Stayed 3 nights

We arrived on a Saturday and notified the repair department that two lights were out over the bathroom sink and we had no hot water in the kitchen, bathroom sink and shower. The next day the two lights were replaced but the installer must have nicked a wire or something because then everything in the bedroom and bathroom kept blinking on and off. Fortunately the AC was on a different circuit. We used our cell phones for lights. Finally all the electricity on the second floor went off. The next day, a man came and fixed the electric. The water heater was out so that was replaced on Monday, the day before we left. That only gives hot water in the shower. There is never any hot water in the bathroom sink or kitchen sink. I asked the owners if they’d give us a discount for all the inconvenience but they instead offered a discount on a future stay. Needless to say, we wouldn’t be going back. The area is pretty walkable and safe feeling. It’s strange because you’ll see one beautiful remodeled building right next to a broken down, neglected building. I didn’t enjoy the constant pressuring of all the craft sellers and restaurant people trying to get you to come into their store and restaurant. It was annoying. Traffic is crazy busy. We didn’t get into the pool. It had a lot of missing tiles. The building is open to the sky above so when it rains, the floors become very wet around the pool and in the “lobby” area. They try to clean up but it rained a lot.

The housekeeping staff were wonderful. The pool was fabulous with the Panamanian heat. You can not ask for a better location, clean safe.

Stayed 4 nights

It is amazing how this antique building has been completely transformed into up to date apartments. The location is Casco Viejo is perfect for people who enjoy roof top bars and activities. The apartment is small, but cute and clean. It has double security doors, so that you feel extra safe. The pool is also small, but deep enough that you can tread water for hours. This apartment is perfect for 2-4 small people who plan to spend most of their time doing excursions. The check in process is seamless. Washer/dryer is free. Shampoo, body wash, towels, basic kitchen supplies are are provided. Bring your own hair conditioner. I could have used another blanket on the bed, but that is minor. Overall, a good value for the money.
