From the time we arrived we loved the cabin, it was clean and so cozy. The jacuzzi was very clean and was wonderful to use in the cool evenings and the fire pit was also a big hit. The location was very close to all types of things (i.e. grocery and activities). The ambience with the flowing river in the backyard was very serene. We highly recommend this wonderful cabin. The host Anthony was extremely responsive and just a pleasure to communicate with.

We had a great time relaxing by the river! It was the perfect getaway. The accommodations were very nice for our little family. My kids loved being able to fish by the river, warm up in the hot tub after hiking, and enjoyed s’mores by the fire almost every night! The host was even so gracious to help us find something we left behind after we realized it upon returning back home. It was a wonderful week or relaxing and family time, and we will absolutely stay again when we come back to Ellijay! Thank you!

We arrived to the cabin and thought we were in heaven until we stepped out the back door of the cabin. Once out the back door you find yourself looking at the back of a number of metal office buildings and shopping complex. And just a couple hundred yards from the hot tub you are watching and hearing an extremely noisy road full of cars going by. This in no way is a cozy and quiet getaway. We fully expected to be in the mountains away from the city life but this was the opposite. I felt like I had been cheated out of our mountain cabin getaway vacation. We tried to get in the hot tub one night but the noise drove us out. We spent the majority of our stay in the house and pretended we were in the mountains . Also the game room was unusable because it has no heat. It was way too cold to even stay in the game room and try to use the facility which was a detached garage with a movie room above. I am assuming there is a fire station near by because we heard sirens almost every day. Imagine going away to a mountain getaway and just listening to firetrucks go by. I am surprised they can call this a mountain getaway.

The weekend was supposed to be a 60th birthday relaxation trip to the North Georgia mountains... the house was beautiful but it backed up to the river which backed up to 2 manufactured buildings and a very busy highway 52. The listing is very misleading and very loud traffi noices and not a North Georgia Riverview peaceful atmosphere.. We checked out on the next day and called it a wash. I suggest that the owner be more transparent in the listing and photos and also there was no pantry. Game room is not heated and was cold. Plug in heaters. Very disappointed.

There was an issue with the cleaning crew that the homeowner addressed during our stay. Things I wish I had known when booking the property is that the highway runs directly across the creek from the property, so there is traffic noise when outside. Also, there is a warehouse across the creek and a bright advertising sign. These issues are likely less noticeable during the spring and summer when the leaves are full.

Beautiful location/property - the cabin was very nice, neat and well stocked. The river view, hot tub, fire pit, games, location and easy access to downtown Ellijay and surrounding towns was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will plan a return visit in the future. The only negative I can note is the early 10am checkout time.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was very spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The location was perfect—just a short drive to downtown Ellijay—yet the property itself felt private and serene. The house and grounds were absolutely gorgeous, and our group had the best time. Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the area!

The curb appeal at the front of the cabin is everything we were hoping for. The front yard is very large and the overall appearance of the front of the cabin is very appealing. The neighborhood where the cabin is located is very nice. The furniture in the house was very comfortable. It was a cozy place. The location to the grocery store was very convenient and we really enjoyed the hot tub! There were some issues with the cabin that are worth mentioning before the next group arrives: The blinds need dusting really, really badly. Only half of the screen on the outdoor TV works. The other half of the screen is black. The water pressure in the cabin was never strong enough for our kids to use their own shower—they used the shower in the master bedroom for the entire stay. Although we knew there would be road noise, we were bummed that it was so loud and so busy. Also, the listing mentioned all the fishing we could do at the cabin. There was no fishing equipment that we could find on the property, which was a huge let down to our little boy who loves to fish. The remote control car in the game room also never worked, which was also very disheartening to our kids who wanted to play with it. The bag of complimentary marshmallows was open upon arrival, so we had to throw them away. We are not a fussy family, so we tolerated the issues with the cabin. However, the next bunch may not be so forgiving.

It was good. There was only 1 roll of paper towels for a 3 night, 4 day stay. There was shredded lettuce dropped on the inside of the refrigerator. You couldn't watch the same thing on any tv on the property.

We recently experienced a loss and needed to get out of our house for a change of scenery. This location was just a short road trip from our home and easy to find. We throughly enjoyed this one-level cabin and felt rested and relaxed. There is a busy highway on the other side of the river that is not pictured, but it didn’t bother us at all. My husband also caught a trout and was determined to catch more spending most of his time in the river there.

Beds & couches are comfy, linens are plush (robes included), tons of kitchen essentials, surprise S’Mores kits, exciting game room, inviting porches & fire pit, lovely hot tub & absolutely beautiful river with easy access! This cabin is PERFECT. One thing to note ~ Please be aware that this property is right on the river, which is awesome, but directly across the river is a pretty busy highway & the road noise definitely changes the “feel” of the property. You get busy road noise from 6am - 10pm.

We had an amazing time. There was so much to do for the week. The cabin is tastefully done and equipped perfectly! The beds were comfortable. Our adult children enjoyed the game room and the river. We took daily walks with fur babies. We will be back

We go to the north Georgia mountains every year with our family to fish and relax. We had a wonderful time at this cabin on the Coosawatee River in Ellijay. The cabin and surrounding grounds were beautiful and had everything we needed. We’ll book it again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The home was beautifully laid out, the back porch was great and we used the firepit every night. The river views were gorgeous. A little road noise from across the river but didn't detract from the beauty of this spot.

We had a great time relaxing by the river! It was the perfect getaway. The accommodations were very nice for our little family. My kids loved being able to fish by the river, warm up in the hot tub after hiking, and enjoyed s’mores by the fire almost every night! The host was even so gracious to help us find something we left behind after we realized it upon returning back home. It was a wonderful week or relaxing and family time, and we will absolutely stay again when we come back to Ellijay! Thank you!

Highly recommend staying at Ruby River Lodge. The location is great; convenient to the grocery store, gas station, downtown, restaurants, boutiques, and antique shops. The host has paid attention to the finest of details. We had the comfort of not just a hotel but that of a home away from home. While we brought our own dog kennel, it was delightful to find there was one provided at the house for our use. Anthony, our host, was very responsive to all our questions.

This property is beautiful. The cabin sits at the end of a road with few neighbors. The cabin and hot tub are well maintained. There was an issue with the cleaning crew that the homeowner addressed during our stay. Things I wish I had known when booking the property is that the highway runs directly across the creek from the property, so there is traffic noise when outside. Also, there is a warehouse across the creek and a bright advertising sign. These issues are likely less noticeable during the spring and summer when the leaves are full.

The house was beautiful and so clean! I couldn’t believe it was pet friendly. The property was flat and very private so my kids and dog enjoyed running around. Every little detail was thought of for example: Keurig with pods, shampoo and conditioner already in the showers, games for kids to play, cornhole, fresh towels located right by the hot tub, etc! We really enjoyed our 2 night getaway

We had a wonderful stay! The home was very spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The location was perfect—just a short drive to downtown Ellijay—yet the property itself felt private and serene. The house and grounds were absolutely gorgeous, and our group had the best time. Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the area!

From the time we arrived we loved the cabin, it was clean and so cozy. The jacuzzi was very clean and was wonderful to use in the cool evenings and the fire pit was also a big hit. The location was very close to all types of things (i.e. grocery and activities). The ambience with the flowing river in the backyard was very serene. We highly recommend this wonderful cabin. The host Anthony was extremely responsive and just a pleasure to communicate with.

What a wonderful home away from home! The hosts thought of EVERYTHING!!! Beds & couches are comfy, linens are plush (robes included), tons of kitchen essentials, surprise S’Mores kits, exciting game room, inviting porches & fire pit, lovely hot tub & absolutely beautiful river with easy access! This cabin is PERFECT. One thing to note ~ Please be aware that this property is right on the river, which is awesome, but directly across the river is a pretty busy highway & the road noise definitely changes the “feel” of the property. You get busy road noise from 6am - 10pm.

The weekend was supposed to be a 60th birthday relaxation trip to the North Georgia mountains... the house was beautiful but it backed up to the river which backed up to 2 manufactured buildings and a very busy highway 52. The listing is very misleading and very loud traffi noices and not a North Georgia Riverview peaceful atmosphere.. We checked out on the next day and called it a wash. I suggest that the owner be more transparent in the listing and photos and also there was no pantry. Game room is not heated and was cold. Plug in heaters. Very disappointed.

Our family enjoyed this property so much! It was a perfect place for a family getaway. We also loved downtown Elijay and it was a short drive up to Blue Ridge. We would love to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing. One of our favorite parts was the daily visits from the local wildlife—we were greeted by deer and rabbits right outside the cabin, which made the experience feel even more peaceful and special. It was the perfect place to unwind, and we would definitely stay here again!

You were unable to use the gaming area because it was so hot. They were a lot of times I fell should have been at the property for the price you paid. If you’re going to stay in the master suite take ear plugs or you will be up all night listening to the frogs in the pond right outside the window. The back deck was the best part of the place.

The host was generous, flexible, and quick to respond. The cabin was spacious, beautiful, and stocked with everything we needed. Tons of entertainment options kept us busy, but the setting was peaceful enough to truly unwind.This is the first cabin we’ve ever called a favorite and we absolutely plan to go back!
