This place truly felt like home; like I was staying at a relatives home who thought of everything I might need. Not only was there everything from seasonings to shampoos, but there was complimentary snacks, champagne, and even fresh eggs! I was tickled about the eggs, the fire, the cozy fur pelt to snuggle with, and the really fluffy comfy bedding. It was more than I expected!

Loved this property, everything inside the house was immaculate but homey. We also enjoyed the deck and the bbq and the views and sounds of wildlife made our stay very relaxing. We will definitely be back!

I was in town to visit my brother and his family, so I didn’t spend much time onsite to maximize all the amenities; however, this was the best stocked places I have ever stayed. The host had coffee, tea, hot chocolate and all the extras to make the best hot beverage. She also had a cabinet with non-perishables available in case needed. There were eggs from their chickens available in the fridge. They had games, birdwatching guides, and lots of local recommendations for your visit. Very cozy place with lots of touches to make your time here relaxing. Outdoor seating was available. Would recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful spot to unwind.

This is a roomy, perfectly appointed house that feels independent from the nearby house. Appliances, controls, Internet were all flawless. We have a toddler so I needed to elevate some things he could reach for. We did need to protect him from getting his head stick between mattress and window sill which was easy to do with the extra pillows. It is situated in orchards and overlooks a several-acre wetland with plenty of birds. There was a turkey gang when we arrived but I never spotted those again.

Everything was just as pictured and presented! Relaxing, comfortable space. Plenty of equipment to fix gourmet meals, with many staple ingredients available right in the cupboards. Easy space in which to work on meal prep and connect with family lounging on comfy sofa, watching movies. Nice gas fireplace that warmed up the whole place right away. Claw foot tub: perfect for soaking in Epson salt while reading my favorite book and sipping wine. Bright and welcoming home away from home. Love the small-town shops that are only about 10 minutes away. The furnishings and extras make this home a wonderful place to relax and revitalize. Plan to make repeat stays during different seasons.

This place is perfect! The owners have astounding attention to details. Cozy beds with nice linens awaited us after a day exploring the area! Amazing coffee bar greeted us each morning (and sometimes in the afternoon)! Enjoyed sitting on the back deck to watch the many birds living on the sanctuary. They even provided binoculars and books to help identify the many different birds around. Kitchen was set up with everything we needed to make our dinners at night. Stayed here a few years ago when we dropped our daughter off at OSU, stay again for a visit and this trip was to attend her graduation. Hoping something in the future will bring us back this way again. BEST place we have ever stayed!!

We cannot say enough about our stay. We came for a weekend of college baseball and bird watching and both were a total success. The house is beautiful, clean and exactly as shown online. The attention to detail and little extras (coffee syrups, snacks, binoculars, makeup pad removers) really put this above most other rentals we have stayed at. It is located on the most beautiful wildlife preserve with a deck overlooking a lake filled with wildlife. We saw baby geese, bald eagles trying to catch breakfast, wild turkeys, coyotes, deer, and so much more. We cannot wait to be back!

Our stay was exactly what we needed - a peaceful getaway not far from shopping and activities. It was a wonderful experience in a beautiful home. Kitchen had more than most - Keurig, slow cooker, Instant Pot, even an immersion blender, and was thoughtfully stocked with all coffee supplies including sugar, creamer, and coffee syrups, oatmeal, and plenty of spices and other cooking staples. Bathroom had all necessities, including plenty of towels, toilet paper, hair dryer and first aid supplies. The huge soaking tub was a much appreciated bonus. It snowed while we were there but we stayed warm inside due to individual thermostats in both bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen, as well as a gas fireplace in the living room. Lots of windows allowed the light to shine through. I loved it and appreciated the thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome.

Wonderfully updated home away from the hustle of the city. Great area for hiking, biking and paddling. Kitchen, bathroom, porch, and propane grill were all first rate. Comfortable beds, washer and dryer, and a great soaking tub. The longer we stayed, the more fun things we found to do!

We are so glad we chose this property for the week we were in Albany for our daughter’s wedding! The hostess is thoughtful and accommodating. It was VERY clean. The house is well maintained with quality updates. It is nicely furnished and well appointed with cozy additions like blankets on the couch, battery operated candles and a gas fireplace stove. Everything was labeled for ease of use—light switches, remote controls, etc.. Lots of games and some books stored in an accessible and tidy way. The expectation of us as guests was clearly presented and appreciated. We were surprised and thankful for all of the bed pillows and bedding available. Plenty of bath towels and convenient extras like shampoo, body wash, etc., Q-tips, make-up remover towelettes, and mouthwash. There were snacks provided that came in very handy more than once during our busy days. We loved the location—close to town but felt secluded. Our girls loved walking around the pond and the wild blackberries were ripe, plentiful, and tasted amazing. We were familiar with the area since we lived in Albany previously, but for those who have not, there was an abundance of information to peruse about all there is to see and do, as well as dining options nearby. My mother has stayed at several vacation rentals and she was highly impressed with this one and commented that it FAR surpassed her previous experiences. In summary, we really loved staying at this property and it exceeded our expectations.

Where do I start!!!! Planning our first trip to Oregon and this property immediately stood out. Needless to say on arrival day my family and I were overwhelmed with the beautiful property! Talk about GORGEOUS and so Peaceful! On the inside of this beautiful gem, not only was it inviting, spotless, organized and the most comfortable house we have ever been in on vacation!! My own home does not even look this good!!! My family and I were in heaven and hated to leave. Did I mention the beds and bedding were by far the best EVER! Talk about being on clouds! We can’t wait to book again next summer!!! My only regret about this property, was not booking a longer stay…..

This home is charming, clean and inviting, spacious enough for my family of four and yet cozy! The home is well equipped to make our stay comfortable . French doors offer great viewing of the lovely 15 acres. We love watching the geese and the variety of birds that make the pond their home. This is definitely one of our favorite VRBO’s and we hope to return!

This was a fantastic get away. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we could need. I love the location and we identified so many different birds in the area. And the wild turkeys visited everyday. The host did a great job with every little detail. It was quiet and peaceful and a true retreat.

We loved our stay. I’ve been in a ton of short term rentals and this was the best stocked one ever! Anything you can think of, they had. It was very clean and cozy, the grounds and views were stunning. Just a little caution if you are sensitive to noises while sleeping, the heaters click all night long. Unfortunately, we didn’t sleep well between that and the rock hard beds. The memory foam topper only does so much. We are both hurting and tired after our stay, but overall, it was a great experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at this beautiful, well stocked cottage. The only "issue" was the shower was a little tight as my husband is a bigger guy. The roads are a bit windy and can be a little confusing, so use your GPS. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Definitely recommend.

Great quiet and scenic location. The home was much more than expected from pictures/descriptions. Lots of extra touches made our stay wonderful! Great beds, claw foot soaking tub made our time luxurious. Kitchen was well equipped and stocked which was appreciated. Would stay again if in area😊

This was an amazing place. The attention to detail was amazing. The kitchen was so well appointed with condiments in the frig and staples in the pantry. There was a wonderful selection of keurig pods avaiable with syrups to add to your cup. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had lush towels and plenty of them! The claw foot bathtub was wonderful. The lighting throughout the house was well appointed. The grounds were amazing - lots of places to explore. Will be back again.

There was a wonderful selection of keurig pods avaiable with syrups to add to your cup. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had lush towels and plenty of them! The claw foot bathtub was wonderful. The lighting throughout the house was well appointed. The grounds were amazing - lots of places to explore. Will be back again.

My husband and I stayed for a week to celebrate our 20th anniversary. It was lovely. The place was clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful area. There were so many little touches that made it feel very welcoming. The only thing we’d change would be to add some sort of window covering for the front door.

Wonderfully updated home away from the hustle of the city. Great area for hiking, biking and paddling. Kitchen, bathroom, porch, and propane grill were all first rate. Comfortable beds, washer and dryer, and a great soaking tub. The longer we stayed, the more fun things we found to do!

Everything about our stay was perfect. The property was easy to find, a seamless check-in and the home is exactly as mentioned, even better, as everything is well organized, labeled, and beyond inviting. This place truly felt like home; like I was staying at a relatives home who thought of everything I might need. Not only was there everything from seasonings to shampoos, but there was complimentary snacks, champagne, and even fresh eggs! I was tickled about the eggs, the fire, the cozy fur pelt to snuggle with, and the really fluffy comfy bedding. It was more than I expected!

We are so glad we chose this property for the week we were in Albany for our daughter’s wedding! The hostess is thoughtful and accommodating. It was VERY clean. The house is well maintained with quality updates. It is nicely furnished and well appointed with cozy additions like blankets on the couch, battery operated candles and a gas fireplace stove. Everything was labeled for ease of use—light switches, remote controls, etc.. Lots of games and some books stored in an accessible and tidy way. The expectation of us as guests was clearly presented and appreciated. We were surprised and thankful for all of the bed pillows and bedding available. Plenty of bath towels and convenient extras like shampoo, body wash, etc., Q-tips, make-up remover towelettes, and mouthwash. There were snacks provided that came in very handy more than once during our busy days. We loved the location—close to town but felt secluded. Our girls loved walking around the pond and the wild blackberries were ripe, plentiful, and tasted amazing. We were familiar with the area since we lived in Albany previously, but for those who have not, there was an abundance of information to peruse about all there is to see and do, as well as dining options nearby. My mother has stayed at several vacation rentals and she was highly impressed with this one and commented that it FAR surpassed her previous experiences. In summary, we really loved staying at this property and it exceeded our expectations.

When her plug didn’t work, she went the extra mile and found a friend willing to let us use their charger. All of the little touches, like fresh eggs from her chickens & bubble bath, made the stay even more special. Plus the views from the deck were incredible! She also had a binder full of information about the region! We would stay here when we visit again.

I was in town to visit my brother and his family, so I didn’t spend much time onsite to maximize all the amenities; however, this was the best stocked places I have ever stayed. The host had coffee, tea, hot chocolate and all the extras to make the best hot beverage. She also had a cabinet with non-perishables available in case needed. There were eggs from their chickens available in the fridge. They had games, birdwatching guides, and lots of local recommendations for your visit. Very cozy place with lots of touches to make your time here relaxing. Outdoor seating was available. Would recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful spot to unwind.

Dee and Kathryn provided such a beautiful property for us when we stayed at the Anderson House. The cleanliness of the place and attention to needs of residents was astounding. They had everything and more than we could think of on our own. They provided games for us to play, speaker for us to listen to, and even children’s books our son could enjoy. When I opened the cabinet to find a complete set of toddler dishes and utensils, my toddler was so happy to see familiar dishes and get to use them on his own. The property the house sits on is so peaceful and magical. The birds, the sounds, the water, and of course the wonderful beavers. This weekend was the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy our wedding weekend festivities fully. The Anderson House is about an hour and twenty minutes from Lincoln City where we were able to introduce our son to the ocean for the first time. They provided a binder full of recommendations in the area. While we may have been super busy, I am so excited we had enough spare time to follow their recommendation. Wonderful place, except for the double booking first night - we had to sleep in our rental truck since we arrived at 2:45 am - but after that, all was great, and owner was accommodating to the mishap. Would highly recommend property to others in the area and/or visiting the Willamette Valley for wine tasting or other.

This was a fantastic get away. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we could need. I love the location and we identified so many different birds in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at this beautiful, well stocked cottage. The only "issue" was the shower was a little tight as my husband is a bigger guy. The roads are a bit windy and can be a little confusing, so use your GPS. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Definitely recommend.

The house is absolutely perfect and in a wonderful and very quiet spot. We really loved it there. We were there for three nights and would come back any time if ever in the area. The house was equipped with everything, beds are great and porch wonderful with a great view.

My husband and I had a great time at this place. Very clean. We saw turkeys and little babies and we also had a nest outside our front door with some baby birds in it. It's accessible to downtown Independence, which is very cute. Little town and you can go many places from here that are not too far. It was very relaxing and quiet. We will hopefully be back again

This lovely home had everything from coffee to Q-Tips! There was nothing that we needed that they didn’t have! I loved the layout of the home and the peaceful surroundings! We knew it was somewhat remote so we took food with us to cook. While we didn’t see many birds due to the rain, we did see some wild turkeys in the blackberry field, We visited some nearby wineries set among gorgeous rolling hills. We hope to return again!

Amazing coffee bar greeted us each morning (and sometimes in the afternoon)! Enjoyed sitting on the back deck to watch the many birds living on the sanctuary. They even provided binoculars and books to help identify the many different birds around. Kitchen was set up with everything we needed to make our dinners at night. Stayed here a few years ago when we dropped our daughter off at OSU, stay again for a visit and this trip was to attend her graduation. Hoping something in the future will bring us back this way again. BEST place we have ever stayed!!

It snowed while we were there but we stayed warm inside due to individual thermostats in both bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen, as well as a gas fireplace in the living room. It Is a pretty house as advertised. It's nice not to have shared walls all the time on vacation and beautiful nature to boot here. Hostess provided lots of extras like towels, to, k cups, fresh eggs. Down the road a bit is an excellent walking park.

Second time staying here and it was just as enjoyable. The house is so well stocked with everything you could need. And the birds were amazing including the wild turkeys that visited everyday. I’ll be back again.

Fantastic property. Great location among the orchard fields. Terrific little craftsman style property. All the kitchen appliances and utensils you need. Communication with owner was fantastic.

The kitchen was equipped with everything you could think of. Possibly could use a coffee pot but we were fine with Keurig. The bedding/blankets were over the top. All very soft and clean. Easy departure requirements. Perfect setting too.

Amenities were above all expectations!! Lovely surroundings and accommodations! It was a work trip and I shared this with the entire corporation! No more hotels! My only suggestion is for a larger or additional rug in the bath. Wildlife was audible and visible! Wild turkeys, beavers, frogs and elk bugles in the night
