Owner could not have been nicer, we had brownies prepared on kitchen table when we got there ! Cabin was spotless clean eggs were in the fridge and other items like coffee ect. . Dear grazing in the front yard and she now has a brand new incredibly beautiful home rental about 500 yards away, secluded that we are going back to rent soon ! Best price anywhere !!!

Perfect location and accommodations. Just far enough off the main roads to be secluded but not too far to go out and do things. The cabin is set up with everything you need and lots of extras. We will definitely book again.

What a perfect setting for a short retreat to recharge your spirit. The cabin was ideal; everything needed to relax. My favorite spot was the screened porch in the early evening. I haven't enjoyed the comfort and tranquility of a leisurely evening in ages. Thank you Lorraine for the break I needed.

Excellent accommodations, but it was so peaceful on the property it gave me time to do a reset. Sitting outside by the fire pit or on that great screened in porch was not why I picked the property, but it was the thing I enjoyed the most. You are so close to food/shopping and lots of nature trails that I recommend this to anyone who needs a break from their schedule. Great host / great location.

Not only was the cabin cozy and the property peaceful, the drive up was enjoyable as well. There is much to do in the surrounding areas. Plenty of hiking for the outdoor enthusiast, historical areas for the scholar, wineries/cideries for the foodie inclined and a myriad of antique/ vintage shops for the shopper all within a 30 minute drive. The cabin itself has everything you need for a quiet retreat away from the city; we particularly enjoyed sitting by the firepit sipping coffee and watching the young deer roam around us. The chickens and ducks are alot of fun to listen to as well. We would definetly book the Cozy Mountain Cabin again.

We stayed for one short night in the cozy cabin and were sorry to leave. The setting is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees and only the sounds of chickens and wild birds. The inside of the cabin was sparkling clean. Lorraine thoughtfully left fresh eggs and butter, a selection of beer and wine, coffee and tea, and brownies. The bed was very comfortable. The loft bedroom requires using a narrow spiral staircase, which didn't bother us but important to note. The screened in porch was just lovely for relaxing in the peace and quiet. Wish we could have stayed another night or two.

This cabin had everything we were looking for. Its location was perfect for the event we attended at Devil's Backbone. The setting is so relaxing. We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch, sipping the locally roasted coffee the host provided, and watching the wildlife. We hope to return next year.

This adorable little cabin was so cozy! It was the perfect size for a couple, and it was very clean and had everything you would ever need. Tons of games and a huge selection of great movies!! Wish we could've stayed for more than a night!

The cabin is in a very pretty location, close to Shenandoah, vineyards, and other activities. Lorraine did a wonderful job providing plenty of amenities, she really went above and beyond what I would have expected. The cabin is very clean and everything is in good condition. It's bigger than the pictures and some of the other reviews made me expect - certainly larger and nicer than any hotel room you could find for a similar cost, and a hotel won't have such bucolic environs. There's a bed in the loft and a futon on the ground floor. The spiral staircase is tight, but very sturdy and safe. Overall I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Definitely consider staying here!

This cozy cabin far exceeded our expectations. The actually cabin is beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with what anyone would need. The property is also gorgeous and my girlfriend and I fell in love with the ducks and chickens. Everything was great from the spacious kitchen, to the the loft, the super cozy queen bed, the scrumptious brownies or the TV and DVD player with a selection of classics. This has been our best experience with any VRBO. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Dinner at Devils Backbone brewery which is right around the corner. Breakfast in Waynesboro. Hiking at Panther Falls. Polo match at Kings Family Vineyard. Wedding at Sky Ridge Farm. Toilet on master room level would have been nice but rustic log cabin living at it’s finest with all the amenities!

Lorraine is a great host, providing so many small touches that make your stay so comfortable. The house is cozy but not cramped The mattress was also very comfortable. The winding staircase is tight and could be an issue for some so keep that in mind. The location is quiet and peaceful

This property was amazing! Absolutely beautiful views. The cabin was furnished with everything you could ask for, down to, chocolates, homemade brownies and a selection of tea. The owner greeted us on our way to the cabin and was even plowing and salting the long driveway. I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is a well-built cabin complete with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The renter was also kind enough to provide some thoughtful treats and touches. The location of the cabin was perfect. It was not too far from civilization and extremely close to our favorite brewery and cidery but still felt like a quiet getaway retreat. The renter was also able to suggest a fantastic farmers market and excellent hiking trails all within close proximity. All in all this was a great getaway.

Close to wintergreen and all thr breweries, clean and quiet home with a very responsive and friendly host.

One short, comfortable night, with brownies on the table to greet us, fresh eggs from resident chickens in the fridge, and thoughtfully selected details that met our needs and more had we had the opportunity to stay longer. Would absolutely return.

This was our second stay at Lorraine’s cozy cabin and it was just as wonderful as our first! The location is convenient, as it is within 20 minutes of several of our favorite local wineries, breweries, trails, and attractions. Lorraine is incredibly responsive and thoughtful, and even left us brownies, eggs, and firewood. We highly recommend!

Perfect location and accommodations. Just far enough off the main roads to be secluded but not too far to go out and do things. The cabin is set up with everything you need and lots of extras. We will definitely book again.

This was one of the best rental properties that we have stayed at! The host was easy to contact and the cabin was perfect. The cabin is close to everything on 151! We will come back in a heart beat!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is a well-built cabin complete with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The renter was also kind enough to provide some thoughtful treats and touches. The location of the cabin was perfect. It was not too far from civilization and extremely close to our favorite brewery and cidery but still felt like a quiet getaway retreat. The renter was also able to suggest a fantastic farmers market and excellent hiking trails all within close proximity. All in all this was a great getaway.

Excellent accommodations, but it was so peaceful on the property it gave me time to do a reset. Sitting outside by the fire pit or on that great screened in porch was not why I picked the property, but it was the thing I enjoyed the most. You are so close to food/shopping and lots of nature trails that I recommend this to anyone who needs a break from their schedule. Great host / great location.

Dinner at Devils Backbone brewery which is right around the corner. Breakfast in Waynesboro. Hiking at Panther Falls. Polo match at Kings Family Vineyard. Wedding at Sky Ridge Farm. Toilet on master room level would have been nice but rustic log cabin living at it’s finest with all the amenities!

This cabin had everything we were looking for. Its location was perfect for the event we attended at Devil's Backbone. The setting is so relaxing. We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch, sipping the locally roasted coffee the host provided, and watching the wildlife. We hope to return next year.

This was the perfect getaway for me and my partner. Walking into the cabin we had been welcomed by fresh brownies ! This cabin felt so cozy and inviting. Lorraine was super sweet and helpful for anything we may have needed. We will definitely book again !

This property was amazing! Absolutely beautiful views. The cabin was furnished with everything you could ask for, down to, chocolates, homemade brownies and a selection of tea. The owner greeted us on our way to the cabin and was even plowing and salting the long driveway. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property, remote, but close to town, and plenty to close by from hiking to wineries and breweries. Only downside was not enough places to eat decent meals. Thetre is only so much wings and burgers you can eat. The cabin lived up to it's name, Cozy, loved sitting out on the Screened porch, & the fire pit was a bonus! The only thing we found lacking was that there was not enough hot water especially for showering. Other than that we enjoyed our time there!

We enjoyed the best little get away at the cozy cabin. Everything we needed was available. It was comfortable and quiet. Everywhere in town we had meals were excellent. Can’t say enough on how wonderful it was.

We stayed for one short night in the cozy cabin and were sorry to leave. The setting is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees and only the sounds of chickens and wild birds. The inside of the cabin was sparkling clean. Lorraine thoughtfully left fresh eggs and butter, a selection of beer and wine, coffee and tea, and brownies. The bed was very comfortable. The loft bedroom requires using a narrow spiral staircase, which didn't bother us but important to note. The screened in porch was just lovely for relaxing in the peace and quiet. Wish we could have stayed another night or two.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin. The location was perfect to get to Bold Rock and Nellysford. The cabin was beautiful and clean. We saw a couple of deer during our stay. We will definitely be back.

Cozy, peaceful, well organized. I loved the charm of this place and the poultry in the back! The description is spot on, all the little stuff I needed was provided. I was fortunate enough to meet Lorraine, and I found her to be accommodating and easy going. If you have questions, she will get back to you with a quick turnaround and concise answers. Price point is better than other cabins in the vicinity and single night bookings are accepted. Owner's domicile is directly behind this cabin; I only met her once (feeding said poultry) and didn't see anyone in that house the rest of the time I was there. The directions to get to the cabin are exact, and you will not be disappointed when the driveway levels out and you pull up to this sweet little cabin. I recommend and I will be back.
