We had noticed this property last year when we stayed in Brent’s other property just down the hill. It is a beauty! He and Rosy did a great job on the construction and the fun, modern design. The view of the lake is great and the boathouse is incredibly nice. If you have a lot of stuff (or little ones or seniors) it would make sense to rent the golf cart. The hike down the hill is not far but is a bit steep in places. Brent is always a great host! I’m sure we will be back. 😊

The home was awesome. Well-appointed with everything you need for cooking, cleaning, entertainment, and relaxing. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool table and axe throwing. Thought the wall-mounted arcade game was awesome! Rooms and baths are well-situated. Plenty of room for all of us to stretch out and relax. Lots of room and implements for cooking. All of the appliances are new and high tech. Took advantage of the golf cart rental and enjoyed driving up and down to the dock. And then we have the dock. We’ve been going on fishing vacations for 8 years, 2-3 times per year and this dock has to be one of the best we’ve experienced, if not the best. Whether you are boating or just fishing from the dock like we were, it’s got everything you need!! Plenty of space to cast and drop line fish. Plenty of room for multiple fisherpersons. A huge bar area that serves wonderfully as a staging point for setting up and breaking down gear and with storage space underneath to store your gear so you don’t have to tote it up and down every trip. Totally convenient. Finally, we wanted to mention just how responsive the owner was. He responded to all of our questions promptly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our vacation. From our first inquiry to our final goodbyes, he was right there to help at all times. 5-Stars!!

Amazing stay. Pulled up to an amazing modern lake house a minute from the lake. The boathouse was perfectly situated just inlet of the main lake. So it was less choppy and peaceful for the kids to fish and swim. We spent a day on the lake, drank coffee and made s’mores on the balcony overlooking the priceless view of the lake.

We just spent a fantastic long weekend at this lakeside cabin in Pittsburg, TX with a group of friends, and it was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we pulled in, we felt right at home.The cabin is impeccably clean and thoughtfully appointed. The living spaces are bright, cozy, and have a true “lake retreat” vibe. We loved the comfortable seating and the big windows that let the lake view in all day. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything we needed for our group—ample counter space, quality cookware, and a helpful coffee setup that fueled our mornings before we hit the water.The bedrooms are comfortable and quiet, with plush bedding that ensured we woke up rested and ready for adventures. The bathrooms are modern and spotless, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water after long days on the lake.The real standout is the lake access in a broader sense—the private boat house was incredibly convenient and safe, and having a secure place to store gear made our days on the water effortless. The dock area is perfect for relaxing after a day of boating—sunset views were priceless. The quiet, tucked-away location also gave us the best of both worlds: peaceful mornings on the deck with coffee and lively evenings by the fire pit.

The owners made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The two story house was beautiful and the deck going out had such a beautiful view of the lake. They house was stocked with everything you need but your food. The gas grill made it nice to be able to cook out. Unfortunately it was cold when we stayed so we didn’t get to enjoy the fishing dock, but it had a nice view also of the lake and a place you could sit and drink your coffee. Also loved the big windows in the house, and the one in the shower looking out in the trees to be able to see the wildlife. We would definitely stay here again. Such nice people that own it and such a comfortable place to stay.

We absolutely love this breathtaking home with stunning views! This is our 2nd time staying in this gorgeous home, and we are already planning our next trip! The owners Brent and his wife are so wonderful and gracious hosts with impeccable taste in their home decor! The beds and the furniture are so comfortable and cooking in the fabulous kitchen surrounded by trees and the views of the lake is simply amazing! The fishing is fantastic from their wonderful dock and the golf cart is a blast! We can’t wait to return! Joe and Michelle

There was a scheduling mishap with the cleaning crew however the owner was very apologetic and the cleaning crew arrived within 25 minutes of my call. And the cleaning crew was very professional and friendly and did a great job.The golfcart was a lifesaver and would recommend to future travelers. Boathouse/dock set up nicely and was able to get my paddleboard in and out of the water was ease.Great location on the water and house was awesome. Would highly recommend

This incredible Lake House is like nothing we have ever stayed in before! It could be in Architectural Digest! The owners thought of everything with their stocked kitchen with the best views of Lake Bob Sandlin to inspire the cooks in the family! The furniture is gorgeous and so comfortable and this home is decorator beautiful! The beds are so comfortable and the showers are fabulous, especially the one on the main floor, it’s like an outside shower inside! The Golf Cart to get back and forth to their amazing private dock was also perfect and fun! The dock is wonderful for swimming and fishing and we caught so many fish, blue gills, cat fish, perk and crappies! We cannot wait to return to this majestic home and we cannot thank Brent enough for his wonderful hospitality and kindness, he was awesome! Joe and Michelle, Texarkana TX

The house was great. It was clean and well cared for. The host was easy to communicate with and the property was well stocked. Has great views of the lake and was only a 2 minute walk to the boat house. The golf cart made it easy for our older family members to get down to it. Great place!

Hosts have done a great job of making things easy and comfortable for their guests-the house was very clean, organized, we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay very much. Our dog loved the upstairs deck and the view as much as we did-weather was warm, but the deck was almost always shaded. Brent is a very accessible host and responsive to guests' needs-he even checked in on us to make sure all was going well - definitely appreciate the hospitality and a gracious host and love that they will allow guests with pets to stay in a nice, clean place (which hopefully inspires all folks to leave everything just as neat and clean as they found it upon arrival, so this accommodation can continue). Great place to just relax or get outdoors and enjoy the lake and state parks nearby-no problem finding food and groceries. We really enjoyed our visit and look forward to a return trip.

Brent was a great host, and the home was very nice. It was very clean, and had what we needed for several days with our family. The view is beautiful, and it was fun sitting on the deck looking out over the lake, and the fire pit was so nice to have. Especially the last night, as we could see the Northern Lights from the deck!

House had dead bugs in al of the living room window seals and the floor needed sweeping. The oven didn’t work until we pulled it out and unplugged and then plugged it back in. Advertised as a 4 bedroom but really a 3 bedroom with a loft that was very hard to get up to. Rooms didn’t have any dressers so our clothes had to stay in our luggage. For 1700.00 for 4 days I expected a lot more.

This is a stunning lake house with amazing views of the lake! This home is modern, very clean and has everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. The amazing reality of this property is far beyond what is revealed in the listing! Without a doubt, the nicest, extremely comfortable, most well-equipped and sparkling clean house I have ever rented! Balcony views and high end furniture/appliances were impressive. We even enjoyed watching the motorized window blinds rise and fall each day! There's none better, trust me. Rent this property soon ... but hopefully not during our next planned stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Modern Lakeview Escape. It truly was the perfect last minute little getaway for us. Everything was prestine and very comfortable. The owners had wonderful communication with us the whole time and we had everything we needed. The kitchen was thoroughly stocked with all the tools we needed and then some. They even have the best flash lights all over the house in case we would need them. We would stay at this home again in the future! Wonderful location and they did a great job on the dock, house, etc.

He was a great host and owns a great property that we wouldn’t hesitate to use again. Thank you Brent! The only thing I would add to this place is maybe a couple more TV’s. The amazing reality of this property is far beyond what is revealed in the listing! Without a doubt, the nicest, extremely comfortable, most well-equipped and sparkling clean house I have ever rented! Balcony views and high end furniture/appliances were impressive. We even enjoyed watching the motorized window blinds rise and fall each day! There's none better, trust me. Rent this property soon ... but hopefully not during our next planned stay!

We absolutely love this breathtaking home with stunning views! This is our 2nd time staying in this gorgeous home, and we are already planning our next trip! The owners Brent and his wife are so wonderful and gracious hosts with impeccable taste in their home decor! The beds and the furniture are so comfortable and cooking in the fabulous kitchen surrounded by trees and the views of the lake is simply amazing! The fishing is fantastic from their wonderful dock and the golf cart is a blast! We can’t wait to return! Joe and Michelle

Really nice place and great view all around. In every bedroom a great view in the morning and lights that show whats outside in case you get scared (like me). Great place for cookouts. Everything about this place was great , appliances , toiletries , the pac man machine , comfy living room. I will say at night it does give off spooky vibes and the windows in the bathroom dont help, they dont have any curtains. This is a good place if you want to relax and forget about the outside world for a bit. They also have a lot of things you need for cooking which is great. You can wash your clothes here. Have some games if go in a group. Would be cooler if it had bigger tvs. Recommend going!

Hosts have done a great job of making things easy and comfortable for their guests-the house was very clean, organized, we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay very much. Our dog loved the upstairs deck and the view as much as we did-weather was warm, but the deck was almost always shaded. Brent is a very accessible host and responsive to guests' needs-he even checked in on us to make sure all was going well - definitely appreciate the hospitality and a gracious host and love that they will allow guests with pets to stay in a nice, clean place (which hopefully inspires all folks to leave everything just as neat and clean as they found it upon arrival, so this accommodation can continue). Great place to just relax or get outdoors and enjoy the lake and state parks nearby-no problem finding food and groceries. We really enjoyed our visit and look forward to a return trip.

Brent was a great host, and the home was very nice. It was very clean, and had what we needed for several days with our family. The view is beautiful, and it was fun sitting on the deck looking out over the lake, and the fire pit was so nice to have. Especially the last night, as we could see the Northern Lights from the deck!

There was a scheduling mishap with the cleaning crew however the owner was very apologetic and the cleaning crew arrived within 25 minutes of my call. And the cleaning crew was very professional and friendly and did a great job.The golfcart was a lifesaver and would recommend to future travelers. Boathouse/dock set up nicely and was able to get my paddleboard in and out of the water was ease.Great location on the water and house was awesome. Would highly recommend

The house was great. It was clean and well cared for. The host was easy to communicate with and the property was well stocked. Has great views of the lake and was only a 2 minute walk to the boat house. The golf cart made it easy for our older family members to get down to it. Great place!

We had noticed this property last year when we stayed in Brent’s other property just down the hill. It is a beauty! He and Rosy did a great job on the construction and the fun, modern design. The view of the lake is great and the boathouse is incredibly nice. If you have a lot of stuff (or little ones or seniors) it would make sense to rent the golf cart. The hike down the hill is not far but is a bit steep in places. Brent is always a great host! I’m sure we will be back. 😊

Amazing stay. Pulled up to an amazing modern lake house a minute from the lake. The boathouse was perfectly situated just inlet of the main lake. So it was less choppy and peaceful for the kids to fish and swim. We spent a day on the lake, drank coffee and made s’mores on the balcony overlooking the priceless view of the lake.

My family loved it here. Cozy, comfortable home with beautiful views. Our boys fished off the dock while we relaxed on the deck. It was fantastic. The hosts suggestions (Los Pinos Winery) were great too.

We had a great Labor Day weekend at the lake house. Bob Sandlin is the perfect lake for a relaxing vacation, great fishing and it's never busy. The house was beautiful and brand new with everything in excellent condition. We enjoyed the peaceful location of the house and the kids loved seeing the wildlife. The trek down the hill to the lake is a little steep so the golf cart was helpful when carrying lots of stuff. We will definitely stay here again.

The owners made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The two story house was beautiful and the deck going out had such a beautiful view of the lake. They house was stocked with everything you need but your food. The gas grill made it nice to be able to cook out. Unfortunately it was cold when we stayed so we didn’t get to enjoy the fishing dock, but it had a nice view also of the lake and a place you could sit and drink your coffee. Also loved the big windows in the house, and the one in the shower looking out in the trees to be able to see the wildlife. We would definitely stay here again. Such nice people that own it and such a comfortable place to stay.

This incredible Lake House is like nothing we have ever stayed in before! It could be in Architectural Digest! The owners thought of everything with their stocked kitchen with the best views of Lake Bob Sandlin to inspire the cooks in the family! The furniture is gorgeous and so comfortable and this home is decorator beautiful! The beds are so comfortable and the showers are fabulous, especially the one on the main floor, it’s like an outside shower inside! The Golf Cart to get back and forth to their amazing private dock was also perfect and fun! The dock is wonderful for swimming and fishing and we caught so many fish, blue gills, cat fish, perk and crappies! This incredible Lake House is like nothing we have ever stayed in before! It could be in Architectural Digest! The owners thought of everything with their stocked kitchen with the best views of Lake Bob Sandlin to inspire the cooks in the family! The furniture is gorgeous and so comfortable and this home is decorator beautiful! The beds are so comfortable and the showers are fabulous, especially the one on the main floor, it’s like an outside shower inside! The Golf Cart to get back and forth to their amazing private dock was also perfect and fun! The dock is wonderful for swimming and fishing and we caught so many fish, blue gills, cat fish, perk and crappies! We cannot wait to return to this majestic home and we cannot thank Brent enough for his wonderful hospitality and kindness, he was awesome! Joe and Michelle, Texarkana TX

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Modern Lakeview Escape. It truly was the perfect last minute little getaway for us. Everything was prestine and very comfortable. The owners had wonderful communication with us the whole time and we had everything we needed. The kitchen was thoroughly stocked with all the tools we needed and then some. They even have the best flash lights all over the house in case we would need them. We would stay at this home again in the future! Wonderful location and they did a great job on the dock, house, etc.

Really nice place and great view all around. In every bedroom a great view in the morning and lights that show whats outside in case you get scared (like me). Great place for cookouts. Everything about this place was great , appliances , toiletries , the pac man machine , comfy living room. I will say at night it does give off spooky vibes and the windows in the bathroom dont help, they dont have any curtains. This is a good place if you want to relax and forget about the outside world for a bit. They also have a lot of things you need for cooking which is great. You can wash your clothes here. Have some games if go in a group. Would be cooler if it had bigger tvs. Recommend going!

Great property, wish fishing would have been a little better, but I think weather played a big part in that outcome. Great location! Greatly appreciated the hospitality.

The lake house is absolutely beautiful with an amazing view of the lake. The boat house is a short walk down the road. I love how it is nestled in the trees.There's ample parking, the house is spotless, and has everything you need to cook if you don't feel like going out. The beds are beautiful and comfortable. I actually slept soundly the entire night, which seldom happens.The host was gracious and always responded quickly.10 out of 10, would love to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The lake view from patio was amazing. Would definitely recommend staying here and would be happy to come back again.

This was perfect for our girls getaway. We enjoyed the space- the large windows and view for rainy times and cloud watching, the patio with firepit and table with great umbrella and the short walk down to the boathouse. The table and chairs at the boathouse have been replaced with picnic tables but we just sat on the deck. The stairs were a bit challenging to get all our stuff up to the main level but once we did we were fine. The loft stairs were not usable for us older gals- very steep. The whole house water filter was great and there was a bag of ice left in the freezer. We had everything we needed to enjoy a wonderful catch up time. Thank you Brent!
