Walk to Old Rag | Hot Tub | Mountain Farmhouse

We rented this house for my husband’s birthday and had a group of friends join us for the weekend. The location was perfect for hiking Old Rag as you could walk to the trailhead from the house, and the house itself was great for a group, we had plenty of space to spread out, both inside and outdoors. We especially loved the outdoor areas for hanging out after the long hike. It didn’t hurt that the surrounding area was beautiful to look at. The owner was incredibly responsive throughout the stay and quick to answer any questions we had. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend and we’d absolutely stay again.

Absolutely fabulous home! Stayed two nights with 8 friends for a ladies weekend and had a wonderful experience. The house is situated beautifully, well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, and had extremely comfortable beds. We loved being so close to the Old Rag trailhead, and also got to enjoy the local area as well. Elena (host) was extremely responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Nice, peaceful farmhouse with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Close to vineyards and quaint villages with great restaurants, however the best thing about it is its proximity to the Old Rag Mountain trailhead. If you're planning to do that hike, this home is just a short walk to the trailhead so you won't have to worry about the parking issues, and after the hike, the hot tub on the home's deck is heavenly! Wonderful place for a wonderful get away!

This property was the perfect size for my family and location is just awesome. We loved the authentic feel of the home and enjoyed the grounds very much.

A 15 minute walk from the Old Rag trailhead, this location is perfect for a medium to large group planning on completing this hike. About 20 minutes from Sperryville, then another 20 or so to Skyline Drive to see the rest of the park. Our group loved the outdoor ping pong, fire pit, and hot tub. The skys are full of stars, each evening here was an enjoyable and relaxing time. Inside sleeps a large group very comfortably, large kitchen and 2 showers with good hot water. The main TV room was perfect for watching football. The whole group was very satisfied with our stay, this property did not disappoint!
