The cabin is a perfect little getaway. Cozy, intimate and comfortable. The hot tub, fire pit, wood stove, kitchen, bed, outdoor furniture and lighting, BBQ, and supplies were all excellent. I highly recommend The Cabin for a great getaway.

We had a terrific time there. Very private and quiet. Games to play and a hot tub. Sky lights over the bed for star gazing. Complimentary Keurig coffee among other things. Tv and stereo. Free internet and wifi. Lots of windows to watch mother nature. Trails nearby. Host lives on the property but we never saw anyone. Secure with a fob controlled gate. No charge for our pet dog. Lots of deck area to sit in shade or sun. Horseshoe pit and cornhole game.I could go on, but you get the idea. Our host Marie, was very accommodating and pleasant. Thank you Marie and we will see you again.

Booked a midweek winter getaway for my girlfriend's birthday. This was a wonderful escape from life into the woods with a hot tub to soak in and a lot of personal touches from the host.Marie was very welcoming and introduced us to her lovely horses.We will definitely be returning soon!

Super cozy winter cabin vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed watching watching the snow fall through the skylights, snowshoeing the nearby trails, and hot tubbing to warm back up.

This was a charming log cabin, well-equipped with amenities, and in a great location in a secluded wooded area just off the main road yet still very close to some of the local attractions. We enjoyed the close proximity to Homestead Orchards, Sibbald Provinicial Park, Antiques on 48, and the Corner House Bistro :) The hot tub was our favourite with the cozy gaming nook our second, PS great selection of coffee provided by the host. Communication with the host leading up to the trip was quite easy, we would definetly stay here again!

It was very nice , quiet our dogs loved it .The hot was great for the first two days than it started turning off and on by it self and was cleaning the water but other than that it was very nice we would recommend it to friends

We had an amazing time here! Everything was lovely and we would definitely come back! Such a cute environment, and the cabin is so quaint and cute! The hot tub is lovely to have! Although there was some deterioration of some substance on the jets, so there were gross little floaties all around, but at least we knew what it was and still felt comfortable enjoying it! Make sure to bring some spices and such if you plan on cooking, as the fully stocked kitchen doesn't include more than salt, pepper, and garlic powder. The only other slight complaint we had was the bed being uncomfortable, it is definitely time for a mattress update! And we did have a little squirrel friend come and visit us! Unfortunately it was a bit scary as he kept coming around and somehow removed insulation from the outside and got in the ceiling! So it was frightening to hear him running around and scratching at the ceiling above us while we were in bed, sounding like he was trying to get through! But it only happened a few times, and after we made lots of noise, he would leave for a while haha maybe some patchwork is needed to keep him out:) Overall though we had a lovely time and will definitely be back:) Thank you :)

Overall, communication with Marie was excellent. The property was cute and definitely a log cabin in the woods. Things that were not acceptable - hornets nest above the entrance door, lumpy/uncomfortable bed and there were hornets trying to get out of the skylights above the bed. Terrifying. Lack of hot water. Frying pan we used was pitted and needs to be replaced. Broken windows. Extremely humid. Thank God I took my dehumidifier with me. Hot tub was "murky" so we didn't use it. Furniture was old and damp. I would not recommend this place.

Marie was wonderful and the visit with the horses was my highlight. The cabin was gorgeous, clean, and quiet. The morning coffee was very much appreciated. Skylight was so nice at night to see stars. Communication was great. 10/10 recommend.

Perfect place to get away from the fast pace and noise of the city. Finding the place and checking in was easy. Everything was clean and in working order. The weather wasn’t particularly on our side, but even in the rain was a very enjoyable experience. Easily one of the best places to let loose and day drink. 10/10 would recommend, and we are looking forward to returning in the future

VRBO instructions didn't include how to open electronic gate. No internet at the road and no way to contact the owner. Fortunately after waiting half hour a hired hand was leaving and showed us where the gate key was. Owner forgot we were arriving on June 29 and cabin wasn't cleaned. We waited an hour while they cleaned the bathroom and brought towels and bedding. The bed in the loft was hot and the log steps were awkward to navigate. Some window cranks wouldn't work.

This was a charming cabin! A much-needed retreat from the city, combining a restful stay with exploring the area (we especially enjoyed the stone church, the orchard/bakery, and the antique store). Marie was a gracious and communicative host, and keeps the Cabin clean and well-stocked. Would definitely love to return!

Cabin is exactly as shown on the pictures. Feels fairly isolated while still being conveniently close to town if you need it. Very well put together and cute. Hot tub is a nice touch and was lovely with the crisp fall air. It was grey and rainy a lot of our stay but thanks to the large area of covered porch we were still able to enjoy a lot of relaxing time outside.

My husband and I wanted a quiet place to escape the busy day to day life BUT wanted to bring our pup since we are gone to much of the year. This cabin was perfect! The peaceful scenery, cozy and inviting cabin and decor plus all the things we needed to have full cooked meals and drinks before having a fire or slipping into the hot tub. The bed was cozy. The wooden log stairs are tight for tall people and scared pups to go up, but we managed fine. We explored sibble national park which was beautiful this time of year. Lake simcoe was still warm. We even gor to meet all 4 horse's from the host. Therapeutic to say the least. We will definitely be back. We got some great videos and photos that we will cherish for years to come. 7th wedding anniversary done right. Thankyou again Marie. It was such a fun space for us to enjoy. OH, and definitely try Messhall restaurant. The prosciutto and Pear pizza was amazing.

The cabin and surroundings are perfect for a quiet break away from every day life. The Cabin is situated in a lovely clearing and very private. The BBQ and hot tub were great and exactly what we needed. The bed situated under two massive skylights is stunning on a clear night. The Cabin was very clean and had everything you need. Marie was a great host, very responsive to any questions and was very happy to give us a tour of the rest of the property, which included meeting Dodge, her gorgeous dogs and all her horses. We are already planning our next trip!

The cabin itself blew our expectations out of the water! Was an awesome experience and time and we definitely hope to be back. Only thing I would suggest is blinds on the skylight! Laying in bed watching the stars was awesome but the sun certainly wakes you up early ! 5 stars for sure !

It was a nice space to share with a partner for a few days. Conveniently close to a town and not far from the big city. Easy to get to and the hottub was nice. Could use some curtains in the bedroom with all the windows to sleep easier, and a bigger hot water tank, but overall really nice

Overall the cabin is really nice as a place to disconnect. The skylights in the bedroom are a nice touch, however if you are a light sleeper they can be a little annoying in the mornings. If you are not used to well water like us, I would suggest bringing some as the water there has a pretty sulfurous taste. The property nice and good for dogs with lots of space.

Watching rainfall on the skylight is amazing and very romantic. The board game nook has a low ceiling but once you’re sitting it isn’t an issue. We had a relaxing stay, enjoying the hot tub, games and puzzles. The stairs made me a bit nervous, being slippery and sometimes slanted. I would be careful if you have mobility concerns. The setting was lovely in the trees.

The cabin was quiet set back from the road and felt like our own private retreat it was just perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better more accommodating stay thanks to Marie and her hospitality. Seeing her dog Dodge and the horses really made our stay extra special and we are definitely looking forward to coming back again in the future.

Marie was wonderful and the visit with the horses was my highlight. The cabin was gorgeous, clean, and quiet. The morning coffee was very much appreciated. Skylight was so nice at night to see stars. Communication was great. 10/10 recommend.

We had a terrific time there. Very private and quiet. Games to play and a hot tub. Sky lights over the bed for star gazing. Complimentary Keurig coffee among other things. Tv and stereo. Free internet and wifi. Lots of windows to watch mother nature. Trails nearby. Host lives on the property but we never saw anyone. Secure with a fob controlled gate. No charge for our pet dog. Lots of deck area to sit in shade or sun. Horseshoe pit and cornhole game.I could go on, but you get the idea. Our host Marie, was very accommodating and pleasant. VRBO instructions didn't include how to open electronic gate. No internet at the road and no way to contact the owner. Fortunately after waiting half hour a hired hand was leaving and showed us where the gate key was. Owner forgot we were arriving on June 29 and cabin wasn't cleaned. We waited an hour while they cleaned the bathroom and brought towels and bedding. The bed in the loft was hot and the log steps were awkward to navigate. Some window cranks wouldn't work.

Our favorite thing was how secluded the cabin feels while still being close to roads and only 10 minutes from town. Lots of indoor and outdoor activities at The Cabin and within an hours drive. We highly recommend you book a stay here.

Cabin is exactly as shown on the pictures. Feels fairly isolated while still being conveniently close to town if you need it. Very well put together and cute. Hot tub is a nice touch and was lovely with the crisp fall air. It was grey and rainy a lot of our stay but thanks to the large area of covered porch we were still able to enjoy a lot of relaxing time outside.

This cabin is so beautiful and a great place to stay. Has all the amenities you could need, check in was a breeze, and communicating with the host was also great. Very secluded, we didn’t see anyone except when we went for groceries/to the public beach. Hot tub was an amazing bonus! Would love to book again.

This was a charming log cabin, well-equipped with amenities, and in a great location in a secluded wooded area just off the main road yet still very close to some of the local attractions. We enjoyed the close proximity to Homestead Orchards, Sibbald Provinicial Park, Antiques on 48, and the Corner House Bistro :) The hot tub was our favourite with the cozy gaming nook our second, PS great selection of coffee provided by the host. Communication with the host leading up to the trip was quite easy, we would definetly stay here again!

The day was good very good. Getting around to shopping antique stores et cetera including Lake Simcoe very easy and convenient. Our host was simply amazing and her horses the same if you get a chance to visit with them it’s worthwhile and just loved her dog Dodge. No complaints here at all

The cabin and surroundings are perfect for a quiet break away from every day life. The Cabin is situated in a lovely clearing and very private. The BBQ and hot tub were great and exactly what we needed. The bed situated under two massive skylights is stunning on a clear night. The Cabin was very clean and had everything you need. Marie was a great host, very responsive to any questions and was very happy to give us a tour of the rest of the property, which included meeting Dodge, her gorgeous dogs and all her horses. We are already planning our next trip!

The cabin is secluded enough to provide 100% privacy but is also close to all amenities, including a large variety of excellent restauants, Big Bear Bar and Grill (Jamaican) and Papa Luigis being 2 of our favs. Hot tub was extensively used, the skylights in the bedroom are awesome and the whole experience was altogether lovely. Marie, our host, was extremely responsive and meeting her horses was a high spot. Highly recommended.

Pictures don't do justice! The attention to detail and the coziness of it, it was absolutely perfect. The twinkle lights that came on at night around the cabin, while relaxing in the hot tub, talk about PEACEFULNESS! It has everything you need to make your stay unforgettable. From kitchen essentials, board games and even movies for a rainy day. You will fall in love with it just like we did! We will definitely be returning!

We booked this little cabin not too long after we got engaged in 2023 and wanted it as a sweet, quite honeymoon for us to spend time together. After the stress of wedding planning - we needed to reconnect as a couple and have time to just be us. This sweet little cabin did just that. We walked the trail not far from it, we went out to a wonderful dinner at one of the places the owner recommends in her guide sheets, we looked at the stars from the hot tub and enjoyed seeing them above the bed in the skylights and we had fun getting a fire going and just talking while eating smores, after a wonderful dinner we made together on the BBQ - from meat we bought at a farm a short drive away. It couldn't have been much more perfect! Any issues/questions we had, the owner was quick to respond! And we got to meet her sweet dog and beautiful horses that you can tell she clearly is very proud of and loves. We learned things about them we hadn't known before and got to enjoy an hour outside, chatting and watching the wonders of the animals. We already have our next visit booked for next year!

From the moment we got there we were super excited, check in information was super easy and quick. The cabin was gorgeous, from the drive in, to the area outside the cabin. It was all breathtaking and easy to navigate. The cabin itself was cute, small, and cozy. An absolute vibe with the scenery and aesthetics! The hot tub was great, super hot and clean! The only complaints were the mosquitos, but not much can be done for those! Everything was clean, tidy, and the host was super sweet and included a lot of extra things like coffe creamer, coffee pods, salt, pepper, and small things like that! Contacting the host is super easy and they got back to us rather quickly! Would definitely recommend and would absolutely come back in the future!

We had so much fun living out of this adorable cabin for a week. The hot tub and skylights in the bedroom were definitely highlights. Marie is so kind and getting to feed the horses was a blast. She communicates so well and goes out of her way to make the experience amazing. We really appreciated how warm and welcomed we felt on our first trip to Canada. This is the perfect romantic getaway!!
We had so much fun living out of this adorable cabin for a week. The hot tub and skylights in the bedroom were definitely highlights. Marie is so kind and getting to feed the horses was a blast. She communicates so well and goes out of her way to make the experience amazing. We really appreciated how warm and welcomed we felt on our first trip to Canada.
