The Quiet Cottage, also known as Stolhammer Hus, is the perfect base to explore the Mesabi Bike Trail and the Range. The house is very clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. Great screened in porch, as well as a deck that has you sitting in the woods. The host is great, very accessible and helpful with local recommendations. I would highly recommend the Quiet Cottage in the Woods!

The home was really clean. The cornbread muffins with your honey were delicious!Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need for meal preparations and dining. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of privacy. We loved the wood stove! It made our stay cozy and comfortable!

The "Hus" is a beautiful location with a cozy and comfy vibe. It has quiet surroundings with lots of trees and wildlife. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils, and dishes. There are also some goodies and coffee/tea provided. The laundry room is large and has everything needed. The downstairs bedroom has a comfortable bed and the closet has a lot of useful space for hanging and laying out clothes. Siri was super friendly and responsive to all messages. Check in and out were very easy. We will definitely stay here again when we are visiting the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. The house was everything we were looking for and the screen porch and deck were perfect after 2 days of biking. Siri was one of the best VRBO hosts we've ever had and even greeted us with muffins and fresh honey from her hives.

This was our second ever VRBO trip as a family and was another great experience! We cook from scratch in our family and Siri had the kitchen stocked with essentials my wife needed! We enjoyed the bonfire and time spent with them. The house was very well maintained, clean, and organized. In addition, everything we needed was there. Siri and her husband were always there if we needed something and accommodating. We Highly recommend this cabin stay!

Cozy little home in quiet location! Perfect location for us as we went out exploring every day putting on 1500 miles. Love that they had clean and nice linens as well as plenty of clean and fresh towels. Enjoyed the fall colors from all the views as well as a small fire every night in the wood burning stove!

We had a wonderful stay at Siri’s beautiful property in Hibbing. The guest house is thoughtfully decorated and included any amenities we might need. We loved the wood burning stove and the upstairs loft, as well as the kitchen and the beautiful view. Highly recommend staying with Siri for your next trip to Hibbing!

Siri's cabin is lovely, clean and quiet. The cabin is spacious. The beds are comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and on the porch. There is a bike/walking trail across the street that goes into Hibbing. Kitchen is well equipped and great for cooking in. There was even some unexpected food treats. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I were coming to the area to ride our Ranger in the National and State Forests. We wanted a clean and comfortable stay with parking space for our trailer. The Quiet Cottage in the Woods, aka Stolhammer Hus, fit the bill perfectly! The house was stocked with almost anything you could need, and the awaiting cornbread muffins and honey were a very thoughtful gesture. Also appreciated the slipper socks to wear in the house. We hope to return for a longer time as we just missed seeing the Northern Lights that appeared the day after we left.

This is a beautiful place in a country setting close to all you will need for your stay. When you look out any window you are seeing nature a few feet away. The home is very cozy, peaceful, well supplied, and comfortable.

This cute cottage was the perfect place for our stay! My daughter, grandson, and I stayed here for one night for my birthday and we felt welcomed just walking in the door! I loved the personalized note and tray of goodies - especially the honey I am also a beekeeper, so that was super cool! My grandson found the toys right away and had so much fun playing with the blocks he also loved watching the tv from up in the loft! My daughter and I played a great game of Scrabble We had everything that we needed to make breakfast in the morning, and the surroundings were very peaceful. We will definitely stay here again whenever we are in the area!

We loved the windows and coverings especially the skylights that gave a panoramic land-and-sky scapes. The lovely loft gave light and luxurious living area. The unexpected amenities like fluffy towels and cozy socks were appreciated in the cold weather for us who are only former Minnesotans most recently from Florida. A relaxing rustic retreat in the north woods, yet close to town and airport.

Siri was a pleasure to communicate with both before and during our stay and was very accommodating with our late arrival and early departure times. The house was equipped with all the basics we needed and everything was clean and well maintained. The corn bread and honey was a delighted surprise.

Hospitality by Siri was excellent, always available. A Beautiful cottage with a full level of accessories you may possibly need to make your stay comfortable. Great location to the town, yet snuggled in the woods for nature that was all around including several deer's. Loved it!!! Will be staying there again for sure while in MN.

We loved our stay in Stolhammer Hus - it was spotlessly clean, comfortable and the setting in the woods was wonderful. Kraig and Siri were lovely hosts and we enjoyed their home-made cornbread and honey from their bees. Their home is so warm and welcoming and has everything you could possibly need - and more. We hope to stay again on a future visit to Northern Minnesota. Thank you!

Since I was traveling with a friend to photograph in the Sax Zim bog, I decided to rent a house instead of two hotel rooms. The house was very clean and comfortable. It’s convenient to the bog. I’d stay here again on my next visit if it’s available.

Very beautiful house and location. The host couple did an amazing job at making sure our stay was top notch. The location was great. We were only 4 miles outside of town, but yet you had the woodsy feel right out your back door. I would recommend this location for a great northern getaway. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

We stayed one night and loved every detail of this property. The secluded location, the garden, the unique touches of their family history, the muffins and honey!!! We hope to return again some day.

This cute cottage was the perfect place for our stay! My daughter, grandson, and I stayed here for one night for my birthday and we felt welcomed just walking in the door! I loved the personalized note and tray of goodies - especially the honey I am also a beekeeper, so that was super cool! My grandson found the toys right away and had so much fun playing with the blocks he also loved watching the tv from up in the loft! My daughter and I played a great game of Scrabble We had everything that we needed to make breakfast in the morning, and the surroundings were very peaceful. We will definitely stay here again whenever we are in the area!

Great Hus in a great location - The corn bread muffins and honey were a special treat and delicious. House is close to all Hibbing/Chisolm mining sites/views/museums and I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area. Thank You Siri -

The home was really clean. The cornbread muffins with your honey were delicious!Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need for meal preparations and dining. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of privacy. We loved the wood stove! It made our stay cozy and comfortable!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. The house was everything we were looking for and the screen porch and deck were perfect after 2 days of biking. Siri was one of the best VRBO hosts we've ever had and even greeted us with muffins and fresh honey from her hives.

The hosts of this property offered many special touches like cornmeal muffins with honey from their own hives. We were welcomed in person (that’s a “first” and very much appreciated)! The linens and towels were very high quality. The cupboards were stocked with an excellent variety of cooking utensils as well as sugar, flour, cooking spray, oil, etc. so we lacked for nothing to be comfortable there. The furniture and beds were comfortable and cozy. I’d love to return on the near future! Superb hosts with excellent communication for checking in and during our stay.

This was a perfect environment for our trip to Hibbing. Siri was very helpful with any information that we requested. Amenities were plentiful, including muffins and other snacks that were awaiting us at check-in.

Siri's cabin is lovely, clean and quiet. The cabin is spacious. The beds are comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and on the porch. There is a bike/walking trail across the street that goes into Hibbing. Kitchen is well equipped and great for cooking in. There was even some unexpected food treats. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I were coming to the area to ride our Ranger in the National and State Forests. We wanted a clean and comfortable stay with parking space for our trailer. The Quiet Cottage in the Woods, aka Stolhammer Hus, fit the bill perfectly! The house was stocked with almost anything you could need, and the awaiting cornbread muffins and honey were a very thoughtful gesture. Also appreciated the slipper socks to wear in the house. We hope to return for a longer time as we just missed seeing the Northern Lights that appeared the day after we left.

Second time staying here and it is a great property. Located near the historic Hull Rust Mine and other great Iron Range historic sites and museums. Short drive to mountain biking trails too. The cornbread muffins and honey are a welcome treat along with the other snacks she provides in the welcome basket. Thank you Siri providing a clean welcoming home -

This this beautiful cottage was absolutely adorable warm inviting you felt like you were home the minute you walked in the best touch where the corn muffins and they’re very own honey they make. I only wish I could’ve stayed longer. I took some business cards and I for sure will be back. Highly recommend.
