We stayed at Stable Lodge for a family Christmas gathering, and it suited us perfectly. The kitchen was very spacious and perfect for preparing the Christmas dinner together. The lounge was comfortable and cosy, and the layout of the bedrooms was ideal with the downstairs bedroom and bathroom, and three double/twin rooms upstairs, all of which were comfortable too.The garden was also great for our dog to have a safe run around, and there was ample parking.Louise also left us a lovely card, some home made mince pies, a bottle of wine and some supplies in the fridge, all of which were very thoughtful and generous. All in all we had a lovely and very memorable stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful few days in this wonderful property, made all the better by Louise’s warm hospitality. We’d booked before my husband started using a wheelchair, and although it was a little tricky getting through one doorway and into the kitchen, Louise arranged for the downstairs twin bedroom to be turned into a superking bed which made things so much easier for us. The house is incredibly well equipped, clean, and the beds comfortable. The garden and pool was the real highlight. It’s a huge garden that would be wonderful for kids. We had some friends join us for the sunny last couple of days and we enjoyed the solar heated pool and even had dinner in the pool house. Overall a great experience.

Wow we had such a wonderful stay here, Louise was so friendly, relaxed and we felt so welcomed and right at home as soon as we arrived. Each couple had their own light and bright bedroom with a bathroom all to themselves. We all slept so soundly and woke to blue skies and birds. Things we got up to ..relaxing in the garden, BBQs by the pool, group breakfasts in the kitchen, cosy times in the living room and a lovely walk across the fields. We really couldn't rate this stay high enough and hope to stay again in the future :) Also a quick mention of the Doggy & Cat who roamed around and added to the feeling of being at home.

We were a family having a weekend get together for a birthday celebration. Stable Lodge was the perfect place for us. The accommodation is rambling and spacious. Well equipped and comfortably furnished. The swimming pool is the jewel in the crown! We wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Louise is a great host and made our stay perfect.
