Chattanooga is my favorite southern town, and this is my favorite location. Everything is less than 10 minutes away, including a lovely area with restaurants and stores at the bottom of the hill. The neighborhood is charming and walkable. The layout of the house has the two bedrooms separated between the top floor and the basement, with the living room and kitchen in the middle, something to consider if traveling with younger children. (Bathrooms on each floor.) There are also steps both down and up leading to the entrance since this is a sloped lot in a hilly neighborhood. We had a beautiful dusting of snow while there, and they thoughtfully put salt out on all the walkways. We experienced temperature ranges between the basement and the top floor, which the owner will hopefully address. The kitchen was well stocked, the family area inviting and comfortable. The seating area on the bottom floor was lovely at sunset with the little table fire going. My favorite area was the porch that runs the length of the side of the house; lovely swing and wonderful table with a private view - wonderful for bird watching. It was cold while we were there, and I wished the heater I had read about had been there - I would have spent more time outside. I am guessing it is the place to be when the weather is warmer!
