We absolutely loved everything about our stay at this property. Everything was nicely organized, comfortable, clean, quiet, beautifully decorated with the latest upgrades to make our stay pleasant and peaceful. A beautiful and quiet retreat space in short walking distance from the beach. Beach chairs, wagon, umbrella were provided for our use as well as laundry facilities. Best of all our fur pups were allowed to be here with us. Highly recommend staying at this property. You will not be disappointed.

We had a great time. The quick walk to the beach was great. We used the supplied boogie boards and surfboards. I'd walk down to the beach in the morning with my coffee and enjoy the ocean. Very family oriented for us. I had my daughter and granddaughter with me.

This adorable 2 bedroom cottage is the perfect get away. Location is everything and the beach is a 2 block stroll across the street. Flawless yard with front porch chairs and swing, outdoor shower, and a back patio with table, chairs and laundry in garage. The place is impeccably decorated and spotless. Walk a mile or less to coffee shops and restaurants. Designated parking makes things easy and grocery and all you could want is within a mile or two.I definitely hope to stay here again.

This beach house was perfect. Well stocked. Very clean. 100 feet to the beach. Close to the dog beach. Had a great time. The only negatives were internet was flaky and the TV remotes didn’t seem to work. We didn’t report to the property manager because we didn’t care with so much to do in the area.

We loved being close enough to the beach that we could go back and forth. House was perfect for me and my family! We cooked dinner one night on the bbq and were pleasantly pleased that we had EVERYTHING we needed up to the charcoal. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed just 2 nights to attend the San Diego County Fair. The host did everything to make sure we knew what was available in the area and inside the home. The outside is very inviting and neatly manicured. The garage was roomy enough to comfortably park our SUV. The inside was beautifully appointed with a beach-themed decor and everything was SPOTLESS! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen contained everything we needed. We highly recommend this home and would like to have had a longer stay.

The shell cottage was perfect for our family! You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into this property - the house is updated and was squeaky clean, and they even had a little activity pack and prize for our kiddos when we checked in. Would love to stay again!

This is our 4th stay at the Shell cottage! The cottage has been completely remodeled and is beautiful!! We love being nestled in the heart of Del Mar.. We walk or bike everywhere we go…The ocean and dog beach is just a few minute walk .. highly recommend… you won’t be disappointed!!

The perfect little place for the two of us and our puppy in Del Mar. Close to the beach, Dog Beach, the trail inland, restaurants, surfing and more. I loved my stay here! The cottage is so cozy and the location is perfect. This was the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. The property manager was amazing, very quick to respond. I will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our time at Shell Cottage. It is cozy, clean and so close to the beach. Beyond that, the owners/management were responsive and generous. Highly recommend - we've already rebooked for next summer!

We had a wonderful experience at this property! Beautiful home, very short walk to the beach, perfect location and neighborhood. The Beach Haus staff was very attentive and quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

This adorable 2 bedroom cottage is the perfect get away. Location is everything and the beach is a 2 block stroll across the street. Flawless yard with front porch chairs and swing, outdoor shower, and a back patio with table, chairs and laundry in garage. The place is impeccably decorated and spotless. Walk a mile or less to coffee shops and restaurants. Designated parking makes things easy and grocery and all you could want is within a mile or two.I definitely hope to stay here again.

I would strongly recommend this rental property if you like the beach. You are literally 2 blocks from one of the best beaches in America. The owners are meticulous in their up keep of the house. Very comfortable and highly recommended. We will be back. Doug & Fara Marinkovich

This is our 4th stay at the Shell cottage! The cottage has been completely remodeled and is beautiful!! We love being nestled in the heart of Del Mar.. We walk or bike everywhere we go…The ocean and dog beach is just a few minute walk .. highly recommend… you won’t be disappointed!!

We loved being close enough to the beach that we could go back and forth. House was perfect for me and my family! We cooked dinner one night on the bbq and were pleasantly pleased that we had EVERYTHING we needed up to the charcoal. I would definitely stay here again!

This home is located in a nice neighborhood very close to the beach in Del Mar. Everything seemed brand new, which you don't always find in vacation rentals! No tired or dated furniture here, and all was in good repair. It had small touches I appreciated, ranging from extra ziploc bags to sand toys for kids. All in all, it's a lovely home and a good value considering the location. The only thing to know is that it is a small space - a larger home that has been divided into two units, so the bathroom and bedrooms are quite small and the dining table is right in the little kitchen so you may bang your knees here and there. It worked well for my husband and me plus our 5 yr old for a few days though.

My husband and I and our two mini schnauzers had a very nice stay. The location was great (walkable to the beach and dog beach). Shops and restaurants were a short drive. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. The small cottage is newly renovated and nicely appointed. Where there was room for improvement....The quality of the linens (towels and sheets) was lacking a bit and the mattress and pillows were very firm. Needed more pillows and a non down/feather option.
