Zen2- Adorable Tiny Home in Davis! Pet Friendly! A/C

Zen Too was a beautiful tiny house that was perfect for us and our dog. The stairs upstairs are very steep, too steep for our dog to manage by herself safely, but the entire space was amazing. Everything is set up perfectly and they had all the necessities (kitchen appliances, grilling equipment, etc). If you don’t like going upstairs, the pull out couch on the main floor is perfectly comfortable, that’s where we slept with our pup. The property is a short drive from downtown Davis and Thomas, which are adorable, and from several beautiful hikes. 10/10 recommend!!

My husband and I came up with our 3 mo daughter for a last minute ski trip and had such a wonderful stay in this adorable tiny house. The house didn’t feel tiny at all and was very well decorated and laid out. It is walkable to town, but felt very private! Bonus, there is a fenced in back yard for your furry friends! Although we found the house to be a perfect fit, I will say the stairs up to the loft are very steep and narrow, so I wouldn’t recommend for an elderly couple or young toddlers, but otherwise it’s terrific! Thanks for such a lovely weekend!

Enjoyed the stay. The steps to the 3rd floor were a bit more difficult than we thought they would be. The pictures do not show a true size for any shot. The inside was clean, but out back, there was some overgrowth around thr glider. Definitely a cooler temp place as the AC would never cool the top floor in the heat. At night, we just opened up everything to cool it down, and being Fall, that worked well.We did enjoy the visit. I was very quiet and relaxing.

I took a 3 day motorcycle trip to the VRBO and the views on the way were amazing. Got into town and loaded up on some groceries and settled into the small beautiful industrial home. This property is my dream home. Edison bulbs, beautiful balcony, fire pit, windows that open for a breakfast bar, etc. it’s simply amazing. Neighbors are friendly and I didn’t feel uncomfortable leaving my motorcycle out front the house. The views, trails and peace and quiet are nothing short of amazing. I plan on coming back to this property in the winter.The property management company was so easy to work with, polite and very responsive. As for the cleanliness, place was spotless when I entered. Again, cannot wait to return!

This is the cutest place! The best way to describe it is fun, and it was very pet friendly with a fenced in yard. Great location…walkable to coffee, breweries and restaurants. Very close to Blackwater Falls and Canaan as well as the Purple Fiddle in Thomas. Great stay- absolutely love it and exploring the area. Great outdoor space too! West Virginia is beautiful! Heads up- very steep staircase to loft bed. Totally durable but steep

This small house is awesome. You can walk to most everything in Davis. We loved exploring Blackwater Falls State Park and Dolly Sods. The place has greats views of the sunrise from the top deck.

Found we are not fans of tiny house way too cramped inside. For a pet friendly house the steps to bedroom was not accessible for dog. Our dog sleeps with us so we all had to sleep on fold out bed. Dog could get up steps but too high and skinny for him to get back down. Took us quite a while to get him downstairs he was scared. We only stayed 1 night left next morning. Nice yard outside. Tiny house steps too dangerous. Be nice to have stairs from upstairs outside deck to main floor outside deck. Very hot upstairs which didnt affect us since we had to sleep on main floor. Window AC too noisy on main floor. So many decorations everywhere in house seemed more cramped.

We enjoyed our stay at the Zen Too. We loved all the attention to detail and the industrial decor. It was unique and eclectic! Your tiny house offered a well stocked kitchen for cooking and we used the grill daily. The use of outdoor space really didn’t make you feel like you were short for space! We enjoyed evening bonfires in the yard while enjoying cocktails. Although the house is in a neighborhood, it was quiet and peaceful! Hiked, explored and really relaxed!

We had a wonderful mini vacation staying at the tiny home. The house had everything we needed. The neighbors were very friendly. The weather was perfect. It was nice to be able to seat on the deck and have coffee.

I will stay here again. Better than I was hoping for. Everything was perfect from communication ,,checking in and the friendly hous keeper. The patios were my favorite part of the property and the comfy bed.

We enjoyed our time at this property; there are many small details really well thought out that make it nice to stay here. This is an unusual and fun space! However, the shower is uncomfortable to use as there is no door so you are cold unless standing directly under the water. The towels and sheets smelled musty, rusty, and unclean. Upstairs there are several windows that have no blinds/curtains so you cannot sleep past when the sun rises.

This tiny house is cozy and artistic, the surrounding neighborhood is not the nicest, but it is close to many of the local attractions (Blackwater Falls State Park, Canaan Valley Resort etc.). There was dust and pet hair everywhere including on the countertops and dishes when we arrived. Also there are no curtains on the main floor, which would be nice to have for some privacy given the closeness of the surrounding homes. It snowed while we were there and the property manager came to clear the walkways and stairs, which was nice.

We came there to hike. perfect location! area quiet and towns quaint. The Kitchen was very nice but I only need microwave and coffee maker. we didn't use the outside areas much as we were only there for short periods during the day. The bathroom is amazing! The upstairs was very nice and we loved the balcony. getting there is an issue. The problem for us was the living space. We were there in the fall. It's cold. We needed inside seating. It appears to have that however the chair provided was nice to look at but so uncomfortable it could only be sat in for short periods. The Futon had the same issue so essentially when we were there the seating was basically non existent. The steps are so steep and i am short I could not get up them even with the side steps.These are very unsafe during the night. slept on the futon which was essentially a thick board with an egg-crate. After 2 nights It had become unmanageable. despite planning for a rain day with wine and cheese that could not happen as there was no place to sit so we ended up leaving a day early to avoid another miserable night. The light in some areas didn't work and the information regarding check out was wrong. I called the number provided and was told someone would get back to us but we never heard anything. To check out put linen in washer and dishes in dishwasher but this unit has neither of these things. The book in the unit should be accurate and not generic.

A cute place with lots of character. The stairs to get to the top level were challenging for adults, and our dog was not able to make it without assistance.

We brought our dog and she loved it too, it worked well with the fenced-in yard. Only thing to note (not a detractor): the stairs to the up-top bedroom are STEEP. Our dog couldn't navigate (she's a young lab), so we used the pull-out couch. The views from the top were worth it, though! I highly recommend!

We stayed here in the middle of the summer. Overall it was an ok place but there were pros and cons. Some of the pros: It was close proximity to everything we wanted. It’s exactly as listed, a tiny house. Anything you would need is in there, except they didn’t have any boards games. There is a fenced in yard if you have a dog. The property company sent a nice check in letter. Couple things to keep in mind for the cons: There is a window A/C. It’s not central air. The upstairs bedroom got extremely hot even with the A/C running for 24 hours. The other thing is we brought our golden retriever and the steps were way to steep for her going up and down them. I even had a hard time with it as a grown adult. One of the chairs outside was broke as well. I don’t know this for a fact, but I believe this listing shares the WiFi with another listing the company owns. It kept dropping with 1-2 bars. I looked around the house and couldn’t find the router. We originally booked for 2 nights, but because of all the issues we had we actually left after one night.

The stairs to the bedroom are extremely steep! We are 2 fit adults who hiked 6-7 miles each day of our stay and the most treacherous hike was up to the bedroom each evening. The only bathroom is on the main floor. I do not think the description gives you a good idea how steep these stairs are. We would not stay here again.

We had a great experience! Communication with the realty company and check in was excellent. The house is super cute and stocked with everything you will need. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our dog. The only drawback was the steepness of the stairs to the loft. If you can’t carry your dog up the stairs he will not be able to make it up there. Also, the location was perfect!

Check in process was very easy as you were able to self checkin through the keypad on the door. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need including condiments and a range of spices and supplies in the fridge & pantry. The stairs to the loft are VERY steep, just a heads up. Manageable for any reasonably active person but just an FYI if you’re bringing a dog and you have them sleeping upstairs with you, you may need to spot them going down/up since the stairs are very tall and very steep. The backyard is fenced in which is amazing if you have a dog that loves fetch like mine. Some (very small) drawbacks - The TV has very limited channels and the wifi and service in general is very spotty, so be prepared to be fully out of range or have very little access to internet for your stay. The town of Davis is walking distance which is very nice and the town of Thomas is 5-10 min to the north with I highly recommend you check out as well.

We went hiking at Spruce Knob, Seneca Rock, Blackwater Falls, Dolly Sods and took a scenic train ride in Elkins. Many restaurants and shopping in Davis and nearby Thomas. A couple areas for improvements are the stairs going to the bedroom and seating in the den. We really enjoyed the property and had a great trip.

This property is overwhelmingly thoughtful, efficient and just lovely! The owner has an incredible eye for detail. For a few days stay, you will lack for nothing at all. The realty company in charge of the property was terrific (we called in case we might need to stay longer. Thanks spring snow storm!) The stairs were STEEP! But the extra tread was a terrific workaround. I only add it to say, be ready. We really enjoyed our stay, and should we ever need accommodations in Davis again, this will be the first place I look.

While my stay was very nice, the network information provided to me by the property manager was inaccurate. I attempted to contact the property management company but went straight to voicemail…I did not receive a response…disappointing…

The door was left unlocked to the property after cleaning. I was travelling by myself and showed up at 10pm. After calling the property and telling them, they dismissed it and did not send anyone to walk the house with me. Thankfully, I had a co-worker staying relatively close who came out to walk the property in case of intruders.

Absolutely amazing little house! Was great to hang out in, had all amenities we needed, and just a quick walk to shopping and food. Stairs to bedroom are steep but we managed without issue. Would love to book this place again!

The location was perfect for our short ski getaway. The yard was awesome for our dog. Sunrise view from bedroom are beautiful.

We had such a great time exploring around the Davis area and the quick bike to the mountain bike trailheads was icing on the cake. Meticulous attention to detail across the whole property. Definitely plan on returning.
