The house was perfect for my husband, myself, teenage son, two young daughters (4 and 2) plus grandma and grandpa. There was plenty of space to accommodate us all. The river bank had the perfect little sandy spot for the two young ones to play, dig and splash a little while dad, son and grandpa waded and fished. Loved enjoying our morning coffee on the deck and fire pit on the concrete patio in the evenings. We loved it so much. We kept talking the whole trip how perfect the place was. Although there are neighbors, it was extremely private. The windows and view were gorgeous. Can’t say enough good things. We will be retuning for sure! Thank you Shawn and Dotti for sharing this space with us!

The property was exactly as described. Everything was clean and comfortable. The day we arrived it had snowed. Once we got there Shawn showed up and shoveled off the patio and all the stairs on the the deck. I was not expecting that. Will definitely stay again!!!

one shower was broken, one toilet clogging ( it is so bad that 1 of the 3 checkin instructions tell you where the plunger is located) no large pots, no large mixing bowls for tossing salads/pasta, no WiFi, no propane grill, charcoal grill was away from house and we needed flashlights to grill, no condiments, baggies, etc, this place is barebones, plenty of clean towels and bedding, nice TV, great deck overlooking river

Seeing this destination in person far exceeds what you think you are gonna get. The house was very cozy and quiet ,very spacious and the river was beautiful for fishing and swimming or just watching the mist roll down the river .all in all this has been my favorite stay i have booked for my family

This was a great location on the White River, was only steps away from the water. The house has many areas to sit and enjoy the view. It was very cozy and had the private feel we were looking for.

We had a wonderful stay at this riverfront home. 2 comfortable living areas, great beds. Couldn't take our eyes off the river! Low water in the morning was perfect for fly fishing. Highly recommend Cotter Trout Dock for guided fishing trips. Debbie is wonderful! The hosts Shawn and Dotti were fantastic to work with. I highly recommend this property, wouldn't hesitate to rent again when we are back in the area.

We stayed at the property for 3 days for a mini vacation/trout fishing outing. The location of this place is perfect and honestly the pictures do not do the house justice. Alarmingly clean and well taken care of. We had to cut our trip a day short due to inclement weather coming in overnight and we didn't want to be stranded there - although it is a great place to be stuck. Unfortunately it was freezing cold the whole time during our stay, but that is a risk you take booking any property in January. We will definitely be booking this house again, just during a warmer time!

The minute we opened the door, it was breathtaking. The home was very clean and comfortable, the view was spectacular, and the warm homey feeling was comforting. Directions to the home were easy to follow. Check out requirements were minimal and concise, which made leaving as easy as it could be, considering none of us wanted to leave. Thank you to our hosts for sharing this beautiful home.

Very nice and modern on the interior. Appears to have been recently renovated on the interior with all new finishes and furnishings. HVAC could use an air balance so that the lower level heats as well as the upper level. Other than that, it's perfect.

We loved everything about this cabin! The cabin itself is lovely, but the best part was that the yard goes right down into the river so we could fish and watch the boats go by all day long. It's about 15 minutes from Walmart and other town options, so it was easy enough to drive in for groceries and meals. The only caveat is that, while the cabin does have internet, we found the internet service was somewhat unreliable and was too slow to load some videos (had planned to do a little bit of work while we were there). But, it was just a nice excuse to put away the work computer and go play in the yard instead. We will definitely be back to visit this cabin again!

The house was nice, clean, and simple. Simple is a good thing if you have kids with you. The pictures do not do the place justice. Normally places we stay in, glam the pics up and it allows the house to let you down. This time however, the pictures undersold the house. When we was inside we stayed downstairs. Was a nice area to sit and watch the river, wildlife, play games, or watch tv. For the majority of the time we stayed outside and fished though. Another area where the pictures fall a little short. The scene outside is great. Lots of wildlife. Opposite side of the river is the mountains. Mostly covered in trees but you could see the rock face here and there. We came a little to early to see the leaves change color but they had started somewhat. There was a bald eagle nest above/behind us, on the property .The kids liked watching them fly in and out. The fishing area was better than I hoped for. It does slope down towards the river but then it evens out. It's flat enough that me and the kids could fish easily and I didn't have to worry about them slipping or falling in the river. Overall we had a good and relaxing time. We caught some good size trout making it a bonus. The kids asked if we could stay in the same house next time we visit. The only thing me and the wife would have like to be different was the bed we stayed in. To be fair though most people prefer their own bed.

The property view is gorgeous. Convenient as described. Plenty of room and the comforts of home. There were many fish behind the house but they were finicky (ha ha) and the water was running. We caught a few, enough to make us think we could! Shawn and Dottie are responsive and helpful. Our family loved it!

Highly recommend Cotter Trout Dock for guided fishing trips. Debbie is wonderful! The hosts Shawn and Dotti were fantastic to work with. I highly recommend this property, wouldn't hesitate to rent again when we are back in the area.

We loved everything about this cabin! The cabin itself is lovely, but the best part was that the yard goes right down into the river so we could fish and watch the boats go by all day long. It's about 15 minutes from Walmart and other town options, so it was easy enough to drive in for groceries and meals. The only caveat is that, while the cabin does have internet, we found the internet service was somewhat unreliable and was too slow to load some videos (had planned to do a little bit of work while we were there). But, it was just a nice excuse to put away the work computer and go play in the yard instead. We will definitely be back to visit this cabin again!

We had a nice little weekend trip for Christmas at this property. We ranged in ages from 13-55 and each of us had an amazing time. Perfect location for fishing, and family fun.

Clean house and comfy beds. Right on the water which was a BIG plus. Nice gathering rooms with TVs. Fire pit and barbecue grill also great additions. I would just like to add that if you are staying here, bring extra soap, cleaning supplies (because we were fishing), and kitchen towels/oven mitts if you feel you will need these items.

Seeing this destination in person far exceeds what you think you are gonna get. The house was very cozy and quiet ,very spacious and the river was beautiful for fishing and swimming or just watching the mist roll down the river .all in all this has been my favorite stay i have booked for my family

This was a great location on the White River, was only steps away from the water. The house has many areas to sit and enjoy the view. It was very cozy and had the private feel we were looking for.

We did a family gathering for this Thanksgiving, the kids and grandkids live in Germantown TN. and I am a retired New Orleans Fireman. This is probably our 4th Vrbo rental. I picked the property due to the accessibility to the water from land, when the river generators are off this is doable. Later we found out there is a public boat launch just down the street where you can also fish from land. Looking at the picture Vrbo has posted brings a smile to my face, seeing all the goodies for Thanksgiving and the grandkids enjoying the rear deck. That backyard view of the river and mountains across the way, is a Million Dollar View, bar none. On a scale of 1 to 10 it's a 20. My wife and I had morning coffee both up stairs and downstairs the morning views are spectacular. And come the afternoon you may see a Bald Eagle making a fishing trip. All places have their drawbacks, can you deal with one bar on a cell phone ? I did not open my laptop for one week, what a gift. If your looking for a comfortable family get away , you won't go wrong here. Plus they also know a Great Fishing Guide too. Later B - From New Orleans

The house is beautiful and the view is incredible. The owners were kind and responsive and had everything I needed. The area is geared heavily towards fishing, and food delivery options are basically not available, so keep that in mind when you visit. The house is right on the river, and it’s just wonderful to wake up each morning in such a beautiful place.

We had a great stay! All of the amenities we needed. My only con would be that there were not any kitchen towels. The riverfront was great! My kids thoroughly enjoyed when the river was low so they could play.

The house was super comfortable, clean and relaxing. My husband and I didn’t want to leave, but we left feeling super relaxed and rejuvenated. We look forward to going back in the near future.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed every minute. Excellent view from either floor. Well stocked with a new grill and cant say enough about Shawn Cox guide service. Year after year we have a great time and catch lots of big browns. 10 /10 would recommend this host.
