Very nice and well stocked. A large space, enough room for the 4 of us- each had a bathroom! Lovely porches and a beautiful yard- flowers were gorgeous. Only con was that it is on a busy road that could be loud in the front bedroom. But we had a great time. Thank you

We are 3 couple (siblings and spouses). We stayed 3 nights for our annual national park trip. The place was the perfect location for visiting CVNP. It was close to everything and we loved the little town of Peninsula. It was great to each have our own bathroom. The house was well equipped and we loved sitting on the beautiful back deck each evening. We hated to leave. Great place.

We had a sibling reunion in Peninsula. There were four couples, so we each had our own bedroom. The rooms (although two were on the small side) were clean and comfortable each with their own bathrooms. The kitchen was very functional and the dining room easily accommodated all of us. The common areas were comfortable and the amenities such as books, games, and area info were plentiful. The laundry is a great bonus. The location can't be beat as it is a short walk to the restaurants and shops in Peninsula as well as easy access to the national park. The hosts were very communicative and took care of the one very minor issue we had promptly. One thing to be aware of is that the only bathrooms in the house are those associated with the bedrooms, so no common area half bath on the first floor or the like.

My sister and my families stayed here for 4 days. Everyone had a good bed and en suite bathroom. We were all able to cook and gather around the dining table for 10. The cute house had a great selection of games and books and was even decorated for the holidays!

Great property and accommodations. Historic house with perfect furnishings for a good stay. Kitchen is well equipped, sitting rooms are comfortable and the bedding is lovely. The outdoor patio provides a nice eating and entertainment area, and it was great to sit on the front porch swing and watch busy people pass by! There is ample parking and a nice yard. The location is perfect for visiting the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, only a couple of miles to the Boston Mill area and Hines Hill Conference Area. A Wonderful Visit - nice accommodations, good area, and outstanding family gathering.

If I could give this place six stars for location, I would. Smack dab in the center of the park, so it was super quick/easy to get to hikes. Very short walk (on a sidewalk) to the train depot, towpath access, coffee shop and two restaurants. The house itself had a spacious backyard and porch, which was perfect for eating outside (and for kids to run around). We loved that the dining room table was actually big enough to hold our entire group, so we could eat together - that's rare for our party of 10! The kitchen had all the usual stuff - coffee maker, toaster, mixing bowls, measuring cups, pots & pans, colander, baking sheets, cutting boards, vegetable peeler, can opener, plenty of dishes, etc. There is one bedroom suite downstairs with washer/dryer, plus three more bedrooms upstairs. Every bedroom has its own en suite bathroom, which was really nice. There was a cot in a downstairs closet, which we didn't use. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Cuyahoga Valley. Definitely recommend!

Three of our group were international visitors. They loved the authentic Americana vibe of the house and surrounding areas. There were lovely decorative accents (eg. antique pictures of the area, framed needlepoint) Four well appointed bedrooms with bathrooms was a huge plus for our group of 5. Plenty of space for gathering together and private chats or solitude. Coffee on the front porch swing was a treat! Dinner on the deck or in the dining room was enjoyable. We felt safe and the house was quiet despite being on a busy street. The host notified us that there was a problem with the washer and promptly arranged for its repair and personally checked that it was completed. There were books and games available as well as brochures and area attraction information. I would highly recommend the Blue Hen!

Everything about this house is first rate. Hosts are great at communicating. The house is beautifully furnished and provides plenty of seating options for larger groups. The back porch is very comfortable, which we used every evening. We appreciated the excellent selection of K-Cups for the Keurig. The location is close to restaurants and convenient to the park. I highly recommend this house. Rent it and you'll be glad you did.

We had 6 adults and 4 children stay this weekend to visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It is the perfect location to the park. We could walk downtown to the shops or to get on the towpath. There are also to restaurants in walking distance. The drive to hikes, snow skiing or other activities is very easy. We kids loved the big back yard and the adults enjoyed the large back porch. There is plenty of room to spread out to not be on top of each other. My only complaint is that we needed more silverware. And that’s really nothing. You could hear traffic but we used the fans and had no problem sleeping.

Wonderful and comfortable home. Lots of space and a great yard for the kids. The location offered dining, hiking and some great antique and local artisan shopping. Hosts were quick to respond to questions too! Loved the cleanliness of our historic home in lovely Peninsula Ohio.

5 Stars! This home was everything we had hoped for for our annual “girls” trip. It was so clean!!! And so well appointed. Everything we needed and even more. The beds are comfy and again, spotless! Even the towels were so nice. There was a cozy living room and an outside patio and a front porch swing. Super close to the National Park for a nice hike and close to Hudson for shopping and dining. A super cute bakery and coffee shop overlooking the River was within walking distance. We are planning on returning next year. The hosts were friendly, responsive and so generous. Ant say enough. An all time favorite.

The home met our needs for a family gathering. Each bedroom had a bathroom which was very helpful. Storage space was limited in several of the bathrooms and bedrooms (no closet or armoire). The setting was close to the activities that we wanted to do. The home was clean and furnished with many period pieces and features which gave it a comfortable and welcoming feel. The hosts were very resposive when we needed to reach out. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would consider the property again in the future for a similar family gathering.

The Blue Hen Inn is a well cared-for and beautiful home. It is very clean and all four bedrooms have their own bathroom. The dining table is large and can accommodate at least 10 comfortably. It was perfect for our family. Although the main purpose of our stay was to visit Cleveland, we wished we had a few extra days to relax and enjoy this home and its amenities!!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Blue Hen. It was fantastic to have a separate bathroom to go along with each bedroom, and the kitchen was very well provisioned. The patio, yard, and flowers were delightful. There was a bit of traffic noise from the street at times but not enough to be a problem. We enjoyed our stay there and highly recommend it.

Nice location in Peninsula. Well appointed historic older home. Beds are on the small side. Dining table will seat 12. Appreciate the case of water awaiting us in the fridge. Nice selection of games. Grill in good working order. We'd definitely go back.

This lovely home met all of our needs while visiting with family in the area. It was so nice to sit down together for brunch at the very large dining room table. The spacious living room was great to relax in after a long, fun-filled day. Large bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, had very comfortable beds… We hope to come again!

The spacious living room was great to relax in after a long, fun-filled day. Large bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, had very comfortable beds… We hope to come again!

We had a sibling reunion in Peninsula. There were four couples, so we each had our own bedroom. The rooms (although two were on the small side) were clean and comfortable each with their own bathrooms. The kitchen was very functional and the dining room easily accommodated all of us. The common areas were comfortable and the amenities such as books, games, and area info were plentiful. The laundry is a great bonus. The location can't be beat as it is a short walk to the restaurants and shops in Peninsula as well as easy access to the national park. The hosts were very communicative and took care of the one very minor issue we had promptly. One thing to be aware of is that the only bathrooms in the house are those associated with the bedrooms, so no common area half bath on the first floor or the like.

5 Stars! This home was everything we had hoped for for our annual “girls” trip. It was so clean!!! And so well appointed. Everything we needed and even more. The beds are comfy and again, spotless! Even the towels were so nice. There was a cozy living room and an outside patio and a front porch swing. Super close to the National Park for a nice hike and close to Hudson for shopping and dining. A super cute bakery and coffee shop overlooking the River was within walking distance. We are planning on returning next year. The hosts were friendly, responsive and so generous. Ant say enough. An all time favorite.

Three of our group were international visitors. They loved the authentic Americana vibe of the house and surrounding areas. There were lovely decorative accents (eg. antique pictures of the area, framed needlepoint) Four well appointed bedrooms with bathrooms was a huge plus for our group of 5. Plenty of space for gathering together and private chats or solitude. Coffee on the front porch swing was a treat! Dinner on the deck or in the dining room was enjoyable. We felt safe and the house was quiet despite being on a busy street. The host notified us that there was a problem with the washer and promptly arranged for its repair and personally checked that it was completed. There were books and games available as well as brochures and area attraction information. I would highly recommend the Blue Hen!

The home met our needs for a family gathering. Each bedroom had a bathroom which was very helpful. Storage space was limited in several of the bathrooms and bedrooms (no closet or armoire). The setting was close to the activities that we wanted to do. The home was clean and furnished with many period pieces and features which gave it a comfortable and welcoming feel. The hosts were very resposive when we needed to reach out. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would consider the property again in the future for a similar family gathering.

We had a lovely visit. Came with my daughters and their friends to see a concert at Blossom Music Center. Also did some hiking. A GREAT location for everything. Lots of space for quiet time and community space for playing games and meals. Had some serious storms during our stay and were thankful for the generator that kept the fridge and AC on. Excellent and attentive hosts.

We are 3 couple (siblings and spouses). We stayed 3 nights for our annual national park trip. The place was the perfect location for visiting CVNP. It was close to everything and we loved the little town of Peninsula. It was great to each have our own bathroom. The house was well equipped and we loved sitting on the beautiful back deck each evening. We hated to leave. Great place.

Great property and accommodations. Historic house with perfect furnishings for a good stay. Kitchen is well equipped, sitting rooms are comfortable and the bedding is lovely. The outdoor patio provides a nice eating and entertainment area, and it was great to sit on the front porch swing and watch busy people pass by! There is ample parking and a nice yard. The location is perfect for visiting the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, only a couple of miles to the Boston Mill area and Hines Hill Conference Area. A Wonderful Visit - nice accommodations, good area, and outstanding family gathering.

If I could give this place six stars for location, I would. Smack dab in the center of the park, so it was super quick/easy to get to hikes. Very short walk (on a sidewalk) to the train depot, towpath access, coffee shop and two restaurants. The house itself had a spacious backyard and porch, which was perfect for eating outside (and for kids to run around). We loved that the dining room table was actually big enough to hold our entire group, so we could eat together - that's rare for our party of 10! The kitchen had all the usual stuff - coffee maker, toaster, mixing bowls, measuring cups, pots & pans, colander, baking sheets, cutting boards, vegetable peeler, can opener, plenty of dishes, etc. There is one bedroom suite downstairs with washer/dryer, plus three more bedrooms upstairs. Every bedroom has its own en suite bathroom, which was really nice. There was a cot in a downstairs closet, which we didn't use. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Cuyahoga Valley. Definitely recommend!

We had 6 adults and 4 children stay this weekend to visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It is the perfect location to the park. We could walk downtown to the shops or to get on the towpath. There are also to restaurants in walking distance. The drive to hikes, snow skiing or other activities is very easy. We kids loved the big back yard and the adults enjoyed the large back porch. There is plenty of room to spread out to not be on top of each other. My only complaint is that we needed more silverware. And that’s really nothing. You could hear traffic but we used the fans and had no problem sleeping.

Wonderful space for grandparents and two families of 4! Kids loved the side yard and platform in the yard for performances. Also close walking to coffee & wine shop as well as Classical Academy with a great playground.

The house is lovely, charming, and welcoming. A refrigerator well stocked with water bottles was an unexpected gift as were the croissants. Best feature is the back porch, which couldn’t have been better.
