not be disappointed!!!!

This cabin was perfect. All the updates and furnishings were amazing! The cabin felt very cozy and the living spaces also felt open & spacious. The property was beautiful with the stream and mature trees. We visited Eau Claire, hiked at a nearby nature conservancy along the Chippewa River and relaxed at the cabin (we did not want to leave). We hope to return soon! This is really a special place!

This was an incredible property and charming cottage and exceeds the description listed. The host was very thorough in providing details and answering questions. Look forward to future visit.

We had a wonderful experience at Lil'Kickback! Our stay at this delightful cabin on Elk Creek was in the end of October, 2025 and part of our 40th anniversary celebration. Travelling along the Great River Road from southern Wisconsin, Eau Claire was to be a layover spot as we had planned to take a day trip to the northern tip of the state and visit some waterfalls. Jolene is a superb host! Her communication with us was wonderful. While we were in route, she reached out to check on our arrival time and sent me additional directions to the cabin. We arrived at dusk and immediately felt so welcome. Lights were on in the cabin and there was a fire burning in the gas fireplace in the living room. It was at that time, we decided to change our plans. Rather than spend our first day travelling, we opted to remain at the cabin and enjoy everything it had to offer. First this place is adorable! So cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated! The cabin is located on a creek that winds through the property. Very private and quiet. The outdoor firepit was so nice. Its a great place to enjoy the evening. Plenty of firewood and firestarters were provided! The cabin was immaculate, and it had a fully stocked kitchen. In addition gas and charcoal grills are provided. I highly recommend Lil' Kickback On Elk Creek and are looking forward to visiting again!

We had a great stay here! The place had everything we needed. Clean and nicely decorated just as the pictures show - nothing out of place when you arrive. It's also a very private property and good for hanging out by the fire. Communication w/ the host was excellent. You won't regret booking this property!

Jolene was very communicative and welcoming for our little group of 4, which was visiting for a conference in Eau Claire. The cabin was very clean and had a warm vibe to it—it’s location on the water was an especially nice and peaceful touch.

This place is just as it appears, and so much more! A perfect place to relax and unwind for us. Very quiet and peaceful. The cabin was so homey and had everything we needed. Jolene was easy to connect with and had the cabin already for us when we got there. I would gladly recommend Lil Kickback!

Lil’ Kickback is such a sweet cozy place to stay. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with supplies. The view, wood burning stove plus the fireplace made our stay in the middle of January such a warm inviting stay. Jolene was a great host! Always responding quickly and willing to be accommodating. Plus the little “hunting” game made it fun too. Highly recommend a stay here! Hopefully we will be coming back for another stay

What a stunning cabin with a perfect location. Ideal for a couple with small kids, or a couple wanting a hideaway. So beautifully arranged and very comfortable with so many options for seating, inside and out. You can sit down by the creek, out the side by the fire pit, out the back on the grass, inside on the back porch, by the fireplace in the main living space... Easy to find, perfectly hosted, 15 minutes from the city of Eau Claire, but feels like in the middle of nowhere, make this place your next hideaway.

Gorgeous area and beautiful cabin. It was a hot weekend, but the AC kept the cabin cool. We spent an entire day sitting outside watching the river flow by, and we saw so many beautiful birds while we were there.

The cabin reatoration was so well done. Authentic but modern enough (e.g., turntable with a selection of vinyl), comfortable with great lighting options, a great firepit and lots of wood, and a beautiful setting on the creek. Used the charcaol grill for some steaks, and indoors the kitchen was well appointed. Peaceful get away from work and the city.

My wife and I were looking for a quiet, cozy place to get away for a couple days. This cabin is SO nice, and has a beautiful story behind it, left in book form by the owners. It’s private, comfortable, clean and close enough to town if you want a day away for sightseeing or a nice meal out. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Absolutely perfect stay. Clean, well stocked, great location, and as nice of a hose as you can ask for. Beautiful cabin, great views of the stream. Only sad thing was having to leave.

This cabin was perfect. All the updates and furnishings were amazing! The cabin felt very cozy and the living spaces also felt open & spacious. The property was beautiful with the stream and mature trees. We visited Eau Claire, hiked at a nearby nature conservancy along the Chippewa River and relaxed at the cabin (we did not want to leave). We hope to return soon! This is really a special place!

We had the most lovely stay at the Lil’ Kickback! The space was absolutely beautiful and so cozy. There were many activities to do, suited for all ages. The cabin was well positioned to downtown EC, making for easy journeys into town. We would definitely stay again!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our weekend!, Cabin was so clean, cute, cozy and well stocked. We loved sitting by the creek, listening to the birds and just relaxing. Had bonfires each night. Checked out the local dive bar but otherwise stayed on the property just relaxing and soaking up the peacefulness. Would definitely come back, maybe in the winter so we could use the wood stove.

What a great getaway! Loved how they had a photo album of the renovation. They thought of everything to make it comfortable and very homey! Sun porch was our favorite spot.

Our stay was wonderful. The cabin was just as described and even cozier in person.We loved the turn table and the old albums! All the ambiance lighting was perfect.Sitting on the garden chairs overlooking the stream was so relaxing and lulled us into a wonderful state of mind amongst the natural surroundings.We hope to return for another peaceful long weekend!!
