Mt Dora Couple's Retreat w/ Shared Pool!

Host was not friendly or considerate at all. I don’t recommend this place

I loved this little cottage. Perfect size for a couple looking for a quick stay in Mt Dora. Host was incredibly nice and quick with communication.

Yes, the cottage had everything that we needed. Everything went well and we’re planning on coming back.

We had no problem with checking in and communicating with the owner. The building was clean and stocked. The problem started when a local raccoon came to the property. I contacted the owner she was aware of the issue. We picked up the cat food that was left outside that he was going after. We shooed him away 4 times. Finally I went inside. He came and put his feet in the pool. He walked around the building we were in after sitting on the deck and doing a little grooming. He would not leave. I was not happy. We wanted to grill outside and eat dinner. We could NOT!! We paid for the use of the items described in the listing grill, pool and patio. We were unable to use the amenities offered.After my text with the owner she came home and looked around. She did not come to check on us or communicate via text. At that time I decided we would not come to a good resolution. My husband went outside to talk to her. She said there was nothing she could do. She couldn’t afford to have the raccoon trapped and relocated. She said he was harmless and put out another bowl of cat food for her cats on the property. At which time I contacted VRBO and inquired about a refund. We loved the cats! They were wonderful and welcoming. Unfortunately they like to eat outside and that invites unwanted guests. Before we arrived the owner knew of the situation we were not notified of this before we arrived. I would have asked for a refund and not entered the property.
