Dockside Daze-Prime Waterfront Loc w/ Amazing View, Firepit, Tiki Bar, Lrg Dock

Our stay at the lake house was absolutely fabulous! The location is stunning and convenient, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. The amenities were top-notch, and we particularly enjoyed the dock and the tiki bar, which provided endless fun and relaxation. We made great use of all the features the house had to offer, including the kayaks, paddle boat, and floats, which added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. The house itself is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We can't say enough about how great this lake house is – it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect getaway (except the week we want ;) )! The owners were awesome to work with and checked in to make sure are stay was a great one!

House was spotless and ready for us upon arrival. Communication was great through out the stay. Property is your own private playground. Plenty of covered areas to relax and get out of the sun or rain.

Dockside Daze was amazing! The owners really went all out with the technology. Charging stations everywhere, TVs in each room. Even the porch and dock have a TV. The sound system at the dock was a great touch. We really enjoyed having music down there. The neighbors are super friendly and my kids made a new friend. You can't beat the location to all the Smith Mountain Lake attractions. 10 out of 10!

This property is top notch. The owners provided everything. This truly was an excellent place to be lazy and enjoy the dock and views. Upon arrival it was evident the owners put a lot of attention to detail the house outside and inside was so clean and decorated beautifully. The dock was perfect for our boat and they offered an array of kayaks paddle boats and other water floats ( we used those every day). Absolutely the best experience … so good we booked same week next year!

This was our second stay at Dockside Daze, and once again, it was a fantastic week! The house is beautiful and filled with thoughtful amenities that make it feel like home. The yard is spacious—perfect for lawn games and relaxing outdoors. We especially loved the dock and tiki bar area, which is beautifully set up and offers a perfect spot to take in the stunning sunsets each evening. The location is great too—close to plenty of stores, restaurants, and everything you might need.

My family enjoyed our stay! The backyard, deck and dock area is fantastic. The tiki bar is a nice addition. We enjoyed the stand up paddle board, kayaks and paddle boat. We rented a boat and were able to tie up to the floating dock with no problem. I am sure during the summer months it is even more fun to spend hours outdoors there with the provided steps directly to the lake. The house was clean and well maintained. The owners were extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. Thanks again for your hospitality!

The property is very nice, well maintained and set up nice for guest. Very nice location, perfect boat docking setup and well maintain docks. I took a 24' bay boat, dock was perfect for a boat that size. Of the few houses I have rented at Smith Mountain Lake for a few days fishing at other houses in the past, Dockside Daze will now be my go-to for Smith Mountain Lake trips.

The way the owners have the property setup is fantastic. Big TVs, grill, fire ring, bar on dock with TV, etc. Whether you want to lounge in the shade, go out on the lake, or watch the big game it’s setup great. Quality bumpers and cleats on dock to protect your boat. Nice house. Comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. We’ve been coming to SML for 20 years and this is the best house we have stayed in.

Perfect lake house! Very clean and comfortable. Has everything you need for a week at the lake. The yard is amazing and such a beautiful dock! The water toys were such a treat and kept us all busy on the water. Really a nice cove for swimming and kayaking. So close to grocery stores and to boat rentals! Really a perfect location! This incredibly well stocked, well thought out, well appointed, gorgeous gem of a home was perfect for our small family Thanksgiving. Any kitchen item you might need - there are several to choose from, including the host bringing over a turkey roasting pan so I didn’t have to bring mine. The beds, super comfy with lovely linens included. The property very well taken care off with so many amenities! Could not recommend more/a real treasure in a picture perfect location.

Of the few houses I have rented at Smith Mountain Lake for a few days fishing at other houses in the past, Dockside Daze will now be my go-to for Smith Mountain Lake trips.

We are repeat SML visitors and love the area. Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us. Beds were more than comfortable, kitchen well stocked and my husband loved the reclining leather sofas. Views, views, views, Heather and Ken have more than maximize the outdoor space. Pet friendly as well. We will definitely rent again.

This owner is generous with water toys, yard toys, cozy fireplace and blankets. Plush bedding. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Whole family is in love with this rental on Smith Mountain Lake.

We have stayed at different houses the last few years and this one is probably our favorite! The house was very clean and the check in off was was easy. The pictures and description are accurate. The house was perfect for us with three bedrooms two full bathrooms and a large couch for a person to sleep on. We had 7 people and 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for us. The back deck with the two tables were perfect for morning coffee and dinner with a great view of the lake. The dock has plenty of chairs and floats we didn’t have to bring any. The tiki bar was so cool! And the fridge down there was perfect for drinks . We cooked every night and the kitchen had everything we needed. Wi-Fi was fast and didn’t lag. The Moneta food lion is a short drive away or you can go to the other side and go to Kroger. The owners were available via phone or text for any issues! Overall an amazing property! Can’t wait to book next years vacation :)

This place is amazing! Everything is provided (and I mean everything). We loved our weekend here. Very relaxing and extremely comfortable. The view is wonderful - peaceful. The hosts are on top of everything and easily accessible if needed. I highly recommend this property.

The family agreed this was our best summer vacation ever out ranking Myrtle abd OBX. The house is just amazing- ample space inside and out, cozy beds, stocked kitchen, great TVs, grills, firepit, close to shops & grocery stores. But that view, the water toys, the tiki bar, the cove…heaven! Cannot thank Heather & Ken enough for their gracious hospitality and entrusting us with their home! We are already planning for 2025!

We came to Dockside Daze as 2 Mothers & 2 Daughters for a week of fun, laughs, & making memories. It did Not disappoint! The house and property are immaculate and close to everything such as grocery stores, shopping, dining, vineyards, ect. The house also has everything you could possibly need to cook meals (fully stocked of cookware, dishes, seasonings, convenient condiments, multiple grills, and so on). The beds were extremely comfortable for great nights of sleep as well as a very quiet neighborhood. It is such a tranquil and peaceful place. The weather was not as good as expected for being on the water but the owners of Dockside Daze went out of their way to give Us the Best experience we could have imagined. Heather & Ken are wonderful and gracious hosts. They offered to take Us out on their boat to have a nice evening tour of the lake. They told stories and showed Us many things we would not have had the chance to do. We cannot Thank them enough! It was such a pleasure to meet and get to know them and they truly made our trip memorable! They also gave Us ideas of things to do on the chilly days as well as great restaurant options. Napoli on the Lake was our favorite. Fabulous food! We travel to meet at a lake every year (as we all live in different states) and we will definitely be coming back to Dockside Daze next year to enjoy Smith Mountain Lake again. It's a beautiful area with friendly people & I cannot say enough great things about the Owners & property! TY

We rented Dock Daze for a long weekend when our daughter graduated from Virginia Tech. Dock Daze is depicted perfectly in the description and the pictures. The owner was attentive, kind, knowledgeable of the area, gave exceptional recommendations on where to eat, and very generous of her home. The home and area was spotless and had lots of thoughtful touches for guests. It was also fully equipped with lots of extra perks. The dock and outside area.... well it was extraordinary! Fun, relaxing, great entertaining spot, and located on the perfect part of the lake! Dock Daze's location is in the heart of everything, which makes it easy to access anything from renting a boat to going to the grocery store - you name it, it's within 10 minutes. With that being said.....the house is located on a private road in a cozy cove offering the best of both worlds - privacy and easy access to all that Smith Mountain Lake has to offer. I look forward to another visit at Dock Daze and thank the owners for sharing their slice of Heaven on the lake! Side note: We attended two graduation events at VT (about 1 hr 20 mins) on the Friday we were there. We drove back to Dock Daze in between the ceremonies with no trouble.

Lovely home, great for families. We especially enjoyed the close proximity to Bridgwater Marina (restaurants, mini golf, shops and arcade) as well as the state park. We visited during the off season and still had plenty to do. We also enjoyed hanging out and fishing off the dock. This house has all the outdoor amenities you could want.

We had terrible weather the first two days of our stay, but the house was very cozy and there were plenty of throw blankets for us to snuggle up. The games and puzzles were great! We enjoyed all the TV's and cable access (to watch Penn State win the Big 10 wrestling title). Once the weather improved, we enjoyed the large backyard and the beautiful deck and tiki bar. You can't beat the location. It was our first time at SML and we were glad we were very close to most of the restaurants on the lake.
