Waterfront in downtown Chéticamp

The shack was the perfect place for us to explore Cape Breton. It was well equipped, clean and comfortable - one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! The ocean view in the bedroom was beautiful and being able to sit out on the deck each morning and after a day exploring was heaven. Cheticamp was a great base with shops and places to eat. Highly recommend Last Chance Sandwich to pick up lunch for a hike, the Doryman for some live music and the Acadian Hike. Fully recommend staying here!

Nice place on the water and well stocked.

This was a great place. I highly recommend it. In fact, it surpassed my expectations and was by far the best of the seven places we stayed on this trip. We met the host and he was great. He had just installed a brand new barbecue. The place was so well stocked and it was like a home away from home. Although we did not need it, there was even a child’s bumper seat. The bed was comfortable and surprisingly quiet at night as one side is on the street side. The other side is on the water and we could sit out on Adirondack chairs and just enjoy the ducks. I cannot say enough for this property. It is an A Plus

great host very responsive and helpful

Exceptional in every way. The space is clean, the accommodations are SO comfortable, and everything you could need for your stay was inside. We were blown away by how prepared the space was! Will be thinking about this place for the rest of my life probably.
