Great communication; cozy, rustic and spotless treehouse off the beaten path. Good restaurants in the area. Great antique and consignment finds within 30 minutes. Next time, we'll go when it's warmer out! Thanks again!

The treehouse was great! It is as pictured, clean, small. The fireplace was connected to the thermostat which I thought was really cool. We got to see the animals on property which was an extra treat. There was a lot of extra spices, oils, water, coffee that we could use. Waking up with the windows all around and then going out on the balcony was so peaceful and nice. The only thing is the compost toilet smelled. We were there for one night and by the next day it smelled even putting the lid down and closing the bathroom door. There is a window we could’ve opened. Im not sure if they clean it out everyday? The area is a little out there but we didn’t mind since we were already driving around. Overall great experience and would stay here again.

I honestly don’t know where the 9/10 ratings came from, but I can say for certain that it was not here. While I understand a functioning farm, this was not the Yellowstone. The eco-friendly toilet is nothing short of a construction bucket with a bag, definitely not the “charming” outdoor experience I was hoping for. While you think you are saving the planet with this eco-friendly indoor outhouse, this makeshift urine disposal system consists of a sawed-off pipe sending urine outside the back of the cabin, which I’m sure is a great feature if you’re into rustic plumbing, but not ideal for a relaxing stay. The overwhelming urine smell near the back of the cabin certainly didn’t add to the ambiance. The 1800s called, they want their chamber pot back! Then there’s the so-called “kitchen amenities.” Styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery are not what I would consider “dishes.” The more than half-empty, murky water jug left a lot to be desired. Black mold in the air conditioning unit, thick dust, and old used oils/spices in the single cabinet, combined with cleaning supplies under the sink that clearly hadn’t been touched, I’m not sure what housekeeping was actually doing. The half-used toiletries in the kitchen/bathroom gave it more of a homeless shelter vibe than a getaway cabin. The refrigerator had frost buildup, making it virtually unusable. The stains on the couch would make a forensic team proud. The listing photos seemed to be during the cabin’s prime.

My husband and I were exploring a number of birding hotspots in the quiet corner and decided to try the treehouse. We woke to the dawn bird chorus (without any ambient road noise). Just dreamy!
