Cozy 1Bed/1Bath-near Disneyland-beach-Patio

May be okay for 1 night. Has potential, but owner would have to update a few things first. Daughter and I stayed 6 nights. Highlights: 2 powerful AC's, well needed in the end of July, and 2 huge TVs. But that's about it with positive. Bathroom: Some mold in cracks, no wonder, has no fan or any way to get rid of the steam after taking a shower. Also, after taking #2 you can't eliminate the odor, only a small window, where the brutal heat will push air in but not let out. No hooks for towels, no shower soap provided (only hair wash) but why? Had to drive to buy some first, smh. The toilet bowl seemed to be only for dwarfs, not for men. Literally, my men parts were touching the bottom, touching the water when I had to sit on there, gross. Living room / kitchen area: No blinds on the window, makes you feel a bit uncomfortable privacy wise. Lightning was poor. No indirect light underneath cabinets, only one extremely bright light on sealing, and 1 light above the couch reflecting in the TV. Bedroom: No door separating from Living room / kitchen, just an opening. Couldn't watch a movie while my daughter was already in bed, or make any noise / light. At night you were running into corner of bed every time trying to find light switch somewhere in the room. No room darkening curtains, bright as hell in the am. House is a duplex with thin walls, often woke up at 7am hearing people talk. Annoying. Own parking spot great, but bunch of sick looking cats around from neighbor, in cages.

Overall stay was good, area/neighborhood was good a lot of little parks nearby that worked out for our family perfectly. A good place for someone who wants to cook/bbq while on vacation.

The stay was great. They had coffee there and condiments. Could use use a little attention to cleanliness, but great quiet neighborhood.

I try to give owners the benefit of the doubt but from the moment we got to this property it was a disaster. I don't normally write reviews like this but please think twice about staying here. The neighbor's cats or a bunch of feral cats lived in the courtyard. So every time we got to the rental or stepped outside we were welcomed by a bunch of nasty unkept cats. There was cat hair everywhere. We had to clean up cat poop because it was stinking up the front and attracting flies. Everything was run down (not as pictured). Cobwebs, dirt, and cat hair at every turn. The washer and dryer were disgusting and moldy. The neighborhood was sketchy and the property was just unkept. (Turns out the owners don't live in California, yeah no kidding) Once inside it only got worse. The bathroom was moldy. The main bedroom smelled like mold and the rug was soaked when we got there. Turns out the AC in that same room leaks water, so we never turned it on. The floor boards and wall have noticeable water and mold damage. The floors were not clean. The pull out couch was dirty when we pulled it out for use. The fridge was not cleaned out and was nasty. The list goes on and on. It was so bad that we searched for an alternative stay the first night. Unfortunately, we never found one. Please avoid this property like the plague unless you want a plague on your vacation.

Just enough space and a great place to come back to after a long day of walking. We used it as a home base for weekend getaway.
