Hidden treasure in a traditional Cretan village

My family stayed in Villa Maragoudi for 6 nights for my son's wedding. The owners were extremely gracious, generous and helpful. The villa is beautiful and carefully appointed with every amenity. We loved spending time in the pool and entertaining guests and family outdoors. The neighborhood around the villa is quiet and private yet it's just a short walk to the village of Armenoi for a coffee or meal at Taverna Drosostalia, or a short drive to Kalyves for shopping and the beach. Highly recommend!

The villa was perfect for two families with plenty of space and a large, clean pool with a great bbq area. We loved being able to walk into the village in 5 minutes where there is an amazing taverna serving huge delicious meals. Also cafes and a useful mini market. The hosts go above and beyond to give you a perfect holiday. Thoroughly recommend.

This was one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. The villa is in a tiny little town where the people are lovely and welcoming. Vasi and Dinos were great hosts and made us feel like we were family. The villa itself is well appointed and beautiful and isolated from any sense of commercial tourism. The pool is perfect, every room has air conditioning and the beds are comfortable. We cannot recommend it enough!
