The View

The mountain house was wonderful. Beautiful inside and the views are spectacular. The road to get there was a challenge even with 4 wheel drive SUVs. Numerous deep holes and uneven dirt and rock surfaces made some of my family uncomfortable. Listing mentions driveway but it really is a long dangerous road. It was worth it though as the house is fantastic.

We stayed at this property with our two toddlers and our friends with their toddler. We loved this house! Great views, nice room set up, and it was possibly the cleanest rental house I’ve ever stayed in. We stayed for 3 nights and the garbage bags/paper towels/toilet paper provided were enough.The road to reach it isn’t too bad most of the way — hilly gravel. The last stretch of driveway is bumpier and steep; definitely need more than 2WD in icy/slick conditions. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay!

I enjoyed the remoteness of the home and the warm comfortability of our stay. The home checked all our boxes- view, comfy beds, wood burning fireplace and solitude. Will stay here again.

We would have given it five stars and would love to come again if the owner would work on just their own part of the driveway. The rest was not too bad but once you turned onto 4242 the drive has not been maintained. Fabulous Sunrises!
