The place was not at all what I expected from the pictures and description. It felt like it was in a bad area, the slide door barely worked (after removing the security bar), the space was dark and very small and outdated. The kitchen was barely big enough to open the fridge door and the furniture (couch, recliner, and beds were all very small and cramped). The massaging chair was child-like sized and was ripped. The fenced yard was only on 2 sides, one of which was broken/missing pieces. It was all very cramped and I was very anxious about the neighborhood. I would not have been able to let my dogs relax and walk around to use the restroom, andi would not have been able to relax and rest during my stay.

I hate to give a bad review, but we regretted this one for multiple reasons. It doesn't actually fit 7 people, with only 3 beds and only 3 seats in living area. Broken outlet cover is an obvious safety hazard. Multiple plumbing issues during normal use. Backyard has a ditch with poison ivy, and the fence is incomplete, meaning children and pets can't run around safely. Flooring and sidewalks are uneven. The house would be difficult to fully clean due to incomplete interior trim and finish work. The host seems nice and this unit might be acceptable in a pinch with fewer people because of its lower price, but would need a lot of work before I'd recommend it.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament, and the property was even nicer than expected, and had every single accommodation we could have needed! Traveling with a teen daughter can be difficult it it was so spacious, had snacks, makeup remover, and toothbrushes that we had forgot to pack! The massage chair was incredible! Host was amazing!

I was thankful for our host. She went above and beyond in accommodating us. The booking somehow was not accurate and she came thoughtfully helped us navigate a difficult situation by allowing us to stay the night. WE WERE VERY THANKFUL. Our two dogs loved it and so did we. This is a cute little house near KU. It beats the nasty, rundown hotels in town that charge double the price and give you nothing. The place was very clean. Many items were offered - snacks, toiletries in abundance. Old fashioned in a charming and comfortable way. Good WiFi and TVs. Nice for an extended stay for a family of up to 5. I would book it again in a minute.

The area is quite a way from the main drag of Mass St. and the neighborhood was not really anywhere of interest. No judgment intended, but the property needs some work. If you just need a place to lay your head, it works. But if you want some social/entertaining space as well, I'm not sure this is the spot for you. It's also a duplex, so if there are neighbors, you will be hearing their comings and goings. We'd stay again, but not for the price.

The Internet strength, however, wasn’t sufficient to watch TV in both the living room and bedroom at the same time and after an episode of a swat team intervention, the safety of the neighborhood is questionable, but not surprising for the area.

Cute small little duplex right off of 6th Street in a quiet neighborhood. Place was clean and fully stocked with necessities needed for our trip. Check-in and check-out was painless. A little detail on under furniture cleaning needed, but nothing to contact owner about. On our next visit, will definitely book with again!

We were in town for a wedding. This unit was centrally, located and convenient to the areas of Lawrence that we needed access to. It is an older unit with doors that stick and don’t fully close. But well stocked with bathroom amenities, snacks, comfortable beds, and lots of video games!

Great proximity to mass street Ave the campus. Easy to navigate, enjoyed the breakfast and snack items. Only confusing thing was check out. Instructions said to text when checked out but i couldn't locate a number to text.

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a short drive to everything, and the rental is nestled quite nicely in its midst. It’s a duplex, but it still feels like a home, which is not an easy feat to accomplish. Major kudos to Carrie and Guy for that. It’s a great option for a great price with great hosts.

Great proximity to mass street Ave the campus. Easy to navigate, enjoyed the breakfast and snack items. Only confusing thing was check out. Instructions said to text when checked out but i couldn't locate a number to text.

We came to Lawrence to visit Kansas University. From this property we had easy access to the school, Massachusetts Ave and the state park. When the weather got cold and damp, we were very comfortable and warm inside this home. The hosts let me know the day of arrival that everything was ready for our stay. Lots of snacks were provided as part of the warm welcome. There's a great chinese noodle place within walking distance as well as a Dunkin Donuts! We really enjoyed our stay here.

This is a cute little house near KU. It beats the nasty, rundown hotels in town that charge double the price and give you nothing. The place was very clean. Many items were offered - snacks, toiletries in abundance. Old fashioned in a charming and comfortable way. Good WiFi and TVs. Nice for an extended stay for a family of up to 5. I would book it again in a minute.

The place was accurately described for the house and outside patio. We were pleasantly surprised with the inside of the house. The AC is top notch, great water pressure in the shower, and a variety of many snacks as a welcome.

Was a good place for just an overnight stay. When we booked, we thought it slept 7 because that's what the listing said. We later found out it only slept 5, so we had to leave someone home, but we worked it out. Beds were comfy and was a quiet location. Cooked breakfast in the morning. Had a lot of kitchen supplies which was nice. Might suggest another large skillet, but other than that, it was fully stocked. Overall it was a good experience and we would book again!

The house was cozy, clean, and just right from my work away from home needs. The snacks were a lovely touch. It was only a mile to my kiddo’s housing so it worked out great. The owner is very responsive. I’ve stayed in both sides of the duplex and had good stays.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament, and the property was even nicer than expected, and had every single accommodation we could have needed! Traveling with a teen daughter can be difficult it it was so spacious, had snacks, makeup remover, and toothbrushes that we had forgot to pack! The massage chair was incredible! Host was amazing!

The unit was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. There is ample parking, which is very nice. There is a Wendy’s right across the street in case you get the munchies. It is in the historic District and close to the capital and very close to the Interstate. The host were very responsive and made us feel very welcomed.
