Ocean Villager Lovely Beachfront Property

Everything seemed to be going really smoothly, including the check-in. Upon arriving at the unit rental, D we found the conditions of the unit D unacceptable. The kitchen was filthy with crumbs, dirty coffee, pot, dirty dishes in the cabinets. The outside of the refrigerator door was dirty with smudges and sticky substance poured down the front. The bathroom sink was not clean. There was old toothpaste spit in the sink and handles for the faucet were dirty. There was a dead spider in the bathtub along with soap scum, the window sill had dead bugs all over it. The air conditioning return had black grimy mold on the vent. The entire unit smelled of musty, mildew, and mold.We called Vrbo and they tried to get in touch with the owner that night and could not so we left. The next morning the owner responded and stated they could have the rental clean and we could check in the next day. Once again inexcusable, the owner had stated she had the cleaning company clean it and that she had checked it and it was clean. I don’t know what her standards are but my pictures show the real condition of the unit! It really made me sad and stressed me out because it was my 65th birthday and I just wanted to spend it on the beach

The host good communication and some of the amenities needed to be updated.Great location on the beach!!

Not being able to watch TV for the first day there because batteries in remote was no good, Overall our stay was very pleasant, peaceful & relaxing.

We had a great stay! Everything was clean. We enjoyed the turtle sightings, night beach walks, and the restaurants around town. It would be nice to have a couple beach tents available, if possible for guests. We found Melbourne Beach to be a great spot and this rental to be accommodating.
