Hocking Hills Laikyns Lodge with Indoor pool- Great View!

The Cabin was very spacious for our large family. They absolutely loved the indoor heated pool and hot tub. The kitchen was also spacious enough for several people to be helping without running into each other!

Our family of eight with kids from 4 to 17, had a good time for our March 2023 Spring Break. The house had plenty of space for everyone. The indoor pool was great, just wish we had remembered some pool toys for the little ones. We brought pool towels but didn’t need them, plenty were provided. We were pleasantly surprised to see that everything was provided, spices, coffee filters, coffee, hand soaps, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, bathroom tissue, etc. We’ve stayed in homes where once we checked in we had to run to the store to get those things, most just supply a start, if anything. It was so nice to have them supplied! We drove into down for dinner a few times. A favorite was Millstone Southern BBQ everything was delicious, servings are large. We also ordered pizza from the nearby Capt. Ron’s Pirate Pizza, everyone enjoyed it. On the warmest (above 50F) day of our stay we hiked Old Mans Cave trail it’s just a short drive down the road. It was beautiful, even the 14 year old that didn’t want to hike enjoyed it, we have pictures to prove it! Haha We found plenty to do, we shopped, hiked, had good food, at the house we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, played games, made s’mores, sat by the fireplaces inside and out. We would like to note that the cell service is not good, the driveway is steep, neither of these things would keep us from staying again.

This is a great house and location. The host responded quickly to all questions or concerns. As noted in the description four wheel drive is recommended for the driveway. The house was well stocked from dishes to appliances and the fridge was large enough to hold groceries for 3 families. The pool and hot tub were great for everyone, heated properly and recently cleaned. Pool table, corn hole boards, firewood available for purchase all great amenities that we used as well. We could not get cell service and the Wi-Fi was a bit slow but all were able to manage.

This was by far the best place we have every stayed. Well stocked with toilet paper towels and kitchen supplies/utensils. The home was clean and welcoming. The view was amazing and would definitely stay there again. Pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. We had just enough space not to feel crowed with 4 families.

Laikyns Lodge is an amazing home on a beautiful sprawling property. It is a beautiful, huge log home with quality everywhere. Amazing indoor and outdoor spaces. The warm indoor pool kept 5 kids (and their parents) busy. The walk from the pool to the outdoor hot tub was cold but well worth it. On clear nights, the fire pit is a great gathering spot. When it rained, we all moved to the outdoor wood burning fireplace on the massive covered deck. All in, Laikyns was first rate. We will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful place in a beautiful part of the Hocking Hills. Home was gorgeous. Bit there were/are some things to be aware of. 1. There is zero internet. Yes they'll give you wifi access, but it won't work and you'll be driving to Logan to use wifi. 2. You can not make or receive calls. Same as the wifi, you'll be headed to Logan to make calls. 3. The grill is a joke. We had to go buy our own. Not cool given what we paid. 4. We had 18 or so people at this location. Normally places that hold 18 have 2 or 3 refrigerators because clearly isnt enough. This place has one....so we had groceries brought in daily. 5. Kitchen, like the rest of the house, is beautiful but the utensils are really cheap and not really functional, especially when feeding large groups. We bought our own. 6. There is terribly limited parking. Its bad. And given the terrain you cant park on the grass. That wasn't expected given what we paid. 7. The grounds are beautiful. But the septic smell was.....hard to ignore. Made it a little hard to enjoy the evenings by the beautiful outdoor fireplace. 8. Check in was overly complicated. We didnt have the digital key at 330pm that afternoon. I messaged the owner for it had a member of my team message the owner, too. Not cool since we had 18 people waiting to arrive. We should have clear communication on that. I'm not trying to only dunk on this place. Its gorgeous. But for what we paid, we shouldn't have encountered the issues above.

We held our daughter’s wedding at this beautiful cabin! The front porch provided a stunning setting with an amazing view for ceremony, and the large dining area/living room provided a charming space for our dinner reception. We had approximately 70 guests, and it was slightly crowded, but because of the weather we were unable to use the uncovered deck area which would have allowed us to spread out more. Parking was a bit of a challenge, and we decided to shuttle most people due to the limited parking space and steep drive. Our family was able to enjoy the pool, hot tub, fireplaces, and more the entire weekend allowing us to have a wonderful time together and make so many memories. Ann and Bobby were very responsive and accommodating! They were quick to answer all of my questions and provided anything we could have needed in the house!

The house layout is excellent. The pool and fire pit were a nice bonus. Loved all the decks. We all enjoyed ourselves and had a fabulous time.

This is a beautiful property, very clean, well stocked with all necessities and many things to enjoy! With the weather being so wet the kids spent lots of time swimming so they didn't miss a beat when it came to having fun. Still were able to have a short visit to Ash Cave and had a great evening for the fire pit. Incredible kitchen and living area so had plenty of room for our very large group to cook, eat and hang out. We will definitely come back for another stay

We spent the weekend for a strategic retreat and had a great time. The lodge is spacious, comfortable, and clean. There was plenty of room for 12 of us to work and relax.

A beautiful property with amazing views! The amenities were very nice, as were the furnishings. Everything was very clean and it was close to the hiking trails. Our family, including adult children and grandchildren gathered to celebrate our 45th anniversary and decade birthdays, and we made some great memories! Our internet service was patchy. We found that those with AT&T and T-Mobile got better reception than those with Verizon. In all, it was a wonderful gathering time!

If your looking for a cabin with everything this is the one, an unbeatable view, space for everyone, big kitchen, tons of activities, clean, great management and the list goes on! This house was spectacular. It was perfect for our group of 23. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the ants in the kitchen. It was clear this was an ongoing problem because there were ant traps and spray in there already. We also sprayed multiple times and still had many.

The well-stocked kitchen, including silverware, dishes, paper towels, K-cups, dishwasher pods, trash bags, and cookware, made meal preparation a breeze. The laundry room with detergent pods and the bathrooms with ample supplies of toilet paper, towels, and wash rags were thoughtful touches. Additionally, a fully stocked pool house was a highlight, providing an abundance of towels for everyone in the house. The outdoor fireplace quickly became our favorite spot, and we spent every night there, creating cherished memories. Despite these positive aspects, there were a few areas that could benefit from improvement. Firstly, having only a single fridge for a cabin of this size felt inadequate. With multiple fridges, it would be easier to accommodate larger groups and their food storage needs. Additionally, we noticed that the floors seemed to be quite dirty, as our feet would become visibly dirty by the end of the day. Furthermore, the wireless coverage throughout the property was poor, with only one access point in the basement. To enhance connectivity, installing wireless repeaters throughout the house would greatly improve the signal strength. It would be a welcome addition to have an outdoor fan for the fireplace area. Despite these areas for improvement, our stay at Laikyn's Lodge was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the beautiful Hocking Hills area.

The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly ask for, the bedrooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable, the indoor pool was amazing and all the games in the basement were fun for the kids and adults, and the owners were attentive and wonderful to work with. No complaints whatsoever and we will absolutely recommend to friends and keep in mind for future stays.

The pictures do not do this place justice. It’s absolutely amazing. You can tell the owners thought of everything and really care about the property. Relaxing, fun, incredible view. The pool is in great shape. The owners had Great and pleasant communication. We have stayed at many Vrbos and this has been our best stay overall. This might not matter to some people but even the checkout is easy, only asks you to do a couple of things whereas other places have had a laundry list to complete the morning of checkout.

The house is stunning and the views are spectacular. It is not far from town or many of the hiking trails so the location was really ideal. If you have earlier risers and late sleepers, put those that like to sleep in later in the basement because the big open concept upstairs echos and is quite loud. The house internet/wi-fi is not reliable, which was a problem as we had a young diabetic that typically uses a phone to be monitored and this was not possible. There is no landline so I am not sure what we would have done in the case of an emergency. We tried to call a pizza place and finally gave up and went to town because we could not get enough reception. For older persons, there are not handrails everywhere and some of them were installed incorrectly so that the rail does not reach the top of the steps...I almost fell going up the first time. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, cookware, and basics. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with. The kids LOVED the pool! It was the highlight of the trip for them. We had kids from 18 to 1 staying and they all had things they could do.

Our family stayed for three nights and we were thrilled with this property. Large kitchen that was stocked with more than most rentals provide. We never once said, I wish they had this... Beds were comfortable. Gaming room was a hit with all ages. The pool was so much fun. Warm pool house, heated pool that makes you want to play longer in it. And the hot tub was a nice warm up after playing in the pool. The internet was spotty when we were all on our devices. We had to put devices down a bit which for what we were there to do, relax, wasn't a bad thing. Overall it's a wonderful property, property manager Ann was so responsive to any questions, and we will most certainly stay again.

We had a fabulous time at Laikyns lodge. As a multigenerational family group (ages 4-73), there was something for everyone. I think the best part was just sitting on the upper deck and relaxing and reconnecting with family. This was the best stocked VRBO place we’ve been. The bed /bedroom situation was perfect for our gang, the young kids loved the bunk room. This place was also easy to get to and convenient to lots of different hiking options. So glad they paved the driveway this year. I wish we could do this every year!

We stayed here for our annual family vacation. We had 9 adults and 5 children so it was more than enough room. We had a great time in the pool, hanging out on the deck, playing in the yard, and relaxing as a group watching movies in the living room. The kids loved the game room. We would definitely rent this property again!

We had a wonderful time at Laikyn’s Lodge. . .it TRULY IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. It was perfect for a girl’s weekend. We loved the location and fabulous views, the openness of the main level, the beautiful decks, the pool and hot tub as well as the cozy and comfortable bedrooms. We hope to return next year!!!

We had a wonderful weekend here with a large group of folks. There was something for everyone. The kids loved the pool, and the adults loved the hot tub and fireplaces at night. Communication throughout the entire time was top notch. We will come here to stay again with a large group!

Great place to stay. Ann, the host, really cares about your experience. She made sure to check in with us during our stay to make sure we have everything we needed. I was pleasantly surprised at the time of the year we went that there were no mosquitos. So that was a BIG plus. My favorite part of the trip was being able to sip my coffee in the morning from the deck and watching the deer. There were several deer that came out every morning and evening. Also, I was glad from a safety perspective that the door to the pool has a lock. I was nervous about water safety with younger kids. I didn't want them to sneak off and go in the pool area. I do have younger kids under 2 and if you plan to bring younger kids, consider bringing a baby gate of some sort to be able to block off the stairs to downstairs. We brought a playpen gate that was large enough to cover the stairs at putting a normal baby gate might not work like it would with a normal door opening/entryway.

Just as pictured, the lodge is a beacon of beauty on top of a hill, rising up from the wooded curves of Hocking Hills. The 15 of us gathered for 5 days to celebrate. This is a space of celebration. Ann, the host, was incredibly responsive. She put up anChristmas tree especially for us, despite it being before Thanksgiving. My wife sadly is dying from cancer and we chose to have both family holidays together in her honor. The lodge: its pool , game room, family table, kitchen counter, all enabled our emotional expressions from joy to tears and hugs and adult sharing while kids slept upstairs or played downstairs. We loved this place! We would return. The tweens loved discovering in the woods, finding a great play space at a creek bend, as much as hiking the Old Man’s Cave. The house, large as it is, warmed quickly through heat or fireplace. This is a magical place!

The check in process was very easy and the lodge was huge which was great for all of the folks that we had with us. We had a mix of children and the door lock to the pool was great because of that. There are tons of porches so lots of space for folks to spread out and have breathtaking morning coffee. The location was nice and we loved that there was so much to do for all of the different age groups. We loved that there was no cell phone service and the fact that the WIFI was spotty didn't bother us either. It afforded our family some great bonding times.

Beautiful spot for a small family wedding. Weather was perfect also. Location was great for picking up food and other items. Close drive to shopping. Great choice for us!

The cabin and surrounding area were great! My family had so much fun. Location is close to caves. The view, the pool, the fireplaces were fantastic! I highly recommend staying here.
