The cabin itself is breathtaking. Especially once you find the book documenting its construction. One of the things I particularly enjoyed was no internet. We just played board games and experienced the surroundings instead of having our noses buried in our phones! Great time, great view, not far from anything touristy to do, I love to stay here again.

We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave! The cabin is spacious, clean, has all the amenities, and made with wonderful craftsmanship. The views from the deck of Lake Superior through the pretty forest were the highlight. It is a perfect peaceful escape!

Enjoyed the quiet and beautiful cabin. Everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was especially well equipped. Comfy bed. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck and nearness of places to hike.

We really enjoyed the spacious yet cozy energy of this log cabin, and how well appointed the entire layout is. Our 2 teens had their own private spaces up in the loft. Plus - the photos online do not do the view justice! I was pleasantly surprised by how fantastic the view actually was from this location. There are close neighboring cabins in this spot, but it was a non-issue for a winter-trip. The full size games in the basement level were an added bonus! Absolutely loved the wood stove. We had a relaxing and adventurous time along the North Shore, and this was a wonderful home-base for hanging out and cozying up!

This cabin provided everything we were looking for for a winter getaway. From the kindling and logs stacked next to the stove, to Sarah going WAY out of her way to ensure the driveway was salted prior to our arrival, this was an ideal getaway. We will absolutely be back.

We had a great time, the cabin is beautiful. Sarah is always available and is so nice. Staying that far up north allowed us to get to places like Grand Portage and the high falls. We had fun by the fire pit making smores, but the mosquitoes are hungry! We had fun times playing foosball and air hockey championships at night. My daughter especially loved her own loft and private deck. You need to prepare yourself for little to no cell service, mosquitoes and restaurant prices.. but we would definitely stay there again. All or 4 wheel drive is an absolute must to stay here but worth it. FYI, when we stayed the wildfire smoke from Canada obscured most of the water view, but we still were able to see at least one of the big ships. The hummingbirds visited the flowers by the front door every morning.

The cabin was beautiful and so very well stocked with supplies. The owners were good about answering questions quickly and the view of the lake was wonderful. It was a great location for enjoying so many of the beautiful state parks along the North Shore. Our two grandsons also had great fun with the game table in the basement. Also a great fire pit with benches outside.

Absolutely stunning log home! Picture’s actually don’t do it justice. It’s even better in real life, perfect place for our family. Will be returning yearly if possible. My husband was in love the place. Very clean, cozy, and had everything you need to be at home.

The directions were easy to follow. On entry the log home smelled great! The view was peacefully breathtaking. The entire home was clean and organized. Our time together was well enhanced by the surroundings. Thank you.

This cabin was clean, well maintained, comfortable beds and stocked with everything we needed. We used it as our home base while we explored the north shore for a long weekend. It was right in the middle of everything we wanted to see. Great cabin!

From the moment you drive up, the cabin is just breathtaking! Beautifully nestled in the woods with a gorgeous view of the lake. The cabin is beautiful with all the comforts and amenities of home! Very clean and well organized! We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the North Shore!

Walking in after a 12 hour drive, we dropped our bags in awe. The pictures here don’t do justice. It must be experienced in person. Sarah and Marc have done an exceptional job with the place. First, the location is breathtaking. Immerse yourself in beautiful solitude while everything you could ever need is provided. There’s no Wi-Fi and limited cell reception, but if that’s what you’re looking for, why are you here? The cabin with its massive logs and spacious rooms, loft, ideal kitchen space, big windows, and well chosen decor is absolutely perfect. We found it to be clean and well cared for. Communication is great. Would definitely stay again!

Our family (with a teenager and 20 year old) stayed here for a long weekend to just get away from our everyday stress and this was a perfect place! It was clean, comfortable and welcoming. The scenery was beautiful and we found lots to see in the area. It was well stocked and communication with the owners was easy. Highly recommended!

We try and do the North Shore every year, and this year we decided to stay in a private home, rather than a resort. The home was comfortable to absolutely gorgeous. Sarah was super easy to work with, and we will definitely add this listing to our favorites.

The property was fantastic. Pictures don't do it justice. It was perfect for our family. The location gave us access to all the amazing trails and roadside beaches the area has to offer.

Absolutely stunning cabin! The cabin and the view was amazing! We stayed for a couple nights while heading to Lutsen to see the fall colors. Was the perfect stopping point and not far from town. We would definitely book another stay!

Walking in after a 12 hour drive, we dropped our bags in awe. The pictures here don’t do justice. It must be experienced in person. Sarah and Marc have done an exceptional job with the place. First, the location is breathtaking. Immerse yourself in beautiful solitude while everything you could ever need is provided. There’s no Wi-Fi and limited cell reception, but if that’s what you’re looking for, why are you here? The cabin with its massive logs and spacious rooms, loft, ideal kitchen space, big windows, and well chosen decor is absolutely perfect. We found it to be clean and well cared for. Communication is great. Would definitely stay again!

Property was great and well maintained. Centrally located on the North Shore. Worked great for our daily excursions to the many hikes, waterfalls, and Grand Marais. Our 3 kids (ages 5-8) loved it! We will absolutely recommend.

We had a great time, the cabin is beautiful. Sarah is always available and is so nice. Staying that far up north allowed us to get to places like Grand Portage and the high falls. We had fun by the fire pit making smores, but the mosquitoes are hungry! We had fun times playing foosball and air hockey championships at night. My daughter especially loved her own loft and private deck. You need to prepare yourself for little to no cell service, mosquitoes and restaurant prices.. but we would definitely stay there again. All or 4 wheel drive is an absolute must to stay here but worth it. FYI, when we stayed the wildfire smoke from Canada obscured most of the water view, but we still were able to see at least one of the big ships. The hummingbirds visited the flowers by the front door every morning.

The cabin was beautiful and so very well stocked with supplies. The owners were good about answering questions quickly and the view of the lake was wonderful. It was a great location for enjoying so many of the beautiful state parks along the North Shore. Our two grandsons also had great fun with the game table in the basement. Also a great fire pit with benches outside.
