Bear Den - Adirondack Retreat + Lake Access

The cabin was perfect for our girls trip. Beautiful area and the hosts were great. Would highly recommend.

Nice home, small bedrooms for our needs with a toddler. Gas grill was left very dirty when we got there. Baking sheets need to be cleaned better or need new ones. I know they are hard to keep clean

We stayed at the Bear Den when we dropped our daughter off at college. Since it was her first year, we decided to take some family time before we said goodbye.. it was a nice, cozy place to stay, and the kids loved the ability to head to the beach each day. We also enjoyed being able to see and hear the wild life daily. We very much appreciated the provided bathroom items...since we were traveling from the west coast, it was nearly impossible to have shampoo, conditioner, and soap on hand (and our flight was delayed, so we didn't get in until after 11pm), so having it there for us the first morning was wonderful! There are only a few suggestions that I would have for making it even better... There were multiple coffee makers, including a keurig, but no pods provided. Again, as we got in so late, it meant no opportunity to pick up anything before the next day. It would have been nice to have at least a few pods on hand to start our vacation with. The beds were incredibly firm. This, of course, comes down to personal preference, but we all were a bit stiff by the end of the trip. My husband actually looked to see if something had happened to the mattress and thought that maybe we'd only been left with the box springs. I thought he was over reacting a bit, but they were VERY firm, and not very comfortable. Aside from that, it was a wonderful trip, Sarah and TJ were great with communications, and the cabin was clean and ready to go when we got there.

The property was clean and well stocked and the owners were responsive and helpful. I was a bit disappointed by the location and the state of the furniture (well-used and in need of replacement.) It was not comfortable (mattresses included.) Overall a positive experience and we were appreciative of all the positives but I didn’t find it particularly comfortable. Maybe better for a family with young children.

The home was clean and perfect for a little weekend stay. Everything was as described and the area was amazing.
