This apartment is overall fine. There are definitely some items that need to be fixed (dripping bathroom sink, bath faucet is tricky to get to fully turn off, inadequate lighting in the bedrooms), but it was clean and sufficient for a one night stay with our dog. The location is great, and the parking spot is a big plus.We saw some very negative, concerning reviews from July 2025 after we booked but after our cancellation window that made us quite concerned. It appears that the owners addressed these issues after these reviews, as we did not see mold on the floor or have ceiling leaks in the bathroom, and the apartment smelled fine. Communication and check in process is not good. I got automated reminders for the stay but no actual link to the website that has the check in information (which is separate from VRBO), and ended up having to contact VRBO customer support the day we were going to arrive to get check in information - this made for a stressful day.Overall, we had a pleasant stay once we checked in, but I would not highly recommend.

The location of this rental is great for getting out on the town. You’re right in the mix, close to shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is walkable and safely lit. My only wish is that there were a few fixes to broken features - the patio has a broken rail that poses a potential safety hazard, and the Beth room faucet was broken and obviously glued back together, which broke again quickly upon use.

The location was wonderful and unit was looked clean. We enjoyed the little balcony. The unit did had a strange faint smell between cat urine and cooking. My son is allergic to cats and his eyes watered and became swollen over night. Another issue ( the first I have ever had using VRBO) The host was not responsive to my emails or phone call, I have to admit the issue ended up being mine, as I expected a message giving me info to enter the unit. There was a link in an earlier text and email that I had missed providing the info. However, the host could have told me that the first time I messaged him 3 days before our arrival. I messaged him again 1 day out and nothing- I had a sleepless night worrying that we didn’t have a place when we arrived the following day. Still nothing hours before our stay, I even phoned. No answer. Finally a got a message that the link was in an earlier text. Luckily I had not deleted it.

Maybe because we arrived when it was dark that we had difficulty finding the parking lot and enterance to the building. Signs were not visible or apparent. The guests upstairs were parked halfway into our designated spot. And often smoking on the patio that we could smell in our unit.

As advertised. Clean and comfortable. Accessibility to the Plaza and Westport is excellent. Parking good. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is shower needs upgrade and the lock between parking lot and patio needs repair. Otherwise we recommend this property...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Westport! Location was within walking distance to the Country Club Plaza. The assigned parking spot was a plus! This is an older apartment complex, so comes with some old house vibes - door might stick, water dripped in bathtub, but the beds were super comfortable, temperature was easy to control, all the amenities you would need were provided. There is an adorable courtyard for all the occupants to share that would be fun to hang out in on a warmer day. You do have to go up 2 half flights of stairs. It was a very nice stay! We would definitely stay here again!

The apartment was lovely. However, on our second night there was a party and a fight in the apartment above us that finally got quiet about 3:10 am I think the police came. Also, you might want to check your cleaning service. The shower curtain had that orange soap scum and mold on it so we bought some Clorax and cleaned it up. Other than that it was a wonderful place to stay and visit with friends within walking distance of the Plaza .

We were only there for one night. We baby sat our 8wk old grandson while kids went to the Banana Ball Game. It was comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Full kitchen with a hodge podge of plates/pans etc. If you plan to cook a lot, it might be a challenge. No prep or serving containers.

Overall, I’ll give this place a six out of 10 the check-in process was OK. The cleanliness wasn’t all of that. It smelled like straight cat piss when I walked in the shower curtain liner was very disgusting. It has stuff all over it. The tub really wasn’t that clean. I-seen that it was boogers on the walls. I’ve also noticed it was hair on the couches. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay for a night it is fine but overall the cleanliness needs to be a little better.

Upon arrival there was a puddle of water on the kitchen floor. I notified the host and asked for a cancellation and refund immediately because I did not want to be held responsible for any underlying issues or damage. The host stated that this was not a situation that called for a cancellation or refund because they were sending maintenance to look at this issue. I explained that we were very uncomfortable and would not be staying there. The unit was not cleaned properly, which I also notified the host about after he refused to cancel/refund me. I genuinely thought that a puddle of water in the middle of the kitchen and not wanting any liability would make sense to a business owner. The communication with the host was spotty and clearly at their convenience as opposed to the consideration of the renter (me). I accidentally messaged the host regarding housekeeping when I meant to text the hotel I ended up staying at instead. The host said they sent housekeeping to the unit after I had already been very clear that I was not staying at the unit. The maintenance person and housekeeping would have verified that the unit was empty. Absolutely a terrible experience. Would not recommend this host or property ever.

For the most part our stay was fine. The cleanliness of the space was not up to par in my opinion. In addition the king bed that I slept in had a literal dip in the mattress. Which doesn't make for comfortable sleep. I expected much better. While taking a shower, I noticed the interior wall of the tub/shower had what looks like white mold or very old spots of soap. I was also disappointed that I was asked to put a down payment of a hundred dollars before I could get my check in information. I totally understand this, I just wish it had been clear to me up front. I've used the other rental company many times and have never been asked to put any amount of money on hold. And this is a complaint for vrbo the company not the house owner... your interface and communication is lacking. I downloaded the app.The client had my cellphone number and an email. And I still couldn't find information I needed. This was my first time using vrbo and it will probably be my last.

This unit is located in an apartment building. It is surrounded by other units on all sides so keep that in mind. The place was large and the bed was comfortable, but it was dirty (dust everywhere, dead bugs in the tub) and smelled of weed; which may have leaked in from the nearby courtyard/tenants but it was pervasive. We were also required to pay a hundred dollar deposit plus provide a photo of our ID and face when checking in that was not detailed when we booked. We did receive the deposit back, but this should be explained before booking, especially since they use an outside app to collect the funds.

I have stayed at many vrbos and other rental properties, and this is the first time I've given a negative review. I would not recommend staying at this property.Damaged and unclean: There were multiple maintenance issues, but the biggest problem was the substantial mold and rotten flooring next to the bed. I messaged three times and never got a response. Other damaged aspects of the property included carpet separating from the floor with exposed and painful tacks, broken lampshades, one of the two sinks didn't work, and the tub was missing the stopper. Check in process: They required checking in via a separate website and a damage deposit outside of VRBO. Communication: I received several automated texts messages saying they hoped I was having a good stay, but didn't respond to any of my texts about the molding and rotten floor. This seems unsafe and unhygienic, and they didn't respond to any of my messages. It seems like they're part of a larger short term rental group, so I'll make sure to avoid all of their properties in the future.

Nice location, lovely kitchen and living area, comfortable bed but I would not necessarily stay again. The neighbors were very loud from 3:30 a.m. on, the fan was not balanced so it was loud, the toilet ran, and the curtains are sheer so in the morning light comes through but at night there’s only one lamp for light. It was clean though and felt safe and I appreciated having a no hassle way to do an early check in.

This property is nice and the outside courtyard was a nice place for my family to gather for the evening. However, there is no overhead lighting in either bedrooms, and the lap in the room we stayed did not work, so I could not see anything in the bedroom. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, but if you have more than 2 people who want to drink coffee, bring your own mugs as there are only 2. My issue was also with the check in process. I have always received a code to check in from the property manager when I have paid and it is time to check in. I never received this information. In order to receive this, I was required to provide a photo of the front and back of my drivers license, a self photo and a 100 deposit on my credit card before I was allowed the access code for the door. This was not communicated at all through VRBO, but was sent in a separate email that I did not see when we reserved the property. I was able to contact the property manager as I was trying to get into the property and the email was resent to me. After I followed all of the requirements, I was finally given the code. This was not a positive experience and I do advise anyone who wants to rent this space to make sure you understand all that is required from this owner.

This apartment is overall fine. There are definitely some items that need to be fixed (dripping bathroom sink, bath faucet is tricky to get to fully turn off, inadequate lighting in the bedrooms), but it was clean and sufficient for a one night stay with our dog. The location is great, and the parking spot is a big plus.We saw some very negative, concerning reviews from July 2025 after we booked but after our cancellation window that made us quite concerned. It appears that the owners addressed these issues after these reviews, as we did not see mold on the floor or have ceiling leaks in the bathroom, and the apartment smelled fine. Had a good stay at this property as we have in the past. Got unlucky this time and had romper room on the floor above us that had children running back and forth till 1 am. The host messaged them the first night and they finally stopped. Not so much luck the second night. Good, clean convenient property though

It's the perfect amount of space for 4 people. It would be nice to have better lighting in the living room. The neighbors upstairs from us were VERY noisy (night and day!) Not enough places to hang things, could use a few more hooks and another towel bar, since it's 2 bedrooms. We liked being able to cook and not have to go out for every meal.

Maybe because we arrived when it was dark that we had difficulty finding the parking lot and enterance to the building. Signs were not visible or apparent. The guests upstairs were parked halfway into our designated spot. And often smoking on the patio that we could smell in our unit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Westport! Location was within walking distance to the Country Club Plaza. The assigned parking spot was a plus! This is an older apartment complex, so comes with some old house vibes - door might stick, water dripped in bathtub, but the beds were super comfortable, temperature was easy to control, all the amenities you would need were provided. There is an adorable courtyard for all the occupants to share that would be fun to hang out in on a warmer day. You do have to go up 2 half flights of stairs. It was a very nice stay! We would definitely stay here again!

The apartment was lovely. However, on our second night there was a party and a fight in the apartment above us that finally got quiet about 3:10 am I think the police came. Also, you might want to check your cleaning service. The shower curtain had that orange soap scum and mold on it so we bought some Clorax and cleaned it up. Other than that it was a wonderful place to stay and visit with friends within walking distance of the Plaza .

This property is nice and the outside courtyard was a nice place for my family to gather for the evening. However, there is no overhead lighting in either bedrooms, and the lap in the room we stayed did not work, so I could not see anything in the bedroom. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, but if you have more than 2 people who want to drink coffee, bring your own mugs as there are only 2. My issue was also with the check in process. I have always received a code to check in from the property manager when I have paid and it is time to check in. I never received this information. In order to receive this, I was required to provide a photo of the front and back of my drivers license, a self photo and a 100 deposit on my credit card before I was allowed the access code for the door. This was not communicated at all through VRBO, but was sent in a separate email that I did not see when we reserved the property. I was able to contact the property manager as I was trying to get into the property and the email was resent to me. After I followed all of the requirements, I was finally given the code. This was not a positive experience and I do advise anyone who wants to rent this space to make sure you understand all that is required from this owner.

Upon arrival there was a puddle of water on the kitchen floor. I notified the host and asked for a cancellation and refund immediately because I did not want to be held responsible for any underlying issues or damage. The host stated that this was not a situation that called for a cancellation or refund because they were sending maintenance to look at this issue. I explained that we were very uncomfortable and would not be staying there. The unit was not cleaned properly, which I also notified the host about after he refused to cancel/refund me. I genuinely thought that a puddle of water in the middle of the kitchen and not wanting any liability would make sense to a business owner. The communication with the host was spotty and clearly at their convenience as opposed to the consideration of the renter (me). I accidentally messaged the host regarding housekeeping when I meant to text the hotel I ended up staying at instead. The host said they sent housekeeping to the unit after I had already been very clear that I was not staying at the unit. The maintenance person and housekeeping would have verified that the unit was empty. Absolutely a terrible experience. Would not recommend this host or property ever.

The location was wonderful and unit was looked clean. We enjoyed the little balcony. The unit did had a strange faint smell between cat urine and cooking. My son is allergic to cats and his eyes watered and became swollen over night. Another issue ( the first I have ever had using VRBO) The host was not responsive to my emails or phone call, I have to admit the issue ended up being mine, as I expected a message giving me info to enter the unit. There was a link in an earlier text and email that I had missed providing the info. However, the host could have told me that the first time I messaged him 3 days before our arrival. I messaged him again 1 day out and nothing- I had a sleepless night worrying that we didn’t have a place when we arrived the following day. Still nothing hours before our stay, I even phoned. No answer. Finally a got a message that the link was in an earlier text. Luckily I had not deleted it.

This unit is located in an apartment building. It is surrounded by other units on all sides so keep that in mind. The place was large and the bed was comfortable, but it was dirty (dust everywhere, dead bugs in the tub) and smelled of weed; which may have leaked in from the nearby courtyard/tenants but it was pervasive. We were also required to pay a hundred dollar deposit plus provide a photo of our ID and face when checking in that was not detailed when we booked. We did receive the deposit back, but this should be explained before booking, especially since they use an outside app to collect the funds.

Check in was fine. It was odd that they sent a link the day I booked several months in advance for the day of checkin. I reached out to the host and they seemed short with me when I asked about it. Kitchen had bare minimum of plates, bowls, cups. The cabinet all stuck and you had to pull hard to open. No salt or pepper in the shakers. WiFi was strong and easy to access.

I have stayed at many vrbos and other rental properties, and this is the first time I've given a negative review. I would not recommend staying at this property.Damaged and unclean: There were multiple maintenance issues, but the biggest problem was the substantial mold and rotten flooring next to the bed. I messaged three times and never got a response. Other damaged aspects of the property included carpet separating from the floor with exposed and painful tacks, broken lampshades, one of the two sinks didn't work, and the tub was missing the stopper. Check in process: They required checking in via a separate website and a damage deposit outside of VRBO. Communication: I received several automated texts messages saying they hoped I was having a good stay, but didn't respond to any of my texts about the molding and rotten floor. This seems unsafe and unhygienic, and they didn't respond to any of my messages. It seems like they're part of a larger short term rental group, so I'll make sure to avoid all of their properties in the future.

My daughter & fiancé live in KC. A few of us drove in from Texas to attend their engagement dinner party and for her “yes” to the dress day. The condo was very clean & in a nice safe area. We were close enough to everything in the city. The rental manager responded quickly when we had an issue with accessing at check-in. Other than that everything was satisfactory. We will definitely re-book for future use when visiting our daughter.

Sometimes you can’t tell from the online listing, but this is in an apartment-style building on the bottom floor. It felt like a basement and the bathroom had some mustiness. There are neighbors walking around above you so I was glad I brought my ear plugs. Otherwise we really enjoyed the short walk to Plaza shopping and restaurants. We slept well and enjoyed the coffee that was provided.

The location of this rental is great for getting out on the town. You’re right in the mix, close to shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is walkable and safely lit. My only wish is that there were a few fixes to broken features - the patio has a broken rail that poses a potential safety hazard, and the Beth room faucet was broken and obviously glued back together, which broke again quickly upon use.
The location of this rental is great for getting out on the town. You’re right in the mix, close to shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is walkable and safely lit. This place is not what it shows in the add we will never be booking with vrbo ever again. This place wasn't worth it. Broken rail on the second floor deck not attached, holes in the walls, counter top was broken and not attached, door nob broke off the bedroom door

Unfortunately the pictures look better than reality. Generally, it is a nice enough place but when you look at some of the details, it kind of feels like an older hotel room. It also had a smell to it that wasn't awesome. The kitchen also felt under equipped so cooking meals was actually kind of difficult. The location wasn't bad, the two king beds were great and the parking was easy.

We stayed for a long KC weekend and generally this place is fine. It's a good price and close to a lot of things. It's located in a larger complex, so there are a few issues that the property manager can't avoid (e.g., there was a pervasive smell of marijuana outside the front door). But parking was plentiful and we felt safe the entire time. We had communication issues with the property manager, such as emails asking for a later departure time, that went unanswered, but these did not meaningfully impact our stay.Nevertheless, we did have ants in the master bedroom, and we never received any contact from the property manager after sending proof. It was not an infestation, per se, but there were more than enough incidents to make us tread lightly in the bedroom (thankfully we did not catch ants in our bed or inside our luggage). We stayed for a long KC weekend and generally this place is fine. It's a good price and close to a lot of things. It's located in a larger complex, so there are a few issues that the property manager can't avoid (e.g., there was a pervasive smell of marijuana outside the front door). But parking was plentiful and we felt safe the entire time. We had communication issues with the property manager, such as emails asking for a later departure time, that went unanswered, but these did not meaningfully impact our stay.Nevertheless, we did have ants in the master bedroom, and we never received any contact from the property manager after sending proof. It was not an infestation, per se, but there were more than enough incidents to make us tread lightly in the bedroom (thankfully we did not catch ants in our bed or inside our luggage). Great location, but the apartment needs some work. Also had an interaction at the end of the stay with the property contact that completely turned me off to staying at any of their properties again.
