this is my first time running off of Vrbo and I wasn’t used to the platform. The property manager once I booked was very kind to message me back-and-forth about what time check-in is and the code which was really kind and timely. The property is absolutely beautiful. It is so much fun having all the games in the house. I had my entire family in from Chicago champagne myself from Florida and was able to gather with people we have not seen in a long time. The extra air mattresses in the closet was super convenient. I give 5 stars

Overall, this was a nice place to stay. My kids really enjoyed the air hockey and retro video games. Another plus is that this inside a resort and minutes from starved rock entrance. There are 3 actual beds and two air mattresses. This worked fine for our family but I’m not sure that is clear on the listing. Main complaint is that the sofa is not comfortable and could use replacing. The host was responsive and made check in easy. I would recommend this place and would stay there again.

Host was responsive and friendly. Townhome was rustic cute and fine for a night but with many small issues that added up.No screens on most windows or sliding doors & dining ceiling fan didn't work so we couldn't air the slight stink out. Main level window is missing its lock. Couch is extremely uncomfortable with springs pushing up each cushion. King bed sheets had several stains, I hope they weren't actually dirty but there were dirty footprints on lower bathroom floor so cleanliness was questionable. Worn carpets and paint, poor/harsh lighting throughout, flat pillows, iron water, slow sink drain, no outdoor chairs as shown in photos. No shampoo/conditioner/salt/pepper/basics provided like most rentals do. Door code stopped working so we had to wait outside until host could let us in a couple times. Townhome is part of a resort and the road is full of large potholes - this is a resort issue but makes the drive in/out a little annoying.Games were fun and unique, but no lighting above air hockey made it hard to play at night.Great location near Starved Rock state park but it's not very walkable from the townhome because most of the park is another 1-2 miles in from the road. Still a good location for driving to state parks and to a couple really cute historic towns on the river. A good choice if you're looking for a semi-rustic cabin feel in a nice area.

Our extended family ate lunch at Starved Rock Lodge but wanted a place to sit around and talk afterwards. My husband and I decided to rent a cabin and specifically chose this one because of the game machines here which was nice because of all the different ages involved. We talked, played cards, ate snacks, and this cabin was perfect! It was nice to have a private gathering space.

Our families really enjoyed playing all of the varied games throughout the unit (i.e air hockey, shuffleboard, ski ball, arcade console, Jenga, and cards! The beds and sofa beds were all very comfortable and the unit was very clean. Our host was great at communicating with us and we would love to come back!

We stayed at the house with another family. The house was clean and kid friendly. The arcade games were great. We appreciated the proximity to Starved Rock, which was our primary destination. Our host was so quick to respond to any questions or requests. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend to anyone interested in stay near Starved Rock.

The cabin was very nice and clean. I am not sure the description was correct about housing 13 people? There was only 2 queen air mattresses and one twin/ full which did have a leak and needs replaced. FYI for the owner of the property. Also for the number of occupants there was not enough bath towels. But overall the property was very nice and a good place for a family to enjoy for a starved Rick getaway.

Family trip w our 18 and 21 yr old sons.Needing a home base for hiking Starved Rock and Mathieson State Park.Was under the impression it was a home not part of BearPaw water park grounds.The listing does not clearly state its part of a 4 unit.When I asked about grilling and bonfire I was told not allowed due to fire last year but listing shows outdoor "patio" with that ability. My fault I waited to ask about it when no refund was available. You can grill in designated spots not convenient to the villa.Also was told it was "like a townhouse" which again I asked too late.The house was bare minimum supplied.1 extra roll of toliet paper under each bathroom cabinet ,1 tiny set of hotel shampoo/conditioner,shower gel and bar soap for each bathroom no extras anywhere,good thing we were not there much bc we wouldve gone through toilet paper. The place was ok but having a ski ball game in master bedroom and the shuffleboard game in the other bedroom was super weird.The listing makes it seam like they are in separate entertainment area.It was just an ok place.The water is so full of iron nothing seemed sparkling clean like you would expect when walking into kitchen or bathrooms.

The property does not sleep 13 as stated. We were a party of 8 adults and could not sleep comfortably. The couch does not pull out. Air mattresses that are available do not hold air. The one we did get to hold air was flat by morning. I will take some of the blame for the cleanliness. Our event ended early, so we asked if you could get in. 30 minutes early. We were told that as soon as housekeeping was done, we could get in.Got in 10 minutes before the scheduled time. But I don't think the extra ten minutes would have made a difference. Cobwebs in the bathroom and light fixture over the table. Several basics that I expect in a rental were not there, like dish soap; it is hard to wash dishes without soap.

Overall, my stay was good! The listing is slightly misleading with it stating it sleeps 13 people..there are three queen sized air mattresses but only one pillow, one flat sheet and one queen sized blanket provided for each air mattress. Luckily I had several children with my group so using the old couch throw pillows wasn't a huge issue to make up for the lack of pillows. The listing also states there is a sofa bed but there isn't any bedding or pillow provided for the sofa (which isn't a pull out sofa, just a regular sofa to sleep on). There were only 8 big bath towels and 6 wash clothes provided upon arrival so I had to request laundry detergent to be dropped off so we could wash towels so everyone had a clean towel when they showered. Host was responsive and friendly. Townhome was rustic cute and fine for a night but with many small issues that added up.No screens on most windows or sliding doors & dining ceiling fan didn't work so we couldn't air the slight stink out. Main level window is missing its lock. Couch is extremely uncomfortable with springs pushing up each cushion. King bed sheets had several stains, I hope they weren't actually dirty but there were dirty footprints on lower bathroom floor so cleanliness was questionable. Worn carpets and paint, poor/harsh lighting throughout, flat pillows, iron water, slow sink drain, no outdoor chairs as shown in photos. No shampoo/conditioner/salt/pepper/basics provided like most rentals do. Door code stopped working so we had to wait outside until host could let us in a couple times. Townhome is part of a resort and the road is full of large potholes - this is a resort issue but makes the drive in/out a little annoying.Games were fun and unique, but no lighting above air hockey made it hard to play at night.Great location near Starved Rock state park but it's not very walkable from the townhome because most of the park is another 1-2 miles in from the road. Still a good location for driving to state parks and to a couple really cute historic towns on the river. A good choice if you're looking for a semi-rustic cabin feel in a nice area.

Our families really enjoyed playing all of the varied games throughout the unit (i.e air hockey, shuffleboard, ski ball, arcade console, Jenga, and cards! The beds and sofa beds were all very comfortable and the unit was very clean. Our host was great at communicating with us and we would love to come back!

Overall nice experience but they need some updates in the home such as inflatable air mattress leaks air, water pressure on shower heads to strong, the couch has broken springs, and the upstairs sink water pressure super low, for a more comfortable stay. The area is super nice the state park is super close by.

this is my first time running off of Vrbo and I wasn’t used to the platform. The property manager once I booked was very kind to message me back-and-forth about what time check-in is and the code which was really kind and timely. The property is absolutely beautiful. It is so much fun having all the games in the house. I had my entire family in from Chicago champagne myself from Florida and was able to gather with people we have not seen in a long time. The extra air mattresses in the closet was super convenient. I give 5 stars

Overall, this was a nice place to stay. My kids really enjoyed the air hockey and retro video games. Another plus is that this inside a resort and minutes from starved rock entrance. There are 3 actual beds and two air mattresses. This worked fine for our family but I’m not sure that is clear on the listing. We stayed at the house with another family. The house was clean and kid friendly. The arcade games were great. We appreciated the proximity to Starved Rock, which was our primary destination. Our host was so quick to respond to any questions or requests. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend to anyone interested in stay near Starved Rock.

My husband and his friends celebrated turning 40 and over 20 years of friendship with a weekend getaway. This property allowed for them to play games like skeeball and air hockey in the evening and hike during the day. The location is ideal for anyone visiting Starved Rock, Matthison, Ottawa, etc.

Perfect for a little family getaway! The heat advisory kept us inside more than we’d planned, but the place is set up nicely, so we still had a great time playing games and making meals together!

There were 5 beds total all super comfortable. Everything we needed in the kitchen plus awesome fun games for the kids age ranges from 11 to 17. We enjoyed it for our large group. Super comfortable, clean, and fun in beautiful wooded surroundings. I would book again soon.

Place is run down. Cracks in walls and ceiling. Half the cabinets dont have hardware. Hosts stock it with the absolute minimum amount of paper towels, soap, ect. The main issue i have is the property decided to close the entire area and spray tar sealant over the parking lot right before a massive thunderstorm. We had to run through runny tar to get to the rental which ruined all of our shoes. When I asked for a small discount the owner ghosted me. There are dozens of other properties that look exactly like this one on the Waterpark property. Book one of those instead.

When we arrived there were garbage bags on porch probably from last person who stayed woke up this morning to garbage strewn all over the front porch animals got into it overnight disgusting. Condo was dirty, bugs all over the place. Stove where you push button to turn on all pushed in, no shampoo/body wash etc.
