Delightful patio and view. Hot water worked, bed was comfortable, sheets were clean and useable, fridge and appliances all worked,. On the negative, some of the towels were old and scratchy, the living room A/C was noisy. Although building access was good, the windows are weak points in the security of the apartment. The outside of the building is badly in need of maintenance. And, please tell renters about the very tight parking space.

If you are looking for a large city hotel experience, Riverview is not for you. If you are looking for an affordable place with lots of character, Riverview is a great choice. The apartment has beautiful views of the river (although they would be improved with washed windows). UT, downtown attractions, and tons of dining choices are all within easy walking distance. The apartment building was constructed in 1929 and still has many elements of buildings from that era which gives Riverview a great and unique vibe. The furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the location is perfect. There’s a nice deck overlooking the river and the parking is free. We used our car only once during our stay to go to a nearby state park. There are so many things to see and do in Knoxville and we felt very safe walking everywhere. Communication with the host was excellent. We had a wonderful visit.

The location was very convenient, and the facility was clean (except the patio - needed some attention). Value was also strong. Check in was easy. The bed was saggy toward the middle, which was a bit surprising given the listing description as having a new mattress. Master shower was very tight, so we used the other one. Overall a solid place except for these items.

This apartment was terrific. As part of a somewhat older building, it had incredible character. It was very comfortable, and the shower was terrific. The location couldn't have been better. We had a lovely view of the river, which we enjoyed from the deck. It was a short walk to the downtown hub, which was filled with restaurants and theaters and various shops. A real plus was that there was free onsite parking. We had not visited Knoxville before and were really impressed by all it had to offer. If we ever find ourselves coming to Knoxville again, we'll definitely see if this apartment is available!

We stayed here because our teens had a state competition on the UT campus. It was so close to the event, we didn't have to wake up at a terrible hour. The parking was too tight for our large vehicle but they told us that might be the case in the listing. So we came prepared to pay for parking across the street. We enjoyed our stay. Enough space for a small family or couple traveling.

Lovely 2 nights, 3 days in Knoxville in a noted historic building with a great view of Tennessee river! Convenient to restaurants, shops, beautiful homes and churches. Rental offered all the comforts of home while being on the road. Parking convenient as well! Check in was flawless! Mary M

Apartment was great and perfect for a football weekend. There is an outside deck that is adjacent that is open to other members of the complex, so Thursday night 'was a loud one'. Just students having a little fun until around 230 am.Hey, its a college town?!

The place is not as advertised. Seemed to be cozy in the pictures. The building needs some updating. Weeds in the front, deck off the back is falling apart. Parking is extremely tight, compact cars only. Bed was very uncomfortable. 2nd bathroom is extremely small.

Cute rustic place with easy walk to Market Place. Check-in and out was very smooth. Parking spot is tight (as owner stated) but was ok for our smaller mid-sized SUV. Only slight negative was that the bedroom doesn’t have a door and we got an apartment instead of a hotel room so any *potential* snoring could be confined to the bedroom without disrupting daughter sleeping on couch. It worked out fine though. Overall a great stay!

we had a wonderful weekend in Knoxville. This place was as described, very clean and convenient to everything. Love how it has a modern feel, but they have kept some of the original features. I would definitely stay here again if I was over to be in Knoxville.

The property is in a great location. Easy access to I75 and I40. The apartment is small but cozy. Parking was very convenient. The building and apartment are in need of maintenance. Understand this is an old building. The apartment itself has some plumbing maintenance issues. As far as cleanliness, the surfaces were clean. However, the floors were not. My socks were dirty and full of dog hair, and we do not have a dog. We feel it was overpriced for what we got.

Property is walkable to UT, downtown, river walk, bike/kayak rental/launch. Only an hour to the Smokies. Property is well stocked to prep all meals. Very clean. Having a parking space at the property is a plus but tight. Would not recommend having a truck/suburban size vehicle.

Picture on VRBO are really good, property is old. Could use some TLC The bed is tough! As an owner of rental Property beds are the most important things for guest next to location. Loved that it was down by the river and walkable! Had to go out and buy coffee filters. After parking and thinking we were good. Couch/pillows need a cleaning smells like diary heads.. We would stay again tho if concerns were addressed.

We had an overall good experience. The place is really cute and in a great location. Unfortunately, I would not rent from him again. I\'m not confident in the cleaning service he uses. Upon arrival I rushed straight to the restroom only to find that someone had already taken a #2 in the toilet. I contacted the owner, and offered to send a picture stating it makes me nervous about other items being cleaned like the sheets. To which he replied he wanted the picture because he\'s used her for 4 years and she "spent a lot of time there this morning". after initially offering to send her back over to clean, he stated he would deal with it after we checked out. That was extremely disappointing. I found this distasteful and purchased sheets from Kohls. Along with the feces in the toilet, there was dirt on the bottom of the bathtub, dirty pillow cases on the floor, and cob webs on the fake plants. I can\'t imagine anyone "spending a lot of time" cleaning a small apartment and it remain so unclean. I\'m not recommending you don\'t stay here per se, but I would bring sheets and any cleaning supplies you\'d need if you are a germ-aphobe or OCD about cleanliness. Otherwise, the place would have been perfect.

Where to start? We both loved this place. Just follow the provided directions about how to find the place and enter, you'll have no problem. Other people complained of noise, it's not noisy here. You'll have an occasional loud truck, that's it. The view is wonderful, the apartment is amazing. The age and history of the building is what makes this rental so unique. Modern touches inside a very old building. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and we will again. I just hope for longer next time. This apt is convenient to most everything, easy to find, easy to get in and out of. Perfect place to stay if you're visiting the convention center, as it's an extremely short walk to it. 10/10 for this place!!

Character. Loved the ceiling tile in bedroom. Mattress and pillows needed to be replaced. The air units were noisy, not like white noise. Location was great. Loved the outside seating on deck. Very relaxing. Would stay again with bedding upgrades

It is definitely close to things, but quiet and nestled away. Walk out the door to the left and see the Sunsphere and Worlds Fair Park and UT, go to the right and walk towards the market area, or towards the river and South Knoxville. We picked it for convenience to walk everywhere, which we did. The pictures (probably taken after remodel) reflect the space provided, though the space has aged some since then and could use a freshening up and better inside lighting. The building was very quiet and peaceful. Having two full baths was a definite plus even with just two people. I would consider this place if I came back to Knoxville.

Husband & Wife stayed for a game day weekend. Good location. Great size of apartment. Easy communication with owner and easy checkin/out. Apartment is in an old building so floor is crooked so if you have mobility issues, this would be difficult. Quaint rental that checked all the boxes for my family’s brief getaway. It’s easy to get to and close enough to the downtown area to walk everywhere. David is very quick to respond. The rental description is mostly accurate. This is perfect for 2 people because there is only one bed. The sofa does not fold out to a bed; however, there is a memory foam mattress that can be placed on the floor, if needed. Unfortunately, no one in our group was agile enough to get down on a floor. My only recommendation is that it would be nice to have a queen sofa bed versus the memory foam. Would definitely consider renting again for my next visit to Knoxville!

The unit was quiet and convenient to the convention center. We were able to park and walk most places, although the supermarket was 1.5 miles. The building is old and it shows. The bathroom off the bedroom would be horrible for a tall person: low ceiling in shower and little space between the toilet and the wall. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

The place is not as advertised. Seemed to be cozy in the pictures. The building needs some updating. Weeds in the front, deck off the back is falling apart. Parking is extremely tight, compact cars only. Bed was very uncomfortable. 2nd bathroom is extremely small.

It's a 100 year old building so obviously will have it's quirks which was to be expected. Inside though, super dark and needs a facelift. Bathrooms were dingy, creepy and need a fresh coat of paint, thread bare towels, and the additional "cot" (I think that's what it was) in the bedroom closet was just not usable. Pillows and bedding need to be replaced, clean the exterior windows. Ice maker doesn't work, lamp has to be unplugged to turn off. It needs an overhaul especially when we paid over 1500 for UT Parent's Weekend. I feel more than comfortable with this review as I have a home I rent for the summer months on the Cape in MA and understand what renters expectThe owner was excellent though in his correspondence and very pleasant to work with. If you are looking for a large city hotel experience, Riverview is not for you. If you are looking for an affordable place with lots of character, Riverview is a great choice. The apartment has beautiful views of the river (although they would be improved with washed windows). UT, downtown attractions, and tons of dining choices are all within easy walking distance. The apartment building was constructed in 1929 and still has many elements of buildings from that era which gives Riverview a great and unique vibe. The furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the location is perfect. There’s a nice deck overlooking the river and the parking is free. We used our car only once during our stay to go to a nearby state park. There are so many things to see and do in Knoxville and we felt very safe walking everywhere. Communication with the host was excellent. We had a wonderful visit.

We loved the location; able to walk to Market Square despite hubby possibly suffering from long-covid, and also explored Smoky Mtns, Gatlinburg, & Pigeon Forge since the drive was <2 hrs away (want to say about an hour away but cant remember for sure). Building is quiet. Was able to wash clothes (<$2 each machine). Host was very responsive when I texted to double-check something in the instructions. Would def stay here again.

My husband & I stayed at this property a couple of nights to attend the Vols game. A very rustic, quaint & cozy apartment. It had everything we needed. Location was great. Walking distance to the stadium & everything downtown. David was a great host, giving perfect instruction 😊

Great location. Easy in and out from the highway. Easy walking to Market Square and other interesting part of downtown Knoxville. Very comfortable accommodations. We had an issue with the TV when we arrived but our host went out of his way to deal with the issue. We will definitely book again the next time we come to Knoxville.

Cute rustic place with easy walk to Market Place. Check-in and out was very smooth. Parking spot is tight (as owner stated) but was ok for our smaller mid-sized SUV. Only slight negative was that the bedroom doesn’t have a door and we got an apartment instead of a hotel room so any *potential* snoring could be confined to the bedroom without disrupting daughter sleeping on couch. It worked out fine though. Overall a great stay!

This rental was great! The building is a little outdated, but the location is fantastic. You can walk to anything. We enjoyed our stay and the view was great. My only suggestion would be to have a king size bed. The rental had everything you would need for a weekend stay and the property owner was easy to work with. We enjoyed our stay and my son had a great first trip to Knoxville.

We stayed at David ‘s property to take in a lady Vol basketball game and visit UT Knoxville the next day. The location was perfect as we were able to walk to the basketball game. We highly recommend this property for its location.

Property is walkable to UT, downtown, river walk, bike/kayak rental/launch. Only an hour to the Smokies. Property is well stocked to prep all meals. Very clean. Having a parking space at the property is a plus but tight. Would not recommend having a truck/suburban size vehicle.

This apartment was terrific. As part of a somewhat older building, it had incredible character. It was very comfortable, and the shower was terrific. The location couldn't have been better. We had a lovely view of the river, which we enjoyed from the deck. It was a short walk to the downtown hub, which was filled with restaurants and theaters and various shops. A real plus was that there was free onsite parking. We had not visited Knoxville before and were really impressed by all it had to offer. If we ever find ourselves coming to Knoxville again, we'll definitely see if this apartment is available!

Located within an historical property with modern conveniences in an excellent location with a beautiful view of the river. Excellent AC'd space and a comfortable bed aided sleep and rest. Parking space was a plus and fit her Jeep Renegade. Very convenient to conference at the Marriott down the hill.

Great location, building is very quiet. Older charming space but very worn- some of towels were old and stained- but cleanSheets clean but also with some stains . Slightly uneven floors so would not rent if balance issues. Parking is tight but a great benefit of apartment. Easy walk to university campus and 15 min walk to Market Place

This place is cute and has lots of character. It was conveniently located. It was nice to have parking included. Be aware the spot is very tight. The refrigerator broke and the owner was quick to get a person out to look at it. It was frustrating as we had food in the fridge that had to be thrown out. It was also not convenient that we had to wait around for the repair man instead of being out enjoying our vacation. All in all, I would recommend this unit and would stay again.
