Olive Tree Rentals-Casa-Baño privado

The house is big and roomy for a large group. We had 11 people staying, ages 12 - 75 and everyone had room to spread out. It is nice that there are so many bedrooms with attached bathrooms for privacy. We especially enjoyed the living room with adjoining dining room so that we all could be in the same room even when doing separate things. The house is in the Galena Territory which has a nice club house offering basketball, swimming and a game room. There are 6 passes available to visitors. This was our second stay at this property. Unfortunately, many of the repairs needed that we noticed last year were still present this year. There are unpainted repair patches on the walls in various rooms, the fireplace cover was off, several light bulbs out, broken shelves in the fridge, both keurig machines didn't work, spots on the carpet and the whole place could use a paint job. We couldn't find a shovel when it snowed and had to improvise with dust pans to clear the walkway. It took over 36 hours for the complex to plow. The checkout list of things to do is reasonable however having to take the garbage to the dump is kind of a pain especially at this nightly rate. Overall this home works well for a large group. With a bit of TLC this home could be really nice. The screened in porch, firepit and hot tub look like they would be fun in the summertime.

We had a wonderful time at Galena Getaway! There were 10 of us, and it was such a bonus that each couple had their own room and private bathroom—so much space and comfort. The grounds and views were absolutely beautiful, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook, bake, or grill.The town of Galena was just a short 15–20 minute drive away, and when the summer heat kicked in, we loved being able to head just 4 minutes up the road to the included pool, game room, and fitness center. There’s so much to see in the area, and we truly hope to be back—we’d definitely love to stay here again!

We rented this house as a group of 5 girls with their kids ages 7-11. We loved everything about it. It was so close to the pool and basketball hoops. The house was clean and had enough space for our whole group (11people). The hot tub was clean and the we loved the big fire pit. The hosts were very quick to answer any questions and very helpful. We didn’t know Galena had so many flies and gnats, so next time we’ll bring some things to keep the bugs away. We will definitely rent this house again!

Our group of 7 had plenty of room in the house and appreciated that each bedroom had an en suite bath. We enjoyed the many games, pool table, and foosball in the house and were able to comfortably sit at the table ( with dining chairs for up to 10). We didn't use the hot tub because it was uncovered outside and the weather did not cooperate! The location is beautiful and a local taxi service was able to pick us up from the house. My only small complaint was the lack of cooking oil in the kitchen, which I would consider a basic necessity of a kitchen in a rental house.

A rainy weekend didn’t stop us from having a great time here. The kitchen had everything we needed as stated in the description. Our family of 8 adults was able to all eat and play games at the dining room table. We spent lots of time in the game room playing pool and foosball! We even used the hot tub in the rain! Everyone loved having their own bathroom with their bedroom. The owners were very responsive to all of our concerns.

This is a wonderful house. It’s spacious yet feels cozy. Plenty of room for everyone to gather on the comfy couch while enjoying the fireplace or watching a movie. The extra large dining table works great for shared meals. The kitchen is functional and well equipped. Bedrooms all have en suite baths which is a bonus. ( comfy beds too). Huge outdoor space circles around a fire pit. Hot tub is a fabulous amenity.

We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely and spacious home that has a perfect, well-decorated three season room and a clean deck with comfy furniture! Hot tub and huge fire pit were bonuses as well. Kitchen is stocked. Each room having its own bathroom was awesome! House has an open layout and is full of natural light!

Nice place, accommodates a larger group well. would recommend to anyone. Only reason for 4 stars was the hot tub control panel didn't seem to work, so no jets, or lights, or anything. I’m sure it will get fixed. Will stay here again if in the area and have a larger group!

We found a lot of bugs, which the owner said is a problem. Two of the doors did not lock.

After years of staying at the same house in The Territory, our family simply outgrew our accommodations. Searching VRBO we found a house that looked like it fit our needs, and we were correct! Pete and Laura are wonderful hosts and good communicators, the house exceeded our expectations-it was very clean, had things like plenty of pots, pans, silverware, etc and especially sharp knives (and a knife sharpener!) and the fire pit was wonderful (fire pits are one of our requirements.) Our entire family voted to return to the Getaway next year!!

We were in town to celebrate a family engagement and this house accommodated us beautifully with all en-suite bedrooms. We weren’t there much but were able to sit on the screened porch a few times and really enjoyed that.

House was beautiful spacious and perfect for a group of high school friends to hang for the weekend. We had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

We had such a great time staying at this house. The setup was perfect for 4 couples. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom which worked out great. Layout of home was great!! Loved each bathroom per bedroom. The huge table was a plus for eating and games. We’ve been getting together with this group for 25 years, first time in 22 years without kids. Probably one of our favorite homes we’ve stayed at.

My siblings and I had a wonderful stay in Galena. The house had plenty of room for the 8 of us. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the fire pit. It was only minutes away from Galena. For a larger group like ours we found it very nice to have larger beds and numerous bathrooms. Pete was very responsive to our inquiries as well.

My wife and I, our four kids and four grandkids did a ski weekend and stayed in the Galena Territories. This house was the best! Having a bathroom in each bedroom was a very nice convenience. Everyone enjoyed sitting in the spa outside with snow on the ground.The owners were friendly, easy to connect with and were are super responsive when needed! Already planning an adult golf weekend and will be back in this house if it's available!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Laura and Pete Papanicolaou's VRBO home in Galena, IL! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that they are exceptional hosts. First off, their responsiveness and hospitality were remarkable. When our coffee maker decided to quit on us, Laura and Pete didn't waste a moment. They sent their property assistant over right away with a brand new coffee maker, ensuring our mornings started off perfectly. The house itself was a dream. Spacious enough for our group of ten, it offered both comfort and elegance. We spent hours shooting pool, playing games, and gathering around the inviting bonfire. Galena itself proved to be a charming destination. We explored the quaint downtown area, indulging in local shopping and dining. The fall festival was an absolute highlight, adding an extra layer of fun and festivity to our stay. In summary, Laura and Pete's VRBO home in Galena provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable getaway with friends and family. Their attentive hosting, combined with the beauty and amenities of their property, made our stay truly unforgettable. We can't wait to return for another incredible experience!

First off the house is beautiful. We did encounter a couple of problems like the fireplace not working at first and the hot tub not being warmed ahead of time. The host took care of any difficulty we had super quickly and our overall stay was wonderful. The kitchen is well stocked, there is even a lovely little spice rack for any cooking you might do. There's also a drawer filled with different kinds of tea which I really appreciated being a tea drinker. Overall, we would be excited to stay here again.

This house was spacious and tastefully decorated. We especially loved the decorated Christmas tree and holiday decor throughout! We had a slight plumbing problem on Thanksgiving, and Pete promptly had a plumber out in less than an hour! From reservations to check in to check out, the process was flawless. We all enjoyed our stay.

We attended a grape stomping fest at Massbach Winery. Perfect location between winery & downtown Galena. Beautiful home with a bathroom for each bedroom. Kitchen was good and big dining table to fit our group. Gas grill was great. Fire pit was awesome. Would recommend!

The Galena Getaway house was a great base for our family get together. We especially liked the proximity to the Territory Club and loved using the pool. The layout of the bedrooms was great and everyone enjoyed their privacy and own bathroom. Would definitely choose this home again!

Having bathrooms for all bedrooms was so helpful. The fire pit was enjoyed by all. We were amazed & happy to see so many stars in the sky…it’s peaceful there & you feel like you’re a million miles away. The two upper decks are great for watching our guests using the large yard & fire pit area. Everythjng you need is there. So restful. Plenty to do or relaxing to do nothing.
