Lost on the Lake-Cozy Cottage with a Lakeview

Lost Lake cottage was a clean and warm (during an exceptionally cold week) and a reasonably supplied home. The appliances were older but functional as we chose to eat all our meals in. We had messaged Pictured Rocks to ask the host or owner to add some towel racks in the bathroom. There was nowhere to dry our towels except on hangars in our bedroom closet. They replied that such amenity would be added. Though the home small for four men, it met our needs for the week after our first private rental was found flooded. We were helped through a local Munising friend, who found this VRBO rental through Pictured Rocks Realty on such short notice. Again, we are thankful to the Realty office and our friend for salvaging our week of snowmobiling.

Nice location and place. Great for our little getaway snowmobile Trip. Love how quiet the area is in the winter. If you’re sledding out of this location I have a small 12’ enclosed trailer and it’s a little tight to get into this place. But they did just have a ton of snow dumped on them. There was an annoying cat that would not go away that stayed on the deck and sat on the deck furniture most of the day. The picture on the website showed two sets of single bunkbeds. When we got there it was one double bunk bed. The ceiling light was too close to the ladder and as adults in our 60s were unable to climb up and get around that light to use the upper bed. We had intended to sleep on the bottoms of the two single bunks. Please update your picture on the website with accurate sleeping arrangements. I know this is a cabin in the woods and there are spiders everywhere, but on the windows looking over the deck there were a lot of cobwebs everywhere. Please clean those up. It made us wonder how well the cabin is cleaned when something so obvious is missed. No one wants to have spiders crawling over them. The kitchen was well stocked with adequate plates, pans, cooking utensils, and silverware. Enjoyed watching the birds on the bird feeders. Nice touch.
