Perfect little swamp getaway, had an amazingly relaxing time. Boat launch is more than deep enough even at low pool, just be very careful of stumps and sudden shallows on the way to the main channel. Incredible scenery along the way. The four kayaks at the house work great for this too. Absolutely loved this place highly recommend it and will hopefully be back soon.

Everything about it was just as good as it says. Wanted someplace with "bayou " scenery that I could take my mother and grandmother who are in wheelchairs. The elevator made that possible and the view from the porch was worth it alone. Owner was very nice and responsive. Would definitely recommend

This is the place for you if you want to be on the water and want solitude. We wanted this place because we love to kayak, and it has water access. The boat ramp was great for launching kayaks, and water ways from this house led to large bodies of water. This house has a wonderful covered front porch with picturesque views of Cypress and Tupelo river banks. The porch is where we spent most of our time while at the house. We did enjoy one evening at the fire pit that is surrounded by Adirondack chairs. There were four of us (two couples) and we had plenty of room. There’s not a lot of room for dinning inside, but we ate all our meals at a table on the porch. There’s plenty of seating on the porch as well as a picnic table on the grounds. The house is very clean and well stocked with what you need. I did have a few questions before arriving which were promptly answered. I was also given suggestions for some places to eat, which was appreciated. We were all very pleased with the property. As far a Jefferson, TX goes, if you want to visit this historical town, most of the businesses are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. (We found this out on a Tuesday)

The cabin itself was clean comfortable. The pictures on the listing need to be updated. The lift was not operable, looks like it hadn't been in awhile. Going on the pictures of the water, we looked forward to fishing, spent 60.00 on out of state fishing license, bought fishing equipment. Was very disappointed that the water was full of green water plants. Some spots on the deck were very questionable as well as the dock. Many rotten boards. Tree limbs could be cut back, when you sit on the deck the amazing view is blocked.

Absolutely gorgeous property!! Very private and secluded. Boat ramp and water way into the lake is very shallow, our boat is a smaller tracker bass boat, we made it in and out but it was really slow going. Enjoyed 3 very stress free days!

My family of 6 very comfortably and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! We were able to explore the beautiful cypress forest in provided kayaks during the day, enjoy the evening and night nature noises sitting around the fire ring, fish from the pier, rest and observe wildlife from the 4 large rockers on the porch under ceiling fans, cooked and enjoyed meals together inside in the comfortably sized kitchen and living area, and played games inside and out. We made use of the up to date but easy to use washer and dryer allowing us to have clean and dry towels for each outing and showers in the beautiful oversized shower. The kitchen was clean and well stocked w plenty of pots pans and dishes, huge pantry, full sized fridge and ice maker in the above freezer. Check in and check out was a breeze, and the host was very readily available answering any questions we had. My family absolutely loves this property and we will be back for more fun and wonderful memory making!!!

Cabin was cozy. Bed was very comfortable. The fire ring was covered up with grass but we cleared it. Quite a bit of noise from the highway. Other than that it was great. Enjoyed our trip.

We have been to Caddo Lake several times to go fishing. This is by far the nicest place we have stayed. It was very convenient having a private launch. The cabin was very neat and clean. Everything was way beyond our expectations. We really enjoyed our stay!

This property was an excellent find! The owners have thought of everything to make this a comfortable getaway. The home is well thought out and stocked with everything you’ll need. It was very clean too! Our whole family really loved the kayaks and spent a lot of time exploring the area that way. Plenty of outdoor space for everyone to enjoy - just bring your bug spray! We’ll definitely return to this house if going to this area again!

It’s a beautiful home. Very clean and comfortable. Only downside was the Salvinia covering the water, that killed the view. No fault of anyone. Just nature. I would still go back!

The property was exactly as I wanted- quiet, and no nearby neighbors so it felt very private. House was well stocked with kitchen items, linens, etc and the bed was very comfortable. FYI- the grill is charcoal, so be sure to bring if you want to grill. Also- while the view is gorgeous, don't expect to be getting in the water as it is pretty murky. I did send an email to host prior to arriving asking about the grill and a few things in which I did not receive a reply, but other than that the place was lovely and I would definitely stay there again.

We had two minor issues with the locks, but both were resolved quickly via phone with the owner. Our only negative is that the photos of the water online do not remotely match the condition of the water currently. The waterways are covered with giant salvinia (an invasive water plant) and kayaking is impossible. I tried and failed miserably to the great amusement of my wife. The house itself is fabulous. The shower is marvelous, and we appreciated the working icemaker in the refrigerator. That is an unusual asset in our experience. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and some spices as well as coffee. The neighborhood was a bit noisy with traffic from nearby LA2 (thus the four stars). Nighttime lightning bugs were a treat - haven't seen those in years in our area. The location was good as we made trips to Caddo Lake State Park and to Shreveport (for golf) during our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the cabin.

Very private location. Even waterfront is very personal area with a short ride to lake by boat. Good areas to explore by kayak too. Camp is comfortable and clean. Local town has low quality grocery and the Walmart has no grocery at all. It is ok for a meal if you forget something but if you want to cook nice I suggest to bring food with you. Highly recommend property and owner is great at quick response if needed!

we spent my 45th birthday weekend at this place. we got there when it was dark, and the stars were amazing. the house is beautiful, beds were fantastic. Host was very responsive and helpful. all i wanted for my birthday was to be able to fish. the salvinia was pretty bad so she allowed us to visit one of her other cabins off the river so i could get some fishing in. will def be booking another stay!

The property was exactly as I wanted- quiet, and no nearby neighbors so it felt very private. House was well stocked with kitchen items, linens, etc and the bed was very comfortable. FYI- the grill is charcoal, so be sure to bring if you want to grill. Also- while the view is gorgeous, don't expect to be getting in the water as it is pretty murky. I did send an email to host prior to arriving asking about the grill and a few things in which I did not receive a reply, but other than that the place was lovely and I would definitely stay there again.

My family of 6 very comfortably and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! We were able to explore the beautiful cypress forest in provided kayaks during the day, enjoy the evening and night nature noises sitting around the fire ring, fish from the pier, rest and observe wildlife from the 4 large rockers on the porch under ceiling fans, cooked and enjoyed meals together inside in the comfortably sized kitchen and living area, and played games inside and out. We made use of the up to date but easy to use washer and dryer allowing us to have clean and dry towels for each outing and showers in the beautiful oversized shower. The kitchen was clean and well stocked w plenty of pots pans and dishes, huge pantry, full sized fridge and ice maker in the above freezer. Check in and check out was a breeze, and the host was very readily available answering any questions we had. My family absolutely loves this property and we will be back for more fun and wonderful memory making!!!

We had two minor issues with the locks, but both were resolved quickly via phone with the owner. Our only negative is that the photos of the water online do not remotely match the condition of the water currently. The waterways are covered with giant salvinia (an invasive water plant) and kayaking is impossible. I tried and failed miserably to the great amusement of my wife. The house itself is fabulous. The shower is marvelous, and we appreciated the working icemaker in the refrigerator. That is an unusual asset in our experience. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and some spices as well as coffee. The neighborhood was a bit noisy with traffic from nearby LA2 (thus the four stars). Nighttime lightning bugs were a treat - haven't seen those in years in our area. The location was good as we made trips to Caddo Lake State Park and to Shreveport (for golf) during our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the cabin.

This is a nice cabin. We arrived at the cabin and had no water. The property management was quick to respond and the issue was resolved in minutes. Beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Very private location. Even waterfront is very personal area with a short ride to lake by boat. Good areas to explore by kayak too. Camp is comfortable and clean. Local town has low quality grocery and the Walmart has no grocery at all. It is ok for a meal if you forget something but if you want to cook nice I suggest to bring food with you. Highly recommend property and owner is great at quick response if needed!

The house was perfect for the 2 of us. The host is very responsive. The shower and patio was definitely a favorite of ours! The location was private and secluded, but only 10 minutes away from food, gas, and grocery services. If you choose to stay at this property, I highly recommend sitting out on the dock late at night and listen to the lake come alive as the baby gators chat with each other, the frogs try to out sing the insects, and the owls hoot. We would stay here again.

This is the place for you if you want to be on the water and want solitude. We wanted this place because we love to kayak, and it has water access. The boat ramp was great for launching kayaks, and water ways from this house led to large bodies of water. This house has a wonderful covered front porch with picturesque views of Cypress and Tupelo river banks. The porch is where we spent most of our time while at the house. We did enjoy one evening at the fire pit that is surrounded by Adirondack chairs. There were four of us (two couples) and we had plenty of room. There’s not a lot of room for dinning inside, but we ate all our meals at a table on the porch. There’s plenty of seating on the porch as well as a picnic table on the grounds. The house is very clean and well stocked with what you need. I did have a few questions before arriving which were promptly answered. I was also given suggestions for some places to eat, which was appreciated. We were all very pleased with the property. As far a Jefferson, TX goes, if you want to visit this historical town, most of the businesses are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. (We found this out on a Tuesday)

Absolutely gorgeous property!! Very private and secluded. Boat ramp and water way into the lake is very shallow, our boat is a smaller tracker bass boat, we made it in and out but it was really slow going. Enjoyed 3 very stress free days!

I cannot say enough great things about our stay! Private!!! Although the road isnt far you feel so secluded with a Private boat launch and a drive through covered carport. If you are wanting to get away and decompress, this is the place for you and yours. Additionally the cabin is beautiful and very well appointed!! Any food items you may need is a pretty close drive, even though you feel very "disconnected". I could go on and on about how great our stay was, so definitely do not hesitate to book this gorgeous cabin! You will not be disappointed!

It’s a beautiful home. Very clean and comfortable. Only downside was the Salvinia covering the water, that killed the view. No fault of anyone. Just nature. I would still go back!

Our stay was awesome. The place was very clean and well furnished. Sadly Caddo Lake was covered in salvinia so we couldn’t do much fishing. But an awesome weekend getaway with a few friends.

Our stay was overall excellent. The cabin was very welcoming and enjoyable. We loved the rocking chairs, fans on the porch and layout of the house. The master bed was amazing and all was clean. We were disappointed in the smell/quality of the water indoors. And, there was a significant amount of noise from the nearby road.
