Nice family home, great host

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. Very comfortable and nicely furnished, fabulous deck, massive backyard. It’s also in a great spot with a short under 10 min walk to the most peaceful beach. Loved it and hope to come back again one day. Thank you!

Pros: The location was great, walkable to a local beach. Great outdoor patio. Good hotwater system. House was clean and well maintained. Internet was strong but weak out on the patio. Weber BBQ was clean and in good order. Cons: House was smaller than expected (wide angle lenses in listing photos) TV reception was constantly dropping signal. Has a settop box receiver than always needed fiddling to get get signal. Settop remote never worked, had to manually change channels (no instructions provided). Cook top was induction and there were only 2 induction pots that were suitable. All other pots did not work with the cooktop. Weber BBQ, but no tongs, but has a flipper utensil only. Was advised there was a room on ground floor, but all rooms were upstairs (elderly parents struggled with the stairs) Advised there were fans in all rooms, no fans in the house were found. Owner offered to supply fans through email communication , but never delivered as promised.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! There was some confusion with the key code but host was available via phone on first ring to assist (suggest noting their number down before arriving as mobile coverage caused us to be stuck for a while with slow connection to log in and access their number). House was as advertised. Everything we needed and expected was available, nothing required heavy cleaning before use. Designed for families with young kids inclusive as I felt safe for my toddler to run around the back and the rest of house as there were gates and fences that would stop them from accessing anywhere unsafe. It's definitely a wonderful home away from home, in an excellent location. Will be saving this as favourite for returning for future visits to the island!

A family of 6 adults celebrating a 60th birthday enjoyed a lovely long weekend at this well presented accommodation. Communication and check in was seamless, Mathijs communicated with timely emails from the time of booking; we did not need to contact him because everything was well catered for. A fully fenced back yard meant our pooch was secure, whilst we enjoyed sitting out on the undercover deck watching the visiting kookaburras (the hammock was well used). The induction cooktop took a bit of getting used to (make sure you use the correct pots). The lounge area has comfortable couches and the dining area seats 8; we all agreed the beds were comfortable and we all slept well. I would imagine the bedrooms which are all situated upstairs, getting warm in Summer, and there are no fly screens on any windows however there is a central air conditioner in the upstairs sitting area (as well as downstairs) that works very well. We would happily stay here again. Thank you Mathijs for your wonderful hospitality
