Cozy Mountain Retreat in Stowe

Wi-Fi signal was week I had to use a hotspot. No info on accessing pool and spa. Hot tub wasn’t working and we weren’t informed of this before arrival.

Great location with ample room for a family get away. Communication was great with owner. We had a great time at the pool.

Clean, comfortable and convenient to ski area, shopping, restaurants and other activities. Pool, hot tub sauna and exercise building less than two minute walk.

We had a great time here. The place had everything we needed. The location worked out well for us for our ski trip. We loved downtown Stowe and being able to walk to the Alchemist. The one complaint was the gym. There were only two working machines.

Overall our stay was good. Frustrated that we were not told the pool would be closed until we were already on our way. They did disclose about the PFAS in the water, but I still wouldn’t recommend staying here with kids, especially if formula feeding. I ended up throwing away the bottles I put in the dishwasher because I was concerned about the PFAS. Towels were very small and scratchy. We were only there for two days so we made it work, and the problems we encountered were small, but when they all added up it made me not want to book this spot again.

found a letter after a day stating that the water was not safe to drink. This was not disclosed in the listing.Parking was an issue. The parking lot at this location was closed.they did not give the code to give access to the Hot Tub and pool area. NOT HAPPY !!!

Location was perfect for skiing. A short (although hilly) walk to the free shuttle to Stowe. The walk down was easy, but was a bit more of a challenge on the return uphill leg after a day of skiing. Plenty of space and good for kids. Loved the bunkroom! Pool was not accessible without keycards, and no keywords were available for unit. Don't plan on pool or hot tub access!

Great property for our family visiting Stowe for a ski trip. The kids loved the pool and we loved the condo’s convenience to everything Stowe had to offer. Host communication was great and everything went smoothly. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was good overall. The pool building was closed and there were a lot of construction trucks on site. Those informations was told after we booked and paid the rental so it was disapointing. The dishes were dirty, we had to wash every piece before using it. We appreciate the location and calm on site.

This place was ideal for our stay. It was clean and the manager was very responsive to any questions. The bunk room was perfect for our group!

Great location but unit needs thorough deep cleaning, updated WiFi, new outlets as plugs fall out of current outlets, updated lighting, thermostat to gas logs was hard to cut on. We had to clean the fan, wash pots and pans before we could use them.

Great price for nice 2 bed/2 bath condo. Very clean and everything needed was provided. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean home. Comfortable mattress (memory foam). Easy in and out to the unit even with clunky ski boots on. The pool is heated and just across the parking lot. They provided some extras like laundry soap for the in-home washer dryer. Easy check in and check out with no surprises. The gas fireplace is also a great touch. Would definitely stay here again!

Location is great, not too far from Stowe. Close to town. Unit is dated, but spacious.WHERE THINGS GO OFF THE RAILS - 1. The water is not potable - there is a sign on the door that you should not drink or cook with the water. Don't let kids swallow it. You need to go across the street to get your water, but they have an office water dispenser in the unit unplugged and not setup along with full water jugs. Texting Vacasa support nobody knows if you can use it. THE LISTING DID NOT DISCLOSE THIS - I would have thought twice about booking.2. Mice Droppings in the kitchen cabinet all over the place and on bowls and dishes. Contacted Vacasa support because this is a VT health code violation. They said it would be cleaned up since droppings can transmit Hantavirus. Nobody every came to clean it up. Multiple chat conversations with support and never received a call from the local property management team ever! 3. Washer/Dryer Not working NOT even connected - When we go skiing we specifically look for units with washer dryer to avoid bringing a ton of clothes. It's a critical feature. I understand things break occasionally and keeping a listing up to date is difficult, BUT when the machine is completely disconnected that should be disclosed. It's not an unforeseen surprise. I thought maybe the water was turned off to the unit which I turned on and quickly found myself in a large puddle of water. No warnings or note on the unit. The exhaust vent wasn't connected either.

Nice location, close to town, breweries, mountain. Condo was clean and sunny.

First, the condo itself was really nice, well appointed, clean and nicely located. But we had an issue with the promised Internet, which was very weak and intermittent. When help was contacted, direct questions were not answered and no solution was offered. Eventually some financial compensation was offered. It turns out that we were not interacting with the owner or the local resort that the condo was part of, but a 3rd party management corporation. This was much less satisfactory than our previous experiences with similar condos that were managed by the resort. A couple of other minor issues also resulted in a similar lack of response. We would not knowingly rent from this management group again.

This condo was perfect for our family of 6! Our kids loved the bunk room and the bed in the master suite was super comfortable. Great views of the mountains, across the parking lot from the pool, close to town, walk to the Alchemist brewery. Plenty of seating at kitchen table and on large comfy couch. Plenty of extra blankets and towels. Only complaint was that there weren’t any coffee filters and WiFi signal was weak, but those were very minor issues.

We have stayed at this resort many times. This room (G313) was not the best. Very dated decor, lights and outlets in two bedrooms did not work, bathrooms out dated. Overall good value for price and good location, but this unit was meh.

The condo was nice and as described. I would note that we stayed there in June during a heat wave and the AC was not adequate to cool the bedrooms but it might be in normal temps. Also, there was a legal notice saying that the water was not drinkable but that drinkable water was available in the pool area but it was not.

This condo is as advertised… beds are really comfortable. It’s not luxury for sure, but the location is good and we were very comfortable.

Great location (across the street from Alchemist brewery, right by the rec path, close to the Trapp property, close to restaurants). Clean home. Could improve on communication for the pool access and being made aware that the water is not drinkable (the pool across from the building has a water cooler you can use). Bedrooms don’t have AC so they were hot during the 80 degree days. Otherwise, we were satisfied.

The Mountainside Resort had condos that were probably from the 1970s. The AC was not turned on when we got there so it was very hot inside. The condo had only one Window type AC in the living room, which took all night to even cool the condo to a tolerable temperature. Water pressure in the tubs was virtually non-existent. Took 15 minutes to get warm water and then the water pressure turned to just a trickle. Not very happy with this condo.

Great views, easy access, and check in.

While the location is great, we received very disappointing service. Our fireplace was broken and it took more than 30hours fo get them to reach out to get help. Dishwasher is broken and doesn’t clean the dishes. We also didn’t know the place found E COLI in their water until we checked in. Honestly shocked they wouldn’t give us a refund

The home was easy to find and check in. It’s walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The view is pretty from the deck and front. Communication with our host was quick.

We had a great long weekend trip to Stowe. Was excited to see some snow in the forecast and be able to sit by the fireplace but when we checked in there was a red note taped to the fireplace saying “leaking gas valve”. Obviously we didn’t try to use it and reached immediately out to Vacasa for an update. They didn’t have one and said they would get back to us. Two days in to our trip I asked again if the fireplace would be fixed during our stay and they said no, offering a very small refund for our inconvenience. They also made note to say they do inspections prior to a visitors check in but clearly that didn’t happen in this instance. It was very disappointing to not be able to use this amenity during our stay as it is a winter time rental and something we looked for when booking our weekend vacation. The condo was very clean and fully stocked outside of the fireplace issue we had a nice time.

It was our first trip to Stowe and it did not disappoint. Leslie was an amazing host and provided so much great info about restaurants, hikes, and other sites to see. Her place is located to so many fun activities. We are already planning our next trip!!

No potable water. We were told we could come get water at business office or the pool area. Business office was closed. Pool site RAN OUT OF WATER. Tried communicating to Vasca the management company who just responded with computer generated messages. No water was ever provided to us. Completely unacceptable in every way. Tennis courts are unplayable- they have huge cracks and weeds growing out of them.

Was easy to check in and close to a lot of Stowe area.

Perfect spot if you’re into beer and walking. The condo was a great size for us and our two kids. They each got a top bunk. We were in a great location to do stuff in the area like the Stowe gondola and Umiak kayaking. And we were just up the hill from the Alchemist and other great beer and food. Only drawback was the water situation-I called to have it replaced and found two guys emptying the jugs. We just bought our own water.
