1 Mi to Cape Fear River: Pet-Friendly Retreat

We had a great time in Lillington, NC! The house was clean, roomy, exactly as described, had a big yard for our dog, and very responsive hosts. At some point the town had a water main break so the house had no water for a few hours. As soon as I called the hosts, they immediately began looking into it and providing us with updates until the situation was rectified. All in all, it was a wonderful stay!

Quiet clean property pet-friendly

This property was advertised as a house, but is actually a duplex that shares the back porch area seen in the photos. The house was not cleaned outside, nor was the yard maintained. The trash can was full with trash, with another full bag of trash lying on the ground beside it. This was next to the carport where we were supposed to park. The inside of the house was needing some repairs in the laundry (exposed wiring), along with a huge bag of dirty laundry needing to be washed. Dirty dishes in the sink and in the dishwasher. Dirty linens along with no toiletry items to speak of. The guest bedroom had no linens upon the bed. We called the property manager and someone came to take care of the problems but they did not address all of the concerns even after being made aware of them. We did not stay at this property! We told the property manager that even if he didn't refund our money, that he and his team could use it to make the needed repairs and hopefully no one else would find themselves in our predicament. I/We have never had this happen on one of our VRBO homes before...(10 plus years renting with VRBO). We are very disappointIed with VRBO and the people who put this property up for rent. The property manager did refund our payment and was apologetic but we had to find alternative lodging. Thankfully, we found a nice hotel with no problems for our stay. Still, VRBO has taken a hit from this event in our minds, since it was listed on their website.

Great location in lilington with plenty of room to stretch out and visit with our in town family. My son enjoyed walking to the park and playing nearby. The king bed was a little worn down, but no complaints from my brother and grandmother in the other rooms. We would love to stay here again.

The house is cute and has mostly everything it needs. The bedrooms are big and so are the tv’s. . We didn’t use it because it was cold but the outdoor space and screen room were really, really nice.
