The view is fantastic! We really loved going down to explore the rocks and beach from the house. We will likely rebook in the spring when the weather is better so that we can take advantage of the kayaks and outdoor patio. Great, quiet, location...exactly what we were hoping for!

My partner and I were very impressed with our stay at this property, very cozy on a stormy weekend (without feeling small!), clean, well stocked with cooking essentials, as well as ample firewood for the stove. Beautiful beach, and they have a great DVD collection which brought some unexpected nostalgia.

A beautiful property inside and out. The hosts have thought of every need. Tastefully decorated and well stocked kitchen including sharp knives and Denman Island chocolate. Very comfortable king size bed. The ocean views are spectacular. Particularly enjoyed the extensive dvd collection. Perfect for our dog as the large property was deer fenced.

Perfect for two. Thoughtful appointments & decor. We appreciate the quiet, end of road location. Beautiful high bank view of the sound, several nice outdoor sitting areas & sit-on kayaks. The produce stand had high quality veggies for the evenings we stayed in. We're very glad we stayed here and will try to book next time we vacation on Denman.

Such an amazing place to unplug from the world. The cottage is so comfy especially with a fire in rhe wood burning stove, with all the modern amenities you need. Property is great for pets with a large fenced in yard and a staircase down to the ocean right in your backyard. Owners are very responsive and great with animals. Highly recommended if you want a get away to a slice of heaven.

The property featured a grand vista looking south over the water from a high bank. We enjoyed the view from a sheltered seating/ dining area, as well as from the 2 lounge chairs near the bank. King sized bed was also a great bonus.

Our stay was just what we wanted- relaxed and peaceful. The accommodation was spacious, clean and well equipped. Our hostess Robin was hospitable and responsive to all of our messages. The view from the cabin was amazing with colours constantly changing like many of the West Coast paintings we see.

We had a very relaxing two-day stay at Robin’s lovely Denman Island home. We wish we could have stayed longer as this is one of the nicest places we have visited. The furniture and decor is cozy and new. The bed is super comfy with crisp sheets. The entire place is very clean and has everything you need. The ocean views and soaring eagles are unmatched. We appreciated the special touches—a Denman Island Chocolate, biodegradable shampoo and soap. We will return!

Beautiful property, everything was clean, tidy and all instructions were clearly explained. Also, the pictures don't do the cottage justice, it is much bigger and nicer than we were expecting.I 100% recommend this stay!

My partner and I have nothing but positive things to say about this property...it's a must stay in our opinions. The cabin is well appointed with breathtaking views of the ocean and incredible Sea Lions and Bald Eagle watching. The cabin itself is clean, well furnished and has a very welcoming ambience. We took our two dogs and were very pleased with the large fenced yard for them to roam an added bonus for sure. From booking to checking in the process was seamless and Robin was quick to respond to any questions and also provided some very useful information about the property it's amenities and places on the Island to visit and do. We highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a peaceful and stress free getaway.

The weather forecast was not great: rain and cold weather, but luckily we didn’t give up on this our first visit to Denman Island. The Herring spawn was in full swing right before our eyes as the property overlooks the ocean. Bald Eagles, thousands of Glaucous Seagulls and Countless Sea Lions were all at work getting a good helping of the spawning Herrings and their tiny eggs that glue to the eel grass. We also counted an astounding number of fishing vessels working around the clock to make full use of the time restricted fishery. Sadly only the herring row is used for human consumption primarily by the Japanese market while the rest of the fish is disrespected and only used for dogfood!! This is a disgrace as the Herring is so basic and very vital part of the food chain that support so many other living beings along our coasts and in the water. Apart from being upset about this thoughtless fishery we did truly enjoy our cozy accommodation, the wood stove worked wonders during the cool evenings and both the sofas and the bed were very comfortable. We can only imagine how lovely this place is in the warmer season when you can sit down and enjoy outside the cottage!

This quirky cottage has a gorgeous view, with great spots for morning coffee and walks on the beach. Inside you have all the amenities you need, from blankets to games to a decent kitchen - only caution is that if you're a cook, best not to plan for an elaborate meal as counter space is minimal. This was a great private and quiet cottage with a wonderful sea view and beach access. The hosts were very responsive in fixing a burner on the stove and giving lots of advice on Denman Island. We absolutely loved the island -such nice people, awesome beach walks along rocky and sandy coastlines, wildlife views (sea lions rafted together and eagles swooping down on them, river otters along the beach, and of course deer). Won't forget this visit and hopefully will make it back again!
This was a great private and quiet cottage with a wonderful sea view and beach access. The hosts were very responsive in fixing a burner on the stove and giving lots of advice on Denman Island. My wife and I booked the Salt and Timber cabin for a weekend getaway and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cabin has everything you need to relax, unplug and enjoy this small piece of paradise. While we never needed any assistance from Robin I could tell she would have gone above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

Scenic, quiet location. Comfortable cabin, exceptionally clean. Robin was very pleasant to deal with and we appreciate being able to bring our 2 dogs.

My wife and I along with our 2 doggies spent the weekend at this cottage and we had a great time. The fenced yard is huge and our two doggies love the space to roam around. The cottage is well kept and has a great view of the ocean. The host Robin was quick to respond to our questions and was very helpful during our stay.

A perfect spot for a base to explore Denman, put your kayaks in the water and visit friends in Courtenay, all of which we did. This quirky cottage has a gorgeous view, with great spots for morning coffee and walks on the beach. Inside you have all the amenities you need, from blankets to games to a decent kitchen - only caution is that if you're a cook, best not to plan for an elaborate meal as counter space is minimal. This spot gave us just the weekend we were looking for!

We really enjoyed our time on Denman. The vibe was chill and relaxing, and the people matched. It was exactly what we needed. Also loved all the local wildlife, what a cool place.

This place blew me away! We will be back! The garden wasn’t in bloom but could imagine how beautiful it will be soon. The view from the bedroom and dinning room were spectacular. The sun gifted us with beautiful photos and a great day exploring Hornby Island! All of Robins suggestions made for a great get away!

The property featured a grand vista looking south over the water from a high bank. We enjoyed the view from a sheltered seating/ dining area, as well as from the 2 lounge chairs near the bank. King sized bed was also a great bonus.

This cottage is a gem set on two acres of tranquil, scenic waterfront with fabulous views.The cottage was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The outside deck for eating and sitting along with a gas fireplace. Along the embankment overlooking the ocean were several well placed comfortable chairs for enjoying the view.We enjoyed our stay so much that we are returning for another week next year. We highly recommend this place.

Nice sized cabin well equipped with everything you need.Large property to walk and look over the ocean with beautiful views and chairs situated in good areas of views! Rustic property with wildflowers and huge trees give it shade! Is a awesome spot to relax and enjoy!

This property is stunning! The views from every seating area was magic. The cabin was comfortable and has all the necessities of home. If you have pets or children you would need to be mindful near the bluff edges. Owners were available if needed but we had all the privacy wanted. We will go stay here again!
