Converted stable and the perfect romantic getaway - Orchard Cottage, Didmarton

This is a superb location and wonderful accommodation with excellent facilities, especially the kitchen. We have visited several times and love to stay there. Just a couple of very minor things we noticed this time. They didn't detract from our enjoyment but perhaps they could be fixed. The water flow from the hot tap in the bathroom sink is very poor. The TV remote was not working (we tried new batteries) and this was quite inconvenient as we would have liked to watch something in the evening. A bulb on one of the bedside lights needs replacing ( there wasn't a spare to replace it)..

Booked very last minute and very glad we did. Perfect little home away from home. Lovely and clean, light and airy and very comfortable bed. High quality furnishings throughout, although it would be good if the fold down table could be folded up! to give a bit more space. Everything else you could need for a short break and we hope to be back.

The cottage was very good for our few days getaway, in a lovely location and the neighbours were very friendly and helpful when looking for somewhere to eat. It has a spacious lounge and bedroom, excellent bathroom. the kitchen was very good but a we bit small. This would be a lovely cottage with a bit more attention to detail. The entrance door is draughty and the lock unpredictable, The edge was taken off the stay by the uncomfortable sofa and the unstable chairs. It would have been nice to have sat outside for a drink but the garden furniture was old and dirty.

Orchard Cottage is a beautifully presented, modern, spacious stable conversion on the edge of the Cotswolds, set in the grounds of a small cluster of houses at one end of the village. The property has super convenient parking immediately outside, a comfortable living room, fully equipped kitchen and very large bedroom with adjoining bathroom. On our visit, the property was immaculately presented and spotlessly clean throughout. Although we didn't do any cooking on site, the kitchen is extremely well stocked, and the large fridge with ice box was appreciated. The location is extremely quite, and accessing the property was extremely easy. The property is extremely good value and I'd highly recommend it to anyone (single or couple) looking for a quiet, secluded spot for a memorable getaway.
