Luxurious 2/2 Downtown Apartment

- NEGATIVE 5 stars - Booked property back in May 2021, 10 months ahead ( Imagine planning this so far ahead ) -Received cancelation email 15 hours before chk in ( I casually open my emails at 10 pm previous night and I read VRBO Reservation Cancellation . What if I had not checked my emails? Irresponsible is an understatement) - At 11pm I frantically get on VRBO to search for availabe properties similar in location, price, descriptions, etc ( Of course, Due to being so close to chk in, no properties were available. Interesting is that the Property than appeared as available on VRBO on similar dates that I had booked……. Bizarre! - Because it was so last minute, Without lodging accommodations for my family, I have to book a hotel last minute. Spent more than we had budgeted -I called VRBO customer service to file a complain. I told them if scenario was reversed, where traveler canceled with such short notice, Penalty would be I would be required to pay in full or 50% of stay. -Recommend VRBO penalize property owners same as they do travelers. Cancellation Policy for owners needs to be implemented just as harsh ! -On a side note, this property appears to be in a building that prohibits their units to be used for short term rentals

Stayed with friends when in Orlando for the Jimmy Buffet concert at the Amway Arena. Perfect location. Ben, the owner was very nice and super responsive. Parking was great and inexpensive. Apartment is a little rough around the edges. Generally clean, except for a dishwasher full of dirty dishes and a kitchen closet with trash on the floor. Not owner’s fault. But an eye on the cleaning crew is needed. Needs a good paint job and a coffee pot. This is not a place to stay with kids. Lots of partying sorts about, complete with vomit in the hallway not cleaned up for many hours. Rooftop pool deck area is nice, but it is where people walk their dogs and cleanup afterwards was not always done.
